We had S.D.E Plastering come out to do our rendering. From the moment we discussed possible renders we knew Corksol was the best option. He applied it perfectly and the difference in both heat retention and sound proofing has been incredible. We live on a main road and since the installation of Corksol the noise from outside had been massively reduced. I would highly recommend Corksol and S.D.E Plastering for any rendering projects.

Don't usually leave reviews but felt this one was necessary.
I posted on Facebook asking for recommendations for a company as I wanted my house rendering. I messaged a couple of the recommendations and corksol was one of them. I spoke to a guy called Jamie who was incredibly knowledgeable and extremely helpful and helped me choose the best option for me. What I liked was that Jamie explained the product to me, the process and what I could expect and personalised it to what I wanted rather than it sounding like a sales script.
I took a couple of days to decide as I had contacted a couple of different places, and like everyone looked here for reviews. I noticed some not very positive ones and did become a little anxious, however because I had spoken to Jamie I had a gut feeling about him and we decided to go with it and I am so glad that we did.
From the get go, communication was spot on and everything went pretty smoothly, I say pretty smoothly only because I wanted my husband to be home when it was started so we had to find a suitable date!
Anyway, all in all a fabulous job and cannot recommend corksol enough. I recommend them to any posts I see asking for recommendations.
Thank you to Jamie for recommending corksol for my rendering I am in love with how my house looks and will definitely use you guys in the future - maybe when winter comes I'll be wanting my conservatory roof done 😃

We had Corksol spray coated our whole house externally in April 2024 by SmartFixSystems Limited.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for doing an excellent job of installing the Corksol Spraycork rendering on our house. We are very happy with the results. Many of our neighbours have praised how good it looks on our house.

We have been extending and renovating our house since May 2023. During this time, we have dealt with many building contractors of varying sizes. The work and services from SmartFixSystems is one of the best experiences we have. Every aspect of the project from enquiry to quotation, planning, scheduling and execution were all professionally done.

I particularly appreciate the timely communications. Dave of SmartFixSystems kept me informed every single step of the way so that I was able to plan around my schedule. He and his team were meticulous in the preparation work. He applied the Corksol spray coating professionally over a few days and I was impressed with his attention to details. We are very pleased with the renewed look of our house. When the spray rendering was done, he carefully cleared and cleaned all the areas affected from the installation. This demonstrates a company really care about their customers and their work.

Once again, my thanks for an excellent job of installing Spraycork rendering on our house. Our 100 years old house looks amazing and our neighbours agreed. I hope the product will withstand the British weather in the years to come and we have no reason to doubt that.

Your nominated contractor, Peter Gay is a plasterer with 40 years experience plus extensive building knowledge (he dislikes the term "builder"!) and carried out our rendering project with the help of his team (Matt & Chris). We were very impressed with their attitude and standard of work, which seems to have been transposed from a previous era when craftsmen took pride in their work. They resolved a number of other problem issues created by other tradesmen (yes, they were all male) for us. He will now be known by us as "Pukka" Peter.

Whilst not inexpensive compared with other render finishes, Corksol's advertised qualities are superior and the finish is pleasing to the eye, improving the visual impact of our building whilst providing it with crucial rain-proofing.

Leeds Render Systems applied CorkSol to my tired looking 1940s house to help insulate and facelift the property.
Jordan and his team were great to work with, very organised and tidy providing a fantastic finish.
Would highly recommend LRS and the CorkSol product.

I can’t recommend Spread it plastering and coving limited enough.
Marcus and Son were really conscientious and
Friendly. Communication was excellent, an absolute pleasure to deal with.
They went to great lengths to protect the rest of the room and floors.
We have a very old north facing wall prone to extreme condensation and after extensive research found and went for CorkSol on an internal wall followed by lime plaster a week later.
Time will tell, but the room already feels warmer and drier!

Neil and the P Taylor & Sons (Plasterers) Ltd team did a great job of repairing and respraying the front of my property. Looks great and my property definitely has the curb side appeal I was after and the work seems to have rectified the previous cracks and repairs undertaken in quick time. Thanks Neil - great effort and results 👍

We had corksol applied in our uninsulated 1850s home to what is now our son’s nursery by AJB Plastering of Shifnal, Shropshire, as part of a full re-plastering job.

Andy recommended the project and the price seemed completely reasonable for the work involved. The room does seem to be cooler in the sun and warmer in cold weather than previously, so all in all a good product doing what it is designed for!

