I had a very friendly and helpful interaction with the customer representative today regarding my enquiry. The staff member was lovely to deal with, professional, and genuinely helpful. I would highly recommend this provider based on the excellent customer service I received.

I’ll keep this as brief as I can but horrible customer service and extremely expensive. They sent my bill to debt collectors when it was only 4 days past the due date, violating their own terms and conditions. It was due Monday the 3rd of August and had debt collectors contacting by the Friday (7th of August) Their contract states: “ If you haven't paid your bill by the pay-by date, we'll send you a reminder notice that payment is due and must be paid. The reminder notice will give you a further due date for payment that will be no fewer than 6 business days after we issue the notice.”

Well they never did that. Not only did they not give a “further due date” they never even bother to contact me. My first contact was from a debt collectors. Again, 4 DAYS after the due date It wasn’t even the “final bill” because I got that today the, the 12th of August. Cherry on top is that bill had the entire amount in it and the due date the 28/08/2026. But the debt collectors said that the due date did not “apply to the previous amount due” because it had already “begun the collections process.”

I paid the bill in full today, the only reason I hadn’t was I had a big unexpected expense come up. The fact they immediately sent debt collectors after me days after it was due without contacting me first, violating their own market contract terms and conditions is disgraceful behaviour.

The craziest part is, I message CovaU to follow up on all of this and apparently I had an $86 credit on my account I never knew about. Again, no contact from CovaU advising if the credit. No mention of it on my invoices. Nothing on my account. Literally no communication. I never would have known if I didn’t message them. And like, why did they not just deduct that off the bill? Instead I’ve already paid it and full and now have to go through all the steps to get the money refunded. Which I’m glad of course I’m getting some money. It’s just frustrating I was never told about it and don’t understand why it wasn’t just taken off my bill.

Anyway, do no sign up with CovaU. The sign up offer may look good but the prices will immediately go up and be extremely expensive. And they will never communicate with you and not follow their own terms and conditions.

Great company to deal with and honest staff to help.

I contacted CovaU to update my gas plan based on a savings recommendation on my bill. The agent was apologetic: the offered plan had lapsed by the time I'd paid the invoice and seen the recommendation.

Still, she found me the best alternative available, and it beat every other option I'd compared. She even manually calculated the comparative savings on my old bill live with me over the call.

Based on this I changed the plan and was relatively happy with the outcome with CovaU and very happy with the service from the agent; I did ask her to provide feedback to CovaU management that it's not great form to advertise a plan that lapses shortly after the invoice is sent out, giving customers little time to action.

To my great surprise, she went far beyond what was needed; following up internally to get the original advertised plan extended to me, then calling back to confirm I was happy with it.

That's fantastic service. Thank you to the agent: CovaU is lucky to have her. That kind of customer service is what builds customer loyalty and trust, which is in short supply these days.

It was strange at first, l got a call from Covau, returned call, spoke to a lovely lady that helped me sort out my issue with a smart meter not wanting it installed, because my husband is on a hospital bed on electricity 24/7 so she put in that request for me, l just need to submit a medical letter saying the need for him ongoing. Thanks to Rochelle helping me today.

Problem resolved.

I’ve contacted customer service with a couple of issues/inquiries. The phone was answered by the fourth ring, the technician (Inri) was very professional and got both issues sorted out în a timely manner.

I recently signed with CovaU after checking rates on the Energy Made Easy website. They were so much cheaper than my previous supplier. Contact person was Opalyn and she was very helpful in signing me up.

JD was very efficient and responsive and solved my issue immediately and waited patiently while i fiddled with my PC

Easy switch over to a new cheaper plan and the customer service was a very pleasant experience.
