​Severe Asymmetry, Daily Pain, Neglectful In-Hospital Care, and No Accountability
​I am sharing my experience across two trips with Destination Beauty (Aug 2025 & Jan 2026). What was meant to be a cosmetic transformation left me visibly disfigured, in daily pain, and facing unexpected costs.
​Trip 1 (Aug 2025): Tummy Tuck, Lipo, Mons Lift, Arm Lift
My arm lift left a major crease in one arm and saggy pockets of skin hanging off both elbows. My stomach was left uneven.
​Trip 2 (Jan 2026): Back/Side Lift, Mid-Face, Neck & Chin Lift
​In-Hospital Neglect: Post-surgery care was unacceptable. Nurses treated my husband—who was there as emotional support—as staff. In extreme pain, I asked for help and a nurse pointed at my husband and asked, "Can't he help?" 3 days post-facelift, in excruciating pain, I asked for stronger medication. I was told my husband had to go downstairs, pay for it at the chemist, and bring it back up. I had to contact my booking agent and demand a head nurse before any relief (a muscle relaxant) was provided. It was deeply traumatizing.
​Untouched Stomach & Disfigurement: The surgeon acknowledged "too much skin" and offered a revision. I asked him to fix it during my back/side lift. He left my stomach completely untouched. I now have severe torso asymmetry—one side is completely flat like a surfboard the other retains shape, visible through clothing.
​Ignored Concerns & Extra Costs: Surgeries were split across days. I was pressured into an unplanned chin lift, costing an extra $3,300. This was despite extensive photos and surhocal review with procedure recomendations based on this. When I got there i was advised i wouldn't get the results I wanted, without a chin lift.
Issues behind my arm circled in pre-op photos were ignored.
​Facial Asymmetry, Deeper Folds & Daily Pain: My ears were pulled down so tightly into "pixie ears" that I live in daily physical pain. The right side of my face was pulled far less than the left, and nasolabial folds are worse than before.
​Post-Op Failure
After waiting the full 6 months for a formal review, DB ignored the torso disfigurement, facial asymmetry, daily ear pain, and saggy elbows. They only offered a "pixie ear" fix—though I have to pay a $665 fee plus my own travel/accommodation to fix their mistake.
​DB failed on surgical plans, delivered neglectful care, and refuses genuine accountability. Exercise extreme caution.
Before DB reply, I have literally hundreds of emails with regular/updated photos of my progression. I have relied on their skill and knowledge and been left disfigured. I have now escalated this to external organisations and expect a (reasonable) refund or revision (total cost to be covered by DB).

Edit - thanks for your comment DB. The issue is, it is not actually being dealt with at all. I was asked to wait for 6 months after surgery (I totally understand why). The manager requested photos, updates, etc. I then waited for several weeks for an outcome. The only part that was commented on was my very painful ears and I was told I had to pay a self help fee to have that done. DB has admitted fault and then asked me to pay!! It is unconscionable. No other problem areas were commented on.

Edit ** offer made to correct ears that were admitted as fault of DB. I have to pay for flights and they have also offered a slightly higher discount on accommodation. The rest of the issues I have been advised can only be reviewed in person. Which already occurred in January. I have declined and no further communication received.

I cannot recommend Dr. Weerachai and Destination Beauty highly enough.

Every part of my journey was absolutely incredible from beginning to end.
From the moment I arrived, everything was so well organised. The transfer service was seamless, making every appointment and trip completely stress-free. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were comfortable and immaculate, the staff were always kind, welcoming, and attentive, and the doormen greeted me with genuine warmth every single day. It truly felt like I was being cared for by people who wanted my experience to be exceptional.

I underwent a tummy tuck, arm lift & mons lift in June 2025, I was so impressed and felt complete comfort in my decision with choosing Dr Weerachai that I knew I would choose him for further surgeries which was a breast lift, and an upper back (bra line) lift, only as recent as 10/07/2026 so I am still healing and I could not be happier with my results. Dr. Weerachai is an exceptionally talented surgeon whose skill, precision, and attention to detail are second to none.

What has impressed me most is how beautifully my incision lines have healed from both Surgeries. They are incredibly neat and far finer than I ever expected. It's obvious that Dr. Weerachai takes immense pride in his work and strives for the very best outcome for every patient.

One result I am especially grateful for is that I have retained full sensation in both of my nipples after my breast lift. I know this is something many women are concerned about, so I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such an amazing outcome.

The results are natural, beautifully proportioned, and completely life-changing. I feel more confident than I have in years, and every procedure has exceeded my expectations.

