Blocked Transfer due to Sending Bank Misclassification – Resolution Progressing
I attempted a legitimate transfer to my CurrencyFair account which was blocked by HSBC Australia due to a “crypto-related” classification. Based on my understanding, this is incorrect, as CurrencyFair is not a cryptocurrency platform.
Since leaving my initial review, CurrencyFair’s Customer Services Manager has reached out to follow up, which I appreciate. The app itself is very good — easy to use, efficient, and with competitive rates.
This appears to be an issue with the sending bank rather than CurrencyFair, but clearer guidance in escalting these type of situations would be helpful.

Best money exchange service
I used CF for years to get a better rate than in my bank and I had 0 issues whatsoever. Lately the speed of transfer has been super fast. Basically got my money next day back to my bank. I recommend CurrencyFair as the best service to get a better FX rate. Thank you!

Consisted & accuracy in transactions
I have used Currency Fair since the late 1990s. There’s never been any problem with exchanging and transferring my monies. Their representatives always do their very best to assist with questions and how to use the Currency Fair program. They are transfer fees are extremely erasable.
