Good but not ideal
I liked that my latest transfer completed sooner than I expected.
I disliked that the CF- preferred safe method of paying into CF offered with (participating?) Bank logos for my selection, yet when I selected HSBC the next window defaulted to HSBC INVESTDIRECT pre-populated with my account details there which I couldn't backspace to overwrite with my HSBC PREMIER ACCOUNT details - the account I intended to use to pay into CF. Therefore I couldn't take advantage of the safest method. I had to set up the payment into CF from HSBC at my end. This might be an HSBC issue, not a CF issue. If so, please excuse my comments.

Excellent service and fx rate
Excellent service, easy to use, transparent and always a better fx rate than bank to bank. Every time I tell my friends about this they seem skeptical, that is until they start to use it. You can see exactly how much it will cost before processing - there are no surprises - so you can decide if you want to use CF or not for that transaction.

Blocked Transfer due to Sending Bank Misclassification – Resolution Progressing
I attempted a legitimate transfer to my CurrencyFair account which was blocked by HSBC Australia due to a “crypto-related” classification. Based on my understanding, this is incorrect, as CurrencyFair is not a cryptocurrency platform.
Since leaving my initial review, CurrencyFair’s Customer Services Manager has reached out to follow up, which I appreciate. The app itself is very good — easy to use, efficient, and with competitive rates.
This appears to be an issue with the sending bank rather than CurrencyFair, but clearer guidance in escalting these type of situations would be helpful.

To clarify, CurrencyFair is not a cryptocurrency platform, and we take it seriously when our service is mischaracterised by external banks. We clearly missed the mark in providing the guidance you expected, and we are currently reviewing our internal protocols to better assist users facing similar hurdles.