The process from start to finish was excellent from the initial contact enquiring about a Brachioplasty procedure which was explained in detail also the cost and follow up phone calls made my decision very easy , being picked up at the airport then going to the hotel with the friendliness of the staff relieved a lot of anxiety ,the hospital was immaculately clean and efficiency of the staff was excellent as a retired nurse I was very impressed by the whole process and procedures before and after the surgery also the follow up made the whole experience less stressful, I would highly recommend Destination Beauty to anyone who is looking for cosmetic procedures, Dr K was wonderful along with the nurses having a clinic at the hotel only enhanced the whole process thank you to all concerned .

From the minute I landed, the Destination Beauty team were absolutely amazing!
When I arrived at the Hotel, the staff again, went above and beyond helping with absolutely everything.

My surgeon was Dr Weerachai. I had an ETT, BL and BA. I had lost a significant amount of weight, and had quite loose skin on my lower stomach. I had been planning this surgery for about 18months. My biggest fear was replacing something I hated (my loose skin) with something I hated even more (a horrific scar). Dr Weerachai specialises in his stitch work and I could not be more happy with my lines. His attention to detail, his constant checking in. I seen Dr Weerachai every single day I was in the hospital. I felt very cared for and not just another number. He listened to what I was hoping to achieve and went above my expectations.

The nursing staff at the hospital were brilliant as well! I travelled over solo and was slightly worried how I would go without a support person. However, with the nurses, there really isn't a need for a support person as they are right there helping you with everything.

I would 100% recommend Destination Beauty and Dr Weerachai to anybody that's looking at contouring their body. The professionalism and attention to detail are unmatched.

The Start: How did you feel before the procedure, and what made you finally take the leap?
I did alot of research around how I would handle the procedure I wanted, as I have Rosacea, Hypothyroidism and HBP. Following several tests in NZ, I felt ready to take the step for myself.

The Journey: Were you nervous about traveling, and how did we help you feel safe and comfortable?
I was not nervous, just excited. The liaison person assured me that travelling alone would be fine, as they held get-togethers for those of us who were there to have procedures done.

The Arrival: What were your first impressions of the airport pickup, hotel, or clinic?
I felt looked after from the get-go. The ladies at the airport were bubbly, friendly and efficient. The hotel staff were kind and efficient. They new my name. It was so nice to be able to rest and recuperate for the length of time recommended - I was there for two weeks. By the time I got home to NZ, much healing had already occurred, and swelling had subsided.

The Care: How did your surgeon and nursing team look after you?
Dr Jatuporn was friendly and confident, and advised me of what would work best for me. The nurses were lovely and knowledgeable about my conditions. I found this impressive, expecially as I had not encountered this kind of awareness in NZ. The services provided by the hospital teams are exemplary, with state of the art technology and knowledgeable practitioners.

The Result: How do you feel today, and what advice would you give to someone sitting on the fence?
I am so happy to have had the experience. I would recommend to anyone thinking about it, to get all their ducks in a row and just do it.

I am doing well it’s been 4 weeks post op I still have swelling around my eyes which my doctor says is normal. My experience with destination beauty was amazing the staff , doctors, nursing staff were absolutely caring and amazing with all their care .

Very friendly, well organised and rigorous in their approach. I have used them three times over five years and their service and care has not faltered.

My Experience with My Recent Revision Facelift

Disclaimer: This review reflects my personal experience only. Other patients may have different experiences and outcomes.

I underwent a revision deep-plane facelift on 16 July 2026 with the hope of improving facial laxity, particularly the prominence of my nasolabial folds which I specifically discussed with my surgeon before the procedure.

Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. While I understand that healing takes time and that final results can take many months to develop, I am concerned that the early outcome has not addressed the primary issue that led me to undergo surgery.

My concerns include:

* The left nasolabial fold remains significantly more prominent than I expected.
* I have noticeable facial asymmetry that concerns me.
* The overall facial contour has not met the expectations created during my consultations.
* I feel the aesthetic improvement so far is substantially less than I anticipated given the extent of the surgery.

I appreciate that swelling and scar tissue can influence the appearance during the early stages of recovery, and I remain hopeful that some improvement may occur as healing continues. However, based on my current appearance and recovery, I am deeply dissatisfied with the results to date.

I also believe it is important for prospective patients to have realistic expectations regarding recovery, the possibility of prolonged swelling, and the fact that not every result will meet a patient’s expectations.

This review reflects my personal opinion and experience. Others may have different outcomes, and I encourage anyone considering surgery to ask detailed questions, understand the expected timeline for healing, and discuss what specific improvements are realistically achievable before proceeding.

