The service and state of the car was shocking. We had to sit in the car in the heat to complete the transaction. There was little petrol in the car and it was not very clean inside. The cubbyhole was completely broken. The car was old with scratches and rust, had lots of rattles inside and did not represent the state of the car in the booking. Nobody was at the airport to collect the car on the stipulated date and time and they informed as that we had to remind them a day before. We did scratch the car and would have spoken to someone at the airport if there was someone. Multiple people tried to contact the 2 contact numbers from the airport but it was unanswered. Rude correspondence afterwards from this company.

Kind people, willing to bring the Car to the Hotel!

Wir hatten für 4 Tage ein Auto gemietet. Aufgrund eines Sturmes kam das Auto einen Tag später. Jedoch gab es keinen Preisnschlass um 25%.
Auf Nachfragen wurde nicht reagiert.

Am Anliefertag kam das Auto 2 Stunden zu spät. Keine Entschuldigung oder Info über WhatsApp.

Das Fahrzeug war mit einer sehr schwachen Batterie ausgestattet. Das führte dazu, das die Kiste nicht mehr ansprang.

Die Kommunikation ist wirklich sehr schlecht.

Zu Hause zurück habe ich das Geld zurückgefordert. Selbst meine Kreditkartenfirma war nicht in der Lage trotz offensichtlicher Vertragsmängel das Geld zurückzubekommen.

Ich kann nur von diesem Anbieter abraten!

Dann habe ich noch eine schleimige Mail vom Inhaber der Firma bekommen.
Das ist das allerletzte.

Für ihn ist Kundenorientierung ein Fremdwort!
Er will nur unser Geld und das für schlechte Leistung umd Service.

Mietet Euch ein Taxi, lasst Euch durch die Insel fahren. Das ist viel entspannter und Ihr bekommt noch

There aren't any hidden taxes. Perfect comunication and welcoming. The car was just the same we choose. New and clean. Can't wait to meet again.

I ordered a car from Crystal without any experience of having dealt with them before - I was met at the airport and shown to the car only to discover that I had ordered the wrong car - no problem!! The guys there sorted out another car for me very quickly - the car was good and we were met at the airport at the end of the holiday … I would use these guys again - they are very professional !

Everything was ok. Delivery and back at thé hôtel .

We used crystal car rental after a Facebook recommendation and they were great. Really efficient and accommodating. They brought the car to the port and picked it up from the airport. Would use again if we went back. Thanks again.

Absolute Jokers! The car was in dangerous condition and could have killed us.

First, the car was dropped off 2 hours late—no apology, and they were extremely rude when we brought it up. When it did arrive, it was filthy: crumbs all over the back seat, toilet paper, and disposable vapes stuffed in the door pockets. I had to ask them to remove their trash before we could even get in.

Then, the audacity—they told us we’d need to have the car cleaned before returning it. We refused.

Now, the serious part: the car had two warning lights on, which we were told, and I quote, “is always the case with that model.” Great. But it gets worse. We had a flat tyre while out. Luckily, I was traveling with a CEO of a hydraulics company, so changing the spare was as easy as slipping on a fresh pair of panties.

That’s when we discovered the flat tyre was in terrible condition—the rubber was worn down to the threads (see picture). This car hadn’t been serviced in ages and could have blown out at any moment while we were on the motorway. That’s serious.

The cherry on top? When I contacted Crystal Car Rental to let them know about the condition of the tyre, they replied with: “Please note that a contract was signed between yourself and the rep once the check of the vehicle was completed. If you had any concerns, this should have been made on the day of the delivery and not the latter.”

Well, since the bald tyre was on the inside, I would’ve needed a hydraulic car lift just to spot it. Not exactly something I could’ve caught in a standard visual inspection. An apology would have been appropriate here.

In summary: Rent from Crystal Car Hire if you fancy rolling the dice with your life and enjoy customer service that’s about as helpful as the flat tyre was while out trying to enjoy our holiday in Mauritius.

Horrible experience!
We rented a car and received another one with few damages that were visible, however were reported in the check list. On the day of drop off, some of the painting was coming off ( pealing ) due to heavy rain. The painting was clearly newly made and was in the same area as the damages. When we arrived to the drop off, straight away the agent notice this, starting to scratch even more, taking pictures of the area and sending them to their boss, claiming we had to pay for it. We denied as we could clearly see that that was painting coming off. They claimed we scratch the car. I asked to speak to the manager, who was not pleasant and did not let us talk and explained the situation. He shouted over the phone. The next thing, they charged without permission 205 euros from my account, not even a quotation I received to verify how much the painting costs. Terrible. Never again, stay away!

This car rental company is not serious at all. We rented a car with the premium insurance to avoid surprises and they ended up charging us over 200euros apparently for a scratch we did to the car. To start with we first rented a car and they changed it right away to another car type. This car seemed to have had in the front a crash or something because it was missing a part and it looked repainted. When we returned the car since it was raining for several days, the painting was starting to come off and the staff of the company peeled it more saying that we did something to the car which is not true. They clearly know they rented a car which was repainted and had an issue already but they blamed us to pay for the repairement. That is not fair at all, taking advantage from tourists like this. I'm a travel agent and I will never recommend their service.

Please be careful with Crystal Car rental Mauritius!!

They will try to get whatever they can from you and they will not listen when you try to talk or explain them, especially their manager Aaron. He was very rude!!

What can I say about this company that always seeks the best for its customers? When I rented a car for the first time, the staff were very friendly, polite and welcoming. The company has a cozy atmosphere and perfect vehicles. There were no problems with the vehicles we rented. I'll be renting another car as soon as I return. I loved everything from the start to the return. Congratulations and keep it up.

Great car (Toyota Aqua/Prius-C) in great condition, the pick up and drop off was very convenient as they came to our hotel with the car, and we dropped it off at the airport on the way out. Drove all over Mauritius with the car and the mileage was great.

1st car delivered was dirty and the air con didn't work and the passengers door would not lock. Had to waste a day waiting for a replacement. 2nd car was a compact (we had paid for a mid sized) and it was even dirtier.
When they picked it up after two weeks the owner even argued with me that I hadn't had it cleaned. DO NOT USE THIS RENTAL COMPANY
