Service was excellent- re-arranged installation date to suit my holiday.
Engineer was on time very professional and helpful.

Engineer arrived as promised. When I contacted the office everyone was so helpful.

Contacted customer support on the 18th July and then on numerous occasions thereafter regarding a faulty Humax charger and was promised a callback by a guy called Richard Dunse. To this date I have not yet received a response.

Reached out to Crystal electronics for a Tesla EV charger and install.
Kerrith contacted me back with a call within an hour or so to get some more details.
Was provided a quote and different options to consider.
I stuck with the Tesla wall charger as this is the one I wanted the price for the charger and install was the best price I’ve had and the process for the purchase was seem less.
On install day the engineer came and took 1.5ht with only 5 mins of no electric.
Everything was done to the highest quality and the engineer cleaned up and provided instructions on use.
10/10 service by Kerrith and the engineer.
Would 10000% recommend.

Awful experience - they were given the installation by Ohme and I had no choice in the matter. The communication was poor and they had an excuse for moving installation date when actually it was because the installation kit hadn’t been ordered. They turned up on installation day only to be told 2 hours into the job they could not complete the installation as there was further work required that they weren’t qualified to carry out. Poor management, no proper assessment of the work needed to carry out the job before attending and then they didn’t even get the job finished. On top of that the workmanship is poor at best. I Wasn’t even told it would take 2-3 weeks to resolve, and I had to find that out myself. They should not be operating as an EV charging point installer in my view, and should not be working for Ohme who are also just as bad. Avoid!

Appalling service. This company accepted my job to install an EV wall charger, saying they had to wait for a DNO approval - which was granted instantly. After waiting 10 days and hearing nothing, I attempted to make contact multiple times with no success. As I had already accepted the installation quote I felt unable to look elsewhere. I’d have been happy even if I had the basic courtesy of a message saying ‘sorry we are unable to proceed with the job on this occasion’ but instead I’ve been left with no communication - told I’ll receive a call back shortly and have had to keep using expensive public chargers in this time. Absolutely no customer service shown at any point.

Callum arrived explained what he was going to do, did it, explained what he had done. Helped me get set up with my new charger. Perfect top rate service.

Install my new Ohme charger. He was polite, punctual, and friendly. He did an amazing job in quick time. Highly recommend.

Our Ohme charger decided to give up the ghost after an update and once Ohme had confirmed that a new charger was required, we were put in touch with Crystal Electronics, the company they used for installations/repairs.

The process was all pretty seamless, with regular updates to confirm the date of the installation and reminders nearer the time.

Steve, the engineer (not sure if that's the right nomenclature - apologies if not), was an absolute star. He arrived at the appropriate time and was extremely courteous and friendly. He was on site probably less than 20 minutes and that included setting the charger up on the app (very straightforward) and explaining what the likely cause of the failure was.

He was a fantastic ambassador for Crystal Electronics and whilst I'm not someone who normally writes online reviews, Steve certainly merits a mention in dispatches.

Sorry for being brutally honest.

This is from my own personal experience dealing with this company.

This company was assigned by my EV Home Charger provider company as the contractor to complete installation of my new home charger. I never had a choice to choose an installer. My PHEV was due to arrive in 2 week's time. Sadly I'm stuck with this company as someone erred in charging me a fee to install an 'Isolator Switch'. Instead of charging me, they put it as a discount on their software. Without seeing this, I accepted the offer and tried paying for the same and couldn't complete despite several attempts. Several customer service calls couldn't sort this out. I'm truly disappointed with this. Very unprofessional and customer service never exists. They don't even respond to the chats on their portal. Just because of an IT error, I'm paying for the delay!

Edit - got a call back from the company and let me know its an IT issue they're trying to sort. They acknowledged the IT issue and offered me a full waiver of charges for the installation of Isolation Switch on 17 Jul 2026. Sadly, due to the IT system's limitations, it is still unresolved.

