Constant Bluetooth issues and incessant in-app Cricut Access ads

Until now, they haven't fixed the Bluetooth connectivity issues. I have to unpair and reconnect every 3 days or so, along with daily Bluetooth disconnections.
There are at least 6 other locations where they advertise their Access subscription. Even if you disable the option for in-app marketing/advertisement notifications, it doesn't work. This should be illegal to force ads upon the user within the UI. Another capitalist company trying to force unnecessary and over-priced subscriptions on folks who already paid and own a Cricut.

N'achetez jamais Cricut !

n'acheter pas leur machine au prix que c est et vu les énorme problème c est le plus mauvais des investissement que vous pouvez faire

aucun sport, ma machine fonctionner (avec tout les problème au quotidien qu' on essais de se débrouillé pour résoudre) jusqu'au jour ou leur logiciel remplis de bug c est mis à jour et là il a foutu en l air ma Maker 3 et quand j ai contacter le support ils m ont dis après un seul essais pour résoudre le problème qu' ils pouvais rien faire ! alors que c est leur foutu logiciel qui l'a mis en panne!

n'acheter aucune machine Circut c est de la daube, ils ont tout mis dans le marketing pour vendre cher leur saleté puis plus rien aucun support aucune réparation vous vous retrouverez seule alors que c est de leur faut !

The Cricut software is a joke

The machine itself does what it's supposed to do - it cuts. However, the accompanying software that you are forced to use is an absolute joke.
First of all the software is really slow and that has nothing to do with my laptop or internet connection.
It also frequently loses connection (to the Cricut server I assume?) and so if I am in the middle of working on getting an image ready for print/cut then the whole thing crashes and I have to start all over again, sometimes before it is possible to save the project.
It has made me rage a few times at this point. Will try to switch machines to another brand as soon as possible.

SUCH a let down!

SUCH a let down!

Cricut machines are truly a let-down. Although advertised as the ‘apple’ of the creative equipment community, there is nothing innovative about the machines, and to be honest, they are good for little else than basic craft. Conceptually, these machines are incredible, and on paper, the Cricut is amazing, but in reality, they fall short EVERY TIME. The design space software is AWFUL, and it genuinely feels like there is not a single test creative on their development team! Why is the software so inefficient? After all these years, you still can't upload multiple files or fill in block text??? The lack of accuracy is astonishing. The development issues are laughable, and the running of the design space, even for simple things, is just plain bad.

The whole point of these creative craft machines and all their add-on tools is to allow people to create for themselves or their small businesses. However, everything about the make of the Cricut is just subpar. The embossing tool is disappointing, the foiling tool is a let-down, and the pen abilities are so limited. The lack of development within both the machines and the software is shocking. Besides making simple decal designs to slap on a mug for Etsy, these machines are just inadequate. Cricut is a prime example of the perfect theoretical piece of tech with awful execution.

Disappointing as I spent so much time and money purchasing all the add-ons to make the most of the machine, yet, without fail, every single time I use the machine, a new facet of its inadequacy reveals itself. For context, I am no beginner in the creative industry and have experience with both at-home and professional equipment. Which is why it sucks to have to give the Cricut a bad review! I waited a year to write this, as I wanted to give the machine a fair shot and really research and learn how to use it first before forming any opinions. Also, the fact that on top of how poor and limited their design space is, the Cricut is also so incompatible when working with other software to import designs, for example, the Adobe suite, makes the machine even more of a let-down to use.

There should be an option for ZERO stars...

Just when you think it cannot get any worse, they do another update to prove you wrong.

I thought the Cricut Design Space software was absolutely horrible before the last update(s).
Now its borderline unusable. Seriously Cricut, WTF are you doing?

Whoever keeps vibe coding this monstrosity needs to be fired, then bring on some real developers. I would fire whomever is in charge of this project, as they obviously don't know what they are doing.

There should be an option for ZERO stars, because that's what they deserve,

geen adapter voor machine te krijgen.

Onze nieuwe pup heeft helaas mijn adapter van de Cricut Joy kapot gebeten. Dan verwacht je dat je deze kunt bestellen. De medewerker van de klantenservice verwijst je naar Cool Blue, Mediamarkt en Bol.com. Daar krijg je weer te horen dat je voor dit soort onderdelen bij Cricut moet zijn. Teruggebeld naar Cricut, daar krijg je te horen dat je alleen een nieuwe machine kunt kopen en er geen losse onderdelen te krijgen zijn. Zeer slechte service!

