I live local so know the area very well, what the management of this pub doesn’t realise is they are not on the French Riviera, they are actually about half a mile from West Sussex main sewage outlet into the estuary, that washes past there eating and drinking area, and you know what a pint of IPA will cost you £7.40!!!! I’m not really bothered about the smell but £7.40 a pint get right up my nose…….

We went for a meal at The Crown and Anchor and were very disappointed we both ordered the plaice which was salty and it came with cabbage, which my husband couldn’t cut and the potatoes were overcooked in their skins, we both had desserts which were ok, and the bill came to £80 it certainly wasn’t worth the that. It will be a long time until we go back, which was a shame as we have always loved it there.