My experience with Destination Beauty was amazing. From arriving at the airport, getting welcomed at the hotel, from DB reception all the way to the nurses, pre and post surgery care was absolutely wonderful. The company is very well organised and everything happens without stress. From being sent reminders for appointments and user friendly online nurse appointment bookings system to messenger chats for any advice and help. I felt very safe and looked after. The only problem I had was getting on the same page as the surgeon but after it all I am very happy with my results and glad that I followed my gut and really told them what I wanted. I would highly recommend anyone to use Destination Beauty.

The moment I got of that plane at Thailand 🇹🇭 I was taken care off.
From transfer to and from hospital, airport and hotel.
The hospital was so clean and I loved the hospital food it was always fresh and hot.
The care I received from the nurses was truly amazing nothing I have experienced before in Australia. I was never in pain or uncomfortable not once.
The surgeon Dr. Eddy was truly amazing and so caring . I felt so safe .

Destination Beauty were phenomenal. From the original communication with a rep, through to the consult with my surgeon, the aftercare and the hotel stay. My rep, Neen, was extremely attentive and accommodating to my million questions and changes. Upon arrival at the DB clinic at the hospital all of the staff were welcoming and kind. In particular, Brey who was extremely caring and kept me smiling through my nervousness. Dr Weerachai was my surgeon and he was very easy to talk to and answered any and all questions I had. He visited many times during the hospital stay and again at the clinic after stitches were removed. I cannot fault my experience at all and am extremely happy with my results.

Destination Beauty is a well oiled machine, everything is thought of and taken care of. You can even add a surgery or take one away at your appointment with the Doctor. the level of English speaking was good, the hospital was great, the transfers were excellent except there was a hiccup with our final airport transfer, but these things can happen. I expected the hotel to be a bit nicer, but it was clean, well serviced, breakfast was good, bed was good etc. My husband and I got a room with two beds because you don't want to be disturbed in the bed after having major surgery so I would recommend that. I will use Destination Beauty again for my facelift in a few years time. Very happy with my results after 4 weeks.

I am super happy with my whole experience with Destination Beauty! From the initial consult with Yada, communication was quick, clear and informative. Dr Angkhana was super kind and knowledgeable. All the nurses were supportive, patient and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel staff were very kind. I had a really positive experience with Destination beauty. June 6th 2026 to July 7th 2026.

I prebooked well over a year in advance, I had had a massive weightloss of over 77kg.

I was stable in my weight for over 6 months prior to surgery.

I chose Destination Beauty because they had the best options available for me, a longer stay in hospital and recovery hotel.

I was paired with my Rep Dayana who was amazing when it came to communication and was a wealth of knowledge. Most of all experienced and kind.

I was matched with Dr Jatuporn who is a board certified reconstructive plastic surgeon who specialises in body reconstruction after massive weight loss as well as other specialties.
He is also PICO dressing trained.
He has an amazing bedside manner, easy to speak with, clear and really knew his stuff, especially when it came to what would be best for my body and my needs.

Transfers from the Airport to the hotel, to the hospital, then hospital as needed then back to the airport was stress free and seamless.

Nipple relocation for one nipple and a nipple graft on the other due to my nipple not taking to the relocation.

I had my surgeries at the new hospital RJRH
The staff were very lovely although there was a language barrier at times, we were able to understand each other using in gestures and chat GPT.
The food was also very good at the hosptial.
Pain control was managed very well.

Dr Jatuporn was very attentive and when my nipple relocation was not taking the team and the Dr was very quick to act to save it.

The Nursing team were fantastic, for physical and emotional support.

I chose to travel with my husband and 8 year old daughter, so I booked a two bedroom apartment at the recovery hotel. While I was in hospital they stayed at the hotel and were transferred daily to visit me.

The hotel was clean and spacious, staff were more than helpful. Shout out to the Doorman Jet who formed a lovely bond with our family. He is a true asset to Somerset park.

The high tea were lovely events and a good way to meet others.

As I had an issue with one of my nipples healing I took advantage of the nurse visits to the hotel, it was Identified at my first visit more assistance was required so they had organised for daily transfers to the hospital for wound dressing and closer monitoring.

I have been home now 10 days and have been in communication daily with the service team who are helping me with the aftercare.

I can’t fault them. They have gone above and beyond to keep me healthy happy and emotionally stable.

I will be back, to get the excess skin on my legs addressed next.

My experience with Destination Beauty was next level efficiant with utmost care and so well organised for start to finish . From being picked up and trans ported to Hotel from airport , to all appointments being made and organised for me , transport to and from hospital , hotel was wonderful with the best breakfasts included , kind and freindly . Hospital with private room was resort style , nurses and doctors could not have given better care and efficiency giving all the nessesary tests to be sure I was safe for surgery , every thing was included in quote , no extra charges for hospital stay , I felt safe for my whole stay it was so easy I would reccomend Destination Beauty to anyone searching for thi kind of surgery .