Stay away from this dont waste your…

Stay away from this dont waste your money.
It says that it cuts paper ... well it doesnt even with all the googles changing the setting it just rips all my labels the blades brand new so its nothing to do with that and the settings shown are the ones I was told to use again it doesnt work.
NOW FOR THE SOFTWARE ..... WOZERS
The desgin space is something i would defintly not expect from a company of this size... It is constantly buffering and I have been checking my internet speed and it has nothing to do with that
I upload things onto the canvas and its like a game of Russian roulette 80% of the time it either doesnt load up or then causes it to crash and lose loads of work. Even saving it still loses hours of work, Ive emailed but they must hvae ghosts as never reply but what did i expect.
Ive spent the last two days working on 30 labels to print out and spent more time having to redo everything which is now put me behind.
I got recommened this due to my hands not being able to cut properly anymore and boy do I now have an expensive paper weight and dust gather
I dont have money to waste and sadly I cant afford to replace this so now having to put off my new small business opening because of this issues
I WOULD NEVER BUY ONE OF THESE AGAIN dont waste your money even with all the advice on google nothing works its just a purchase from hell

Rücksendung ist unterirdische und…

Rücksendung ist unterirdische und unmöglich!!! Bis man eine Rücksendung hin bekommt sehr kompliziert und anstrengend. Immer noch keinen Rückruf seit 1 Woche und keine Mail. Die Produkte sind top shop schlecht jedenfalls die Rücksendung als überlegt euch was ihr kauft.

La qualité du logiciel est pitoyable

La qualité du logiciel est pitoyable, impossible de créer son projet chez soi et l'enregistrer sur clé afin de le partager facilement.
Les mises à jour sont incessantes et toujours aussi inefficaces.
Le logiciel est pratiquement inutilisable pour un débutant
Dommage car la partie découpe est excellente.

Cricut is nothing but over priced junk & don’t last

In 2022 I bought the cricut maker 3 bundle, 3 years ago, i do not use it often a few times a year, i bought both cricut lamps (desk & floor) replace the floor one with in 6 months, it was under warranty so no problem, i got the joy & joy extra. So far no issues, i got the autopress, the connecting wire is fraying & soon it’s not going to work, sometimes i have to unplug it a few times before it actually come on without an error mgs. I got the mini press, which was replaced. I got the easy press & mug press so far no issues, i have bought numerous supplies from cricut as well. All these things only get used a few times year, my maker 3 up & stop working this was like the 2nd time i used it all year. They gave me a $50 credit to buy another one, i purchase a maker 4 now, while on the phone with support i ask them how can i replace the wire for my autopress. They was going to put in a request for me to get another wire control panel box. I get a mgs saying it was denied. Now i spent thousands on this cricut stuff, as i bought most in 2022, & now in 2025 it’s garbage, if i would have known this stuff was such low quality i would have never, but i was new to crafting when i got these things. My siser romeo never gave me any problems & to think i was going to try to get rid of it to get venture, now im thinking to return the maker 4, get siser juliet & be done with cricut. It’s over priced junk that

Very expensive and just basic functions without subscription

I purchased the Cricut Maker expecting a high-quality cutting machine, but unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.

First of all, the initial cost of the machine is already quite high, which would be fine if it was a one-time investment. However, what Cricut doesn’t make clear enough is that to unlock many of its essential features, you must pay for an expensive subscription. Without it, you’re very limited in what you can do, which makes the machine feel incomplete right out of the box.

This ongoing cost adds up quickly and turns what seems like a one-time purchase into a continuous expense. It feels like paying for a premium product twice — first for the hardware, then again just to actually use all of its capabilities.

What’s even more frustrating is that there are much cheaper alternatives on the market that do not require any subscription fees. These other machines cost a fraction of the price, and in many cases, they perform just as well, if not better, than the Cricut Maker. With those alternatives, you pay once and fully own the device and its features, which feels much fairer and more transparent.

Overall, I cannot recommend the Cricut Maker. It’s overpriced, restrictive, and built around a subscription model that feels exploitative. If you value both your budget and your creative freedom, I’d strongly suggest looking into other brands before committing to Cricut.

Disgusting customer service

Placed an order for 18 items on 20th and got a delivery date of 27th August, delivery date came but delivery was returned to sender before even leaving the Netherlands. Went on chat and was told to wait 24 hours, didn’t hear anything so back on chat again and again was told to wait, finally on 1st September they said they have re sent my order, got delivery date for 4th, delivery arrived but was only 5 items, out of the 5 I only ordered 1 of those items. Back on chat and again get told to wait a day to find out what’s happening, we’re now on 7th, still no order, refund or reply to many emails!! Where are my other 17 items???

Terrible! Avoid

I had exactly the same experience as Megan below. I managed to speak to someone helpful at cricut, eventually and she said when it gets delivered refuse it (I also went out and bought one from Hobbycraft) then call them back for a refund. This was Friday and the money has just gone in to my Monzo.
If you accept the order it takes longer and you may not get a refund at all.
I have no idea how to get in contact with the lady below this review but please don’t accept when dhl eventually deliver.

I would love to give the company no…

I would love to give the company no stars. The customer service and the company are atrocious. I purchased a circuit joy extra wouldn’t cut very well, complained and was told there was nothing they could do. Ended up selling it at a quarter of the cost .
More fool me thought I needed a better machine , purchased the Explore 4, same problem, big designs it is okay, but intricate designs , absolutely useless. Tried changing blades, the settings, paper the lot.
Contacted customer service team, had it one month … told no sorry basically go away .
I wouldn’t touch this company with a barge pole. I am hoping , I might get somewhere with trading standards.

