Recently booked a private tour of the Copper Rivet for 3 people, one of whom was 80 years old. Once I'd explained what I wanted all was put in place exactly as requested. My party was greeted on arrival with warm smiles and a genuine enthusiasm to ensure all aspects of our visit was top-notch. After a history of the site presentation we were shown into the main distillery. Each step of the process was explained in a fun, informative manner. All our questions were answered. We were told interesting facts around some common sayings, such as "Son of A Gun" and how almost all the ingredients are sourced locally whenever possible. After the detailed tour we were shown 5 different drinks produced on site. We assume we'd be allowed to have a sample of one of them. However, this was not the case. Instead we were actually allowed to taste ALL 5 alcoholic beverages. Mixers were provided too and often adding the mixer gave a completely different flavour. The only tiny downside to this was that the driver of the group was clearly not able to participate in drinking 5 shots of alcohol. On a previous visit, about 5 years ago, the driver was not given the shots to try, but received a miniature to take home and drink at leisure. Perhaps this idea could be re-introduced to ensure all members of the group get to enjoy the tour equally? After the five shots - all of which were exceptionally tasty - we were taken into the bar and offered ANOTHER free shot of our choice. The weather was sunny, so we were then able to take our drinks into the outside seating area where we chatted whilst over-looking Upnor Castle and the Medway. The staff went over and above to ensure the needs of one of our party were met, and we hope to make a return visit to try the whisky blending experience soon too. A fascinating couple of hours, where we were made to feel very welcome and got more free alcohol than we imagined! Thank you :)

Popped in to grab a bottle of whisky for Father’s Day and ended up staying for a drink in the sun by the river—a nice cold pint of Curious Brew IPA for me and something with a bit of fizz for the mrs!

The staff here are always super friendly and really happy to chat about what they do. They suggested we try the distillery tour, so a few weeks later I ordered a voucher online for my dad's birthday so we could do the tour and whisky tasting.

Ordering online was quick and easy, and the voucher arrived in the post in no time. It's great having somewhere like this so close to home. Really looking forward to the tour now—highly recommend checking them out!