IT systems are meant to help the customers & business. In this case (installer.com), the system stood as a hurdle/ a limitation. Right thing to do was to serve the customer need (arrange the installation). Instead, they are still figuring out how to resolve the IT issue! This is totally beyond my understanding!

This is like hospital staff trying to fix a chair instead of saving a dying patient!

Finally cancelled the order and arranged the installation for the next day with a different supplier (that too called them to enquire it at 4:30 PM)!. This is what customer service means!

Do not use Trust Pilot for reviews, they can be removed to boost scores. Use Google to see what this firm is really like.

Absolutely terrible company. I bought a charger through Cord EV who said this company would install. After reading their reviews I informed their advisor that i wasn't happy with the company choice as reviews suggest that they rarely turn up on Fridays. After being forced to use this company and use my annual leave to be home for them, they as predicted didn't bother showing up. Had to chase them all day myself to find out what was going on. Review pages are there for a reason and consumers should trust them.

Just an update on this, Crystal Electronics are now refusing to attend to my job as they got upset about the review I left them. Do your jobs and honour your appointments and you wouldn't get them would you!

Excellent service from start to finish.
I enquired purchasing EV charger to be installed at home following a recent EV purchase & wasn’t sure which would be the best & fastest installation option & Benjo & his team was very efficient giving me initial quotation & was happy to go ahead straight away even changing my mind & swapping to a different charger at the last minute was a very smooth interaction & all in good time. Olivia was communicating with me in every step of the way & was very flexible in terms of getting the equipment all delivered & ready for installation at the agreed date. James who installed our EV charger was on time, professional, friendly & efficient throughout the job, & cleaned up pretty well afterwards, he also made sure that equipment was all ready & set up to go. So thank you to all that was involved getting the installation right, no stress whatsoever highly recommend.

Lee was an absolute legend, genuinely cared and talked me through a ridiculously complex set up (my installer hadn't properly configured my EV charger so it was tricky). He emailed me, called me back if we got cut off (my fault) and got the bottom of the myriad of issues. I wish everyone went the extra mile in this way!!

UPDATE in response to your answer here. I was disappointed with Crystal Electronics, not just the decision of OZEV. I was turned down because I supplied Crystal as the organisation, on the OZEV form. I asked if they had contacted you. You did not convey any of this to me, when I asked you. I emailed you for this information. You could have conveyed the information you have here, to me, when I emailed last week, to assist me in my appeal. You failed to provide any response. You could have simply replied to my email with the information you supplied publicly. You didn't. You ignored me, as a potential customer. And one who acted with best intentions. Hence my negative review here.

Asked for a quote to install a Simpson and partners EV charger. Applied for a renters grant. Was rejected on the basis of the organisation information being incorrect. I was given the information by OZEV to complete the organisation. I did as they asked. They told me to appeal via email. I did that. I was then told I needed to use a form for appeal. I then emailed the installer to see if anything had been conveyed to them, because I needed information about this. No response. Lesson learned. I'll go elsewhere. Renters seem to be second class citizens. I'm entitled to the grant.

I’m extremely disappointed with the standard of workmanship and housekeeping following an engineer visit for a warranty replacement of my EV charger.

While the charger replacement itself may have been completed, the condition my property was left in afterwards was unacceptable. There was dust, dirt and footprints throughout the area under my stairs and surrounding flooring, with no apparent attempt made to clean up after the work.

As a tradesperson myself, I understand jobs can create mess — but there is an expectation that your workspace is left clean and respectful of the customer’s home. The state my property was left in fell well below what I would consider acceptable professional standards.

I have raised this directly with the company and provided photographs. I hope this is addressed promptly and steps are taken to ensure future customers do not experience the same issue.

Connor carried out the install, was on time and explained the install process in detail offering solutions for the best position of the charging unit.His work was clean and tidy and took the time to run through the ins and outs of the app and how to operate the charging unit. Very happy, thank you.