It’s a long one, but we’ll worth it for the sheer bonkers-ness!!!
Like many other reviewers, I would give negative stars if I could!
Back in April, my wife bought an Easy Press 2, Mug Press and a Maker 4. The Easy Press was faulty upon arrival, but my wife assumed she was just getting used to using it. After about 2 weeks error messages appeared on the Easy Press, and it was taking 10 minutes to heat up. The issue was intermittent, so she called Cricut support. My wife was sent a reference code via email, that she had to write down, video and then email back to Cricut. Then Cricut requested that the serial number be filmed, along with the error occurring. This took a day, as the problem was intermittent. Cricut agreed to replace the Easy Press 2, but took 3 weeks just to send the return labels! They refused to issue a refund. In the meantime, my wife decided to buy a different machine from another brand, and was able to get a refund from our bank for the Easy Press 2. Eventually we were able to return the faulty Easy Press 2 back to Cricut. However, (get ready!), as the bank refund generated a dispute with Cricut, Cricut deactivated the Maker 4, rendering it useless, even though it’s a completely separate (and working) product! Multiple calls to Cricut support explaining that the dispute had been resolved led nowhere, and now (August), the Maker 4 is still not activated!
Thinking it was a one-off, my wife decided to buy an Auto-Press, as there had been very good reviews on YouTube. Now, the Auto Press is great…. When it works! Unbelievably, after about 3 months, the Auto-Press developed an issue! Again, intermittently, it would not start the heating process, despite the lights showing. Multiple calls to support, and going through the troubleshooting process twice, Cricut agreed to send a new machine, which would take up to 14 Business days. A week later, they emailed my wife to say, they weren’t sending a new one, because the video sent showing the error showed the heating light was lit, even though she had explained the light worked, but it still would not heat up! 4 months along, and only the mug press works, with no refunds or replacements on the faulty machines! Crazy times…. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!!

SCAM AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Terrible service. I orded a Cricut maker 4 directly from their website as they had a bundle sale on. I wish that I went somewhere local in the first place. I had a delivery date of Wednesday 27th of August but I received a notification saying it was being returned to sender. I contacted DHL and they said that it was due to Cricut not filling out the customs form correctly. So, I reached out to Cricut who said that they would help with a refund withing 24-48 hours. That passed so I contacted them again on the 29th and they said they would be back urgently. I have contacted them today and they are saying they aren't processing a refund as they are saying it is still being delivered. I asked for the proof and they sent me the tracking number that says it was returned to sender. They are saying it will be delivered 'soon'. When it was returned, I went to hobbcraft and picked up a machine. What rubbish service and terrible customer service. Avoid ordering directly from Cricut as you will not receive your item and they keep your money.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Shoddy and cheap equipment.

I had a faulty machine, and they've refused to refund or replace as I only discovered the fault when I first unboxed the item last week.

They've refused to escalate to customer relations, I've only had the same robotic response offering £50 off a new machine when I've six years under consumer law to report the fault. It's been safe in storage for three years while I was getting divorced and dealing with the death of a parent, I finally got a new home and space to use it, and it's faulty. My argument is that I would have discovered that fault had I opened the box and set up the machine when it was first purchased so what's the difference now? Plus I've got six years under the consumer rights law in this country! Yet the battle continues. Save yourself time and energy and buy a Silhouette cutting machine.

Not business-friendly in Portugal — VAT invoicing chaos and unhelpful support

We’re a VAT/IVA-registered company in Portugal and bought directly from Cricut. They happily charged IVA at checkout but, despite multiple requests, could not issue a proper Portuguese invoice with our NIF. All we received were generic receipts without the required company details, which makes VAT/IVA recovery impossible and creates accounting headaches.

Customer service made it worse. Responses were scripted, agents didn’t seem to understand either the product or basic invoicing requirements for Portugal, and tickets were bounced around without a real solution. When we asked for a refund because they couldn’t provide the documentation our accountant requires, they refused.

The result? Hours lost explaining non-compliant receipts to accounting, expenses we can’t reconcile cleanly, and money tied up with no resolution.

If you sell into Portugal and charge IVA, you should be able to issue a compliant invoice with NIF details or offer a straightforward refund. Until Cricut fixes its invoicing and trains support to handle these cases, I can’t recommend them for Portuguese businesses.

Alors sachez que les délais de livraison sont très long, aucune communication, bref ça ne vaut même pas 1 étoile. J’aurais dû lire les avis avant de commander

Sav nul très mécontente 😡

Impossible de pouvoir me connecter au design space toujours de nouvelles versions tel sav il ne savent même pas nous renseigner
Passez 2h au tel
La personne a était incapable de pouvoir nous aider dans notre demande
Toujours de nouvelles versions problème de décalage
Et quand la personne ne comprends pas elle nous raccroche au nez ( 2 fois)
Je vais supprimer mon abonnement très mécontente
Aucune explication ni mail de la part a chaque fois cricut pour des nouvelles versions