We recently used corksol on our solid wall Victorian property. We were recommended the product by Ollie from Thermofinish who we contracted to over spray the rear of our property. We were suffering from lots of hair line cracks and the property was very cold. We were cautious at first but once Ollie explained the benefits it was a no brainer.

Our property now feels so much warmer and looks great. It’s really made a difference more than I thought it would.

The service Ollie (Thermofinish) provided was 5 star and so far so is the product, we look forward to winter months and hopefully a significant drop in our heating bills.

Recently had two rooms done at different times by Andy an approved Shropshire contractor. The work he did was second to none. The preparation was excellent. Andy stripped the plaster off the walls to the brick where necessary due to damp problems. He then sprayed two coats of the CorkSol before plastering.

It's probably too early to say how effective it is for improving insulation. However, the room that was done first does seem warmer than it was previously. The appearance of the walls, which were very uneven are much improved. We now have walls that the look like they have been newly plastered, smooth with no cracks.

Brilliant product used by a brilliant contractor. Shropshire Coatings used Corksol on an outside bedroom wall ( the house is single brick) and what a difference it has made. The wall is no longer damp and you can tell the difference in the insulation. I have already booked Shropshire Coatings to come and do another room for me later this year. Brilliant product and trustworthy contractor. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience throughout. The contractor was excellent and true to his word every step of the way. The quality of the product is also exceptional. The highlight was definitely the customer service, with excellent communication through out.

paid £4.800 for house to be sprayed, been three years trying to get patches and cracking fixed but neither corksol or applicator interested even though applicator gave worthless 15 year guarantee. could write a book on phone calls and emails but no positive outcome.
worst mistake i ever made using this company. Use them at your peril. After reading your slipery answer to my review im sure readers will see through the type of business you operate, i endorse again corksol have no after care for their customers and should be thorougly ashamed to not make an ounce of commitment to put bad experience right, buck passing at its finest 😡

We used a corksol approved contractor who do a lot of work with corksol. They sprayed it too thin, with no primer, you could see the wall colour through the first coat, they said they were finished and didn’t want to do another coat until we forced them to. I even rang corksol to ask how thick it should be and they confirmed that for any insulator properties it has to be much thicker. I asked if they could recommend another contractor and they didn’t want to as they said ‘we don’t get involved in any disputes’, they only handed over a couple of numbers when I told then I had a 3 month old baby and wanted to get back into my house. the contractor wanted more money from us and it still wasn’t thick enough after more spraying. I wish I could say it worked wonders but it wasn’t done properly.

Appointed approved contractor to perform work - Warranty for work being withheld as corksol only issue warranty is contractor receives full payment (Contractor has no interest in fixing the issue created at my property). Waste of time anyway - 6 weeks after corksol was sprayed on the inside of the external walls at the front of my property black mould has started to form again so back to using dehumidifiers.....
Applicators are approved by corksol so absolving themselves of any responsibility of bad practices is easy (as per below response)
2nd - electrical work was performed in the walls before corksol installation there were no signs of any rising damp or any other type of damp inside the walls so product has not helped and failed very quickly

After a struggle to find a contractor AP Coatings agreed to carry out the work in early 2023. They were very quick (too quick?) and I did ask them if they had done the preliminary filling work well enough.
There have been 3 problems: firstly, the denim blue coating was sprayed too thinly in some cases so looks paler; secondly, they omitted spraying a piece of wall that subsequently leaked badly; and thirdly, a crack has developed on an area that was sprayed, and water has leaked into the sitting room. This last probably resulted from contractors not carrying out rigorous pre-treatment on a pre-existing crack, but simply spraying over the top.
The contractors have since gone into liquidation so I am left with an expensively leaking house and no redress

Just had some corksol on the outside of my house and wow its impressive and makes my house stand out to the other houses on the street , definitely recommend to get this done , the guys were absolutely brilliant and no mess on the drive way. I'm looking at getting this done for my mum. Great staff and company

Hi had corksol sprayed to the inside of my house and wow what a different it has made its warmer and got rid of the mould would highly recommend this company

Jamie provided excellent service and workmanship was second to none. Very reliable company and the end result was of a very high standard and the product I would recommend to anyone considering using cork sol for the exterior of their property or business.

This product sounded fantastic so we paid extra for our builders to use this instead of the traditional render and roofing finish. After 3 months our roof leaked and the render looked really patchy, it looks awful!
Apparently the product failed and Corksol accepted this, saying it would repaired under the warranty.
Our builders have been trying for 6 months now to get something in writing so that it can get resprayed - Corksol are dragging their heels and we are being forced to look for alternative products.
Poor quality product and absolutely terrible aftercare.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
