My experience with Destination Beauty for my gastric sleeve surgery exceeded all of my expectations. As someone travelling overseas alone, I was naturally a little nervous, but from the moment I arrived, I felt supported, safe, and well looked after. The team was easy to locate at the airport, and all transfers were organised seamlessly, making the entire journey stress-free. The hotel was comfortable and conveniently located, with the Destination Beauty office situated right next door, which made it easy to access support and assistance whenever I needed it.

A special mention must go to Chanhom, who was my main point of contact throughout the process. She was truly exceptional and played a huge role in making my experience so positive. Chanhom went above and beyond every day to ensure I was comfortable, informed, and settled. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her kindness, warmth, and genuine care helped ease any anxieties I had about travelling and undergoing surgery on my own. She checked in regularly, answered all of my questions promptly, and made me feel valued and supported throughout my journey.

The hospital experience was equally impressive. From admission through to discharge, the staff were professional, compassionate, and attentive. I always felt that my wellbeing was their priority. Despite being in a foreign country, I never felt alone or unsupported. The nursing and medical teams were excellent, and there were many thoughtful touches and little extras that made my stay more comfortable and enjoyable than I had anticipated.

The entire process was well organised, transparent, and efficient. Every step was clearly explained, and I felt fully informed about what to expect before, during, and after surgery. This level of communication and support gave me confidence and peace of mind throughout the experience.

Looking back, choosing Destination Beauty was one of the best decisions I could have made. The quality of care, organisation, accommodation, hospital experience, and ongoing support were all exceptional. I am incredibly grateful to Chanhom and the entire Destination Beauty team for making what could have been a daunting experience feel easy, comfortable, and positive. From airport pick-up to drop-off on the way home, the team were responsive, caring and reassuring every step of the way. Like most people, I was wary about having surgery overseas, especially as I chose to travel alone without a support person. In hindsight, I can honestly say I had one of the best “holidays” I’ve ever had.

I won’t downplay the pain of the first few days of surgery recovery, but what I will remember most are the friendships I made with other patients and the relaxing stay at the hotel after leaving hospital. The hotel staff were amazing, and the DB team stayed in constant contact to check on my wellbeing.

Having the clinic onsite at the hotel three days a week was incredibly reassuring, and the afternoon teas on alternate days were a lovely way to bring patients together.

I felt cared for, supported and never alone. I’m so glad I chose Destination Beauty.

The Somerset Park Hotel in Bangkok (where all their patients stay), pre and post-surgery is perfectly located to health spas, great cafes and high quality restaurants etc., are all within short walking distances.

Destination Beauty offer free bus shuttle service 24/7 to and from the airport and for all hospital visits for pre and post-operation procedures and reviews.

Once in hospital, the nursing staff are professional, diligent and ensure that your pain management is well-looked after.

The only issue that stopped me from giving them 5 stars is the poor English of the hospital Thai nursing staff! They often imply that they understand what you want and your needs (because they’re so polite), but the language barrier, I believe, is a real issue and caused many other patients a negative experience. The most worrisome part of both my surgeries came from being in the ICU, post-op. No 1:1 patient care, inadequate staff ratio and the nurses struggled with even the most basic English translations!

This is my second cosmetic surgery in 18 months and I would still highly recommend using Destination Beauty for the overall experience, professionalism, skill of my surgeon and value for money!

I underwent a breast lift and augmentation along with an extended tummy tuck, and I am already thrilled with my results. The care I received from start to finish has been outstanding.

The inclusive package covered a gorgeous, spacious apartment at the Somerset Hotel, all transport, a massive 16-night hospital stay, and all post-op care. The entire experience felt like being looked after by an extended family. From Donut holding my hand during my pre-op ECG, to Nurse Mama Noi giving me a completely painless IV, to the amazing Ward 10 nurses who showered me and changed my linens daily, the care was absolutely unmatched.

Dr. Ring is a master at what he does. He spent a full hour with me before surgery mapping out my wish list across three separate procedures, explaining every detail. He and the medical team monitored my healing daily, both in the hospital and during my 18-night hotel recovery. A year later, my incision lines are so thin they have completely vanished. I cannot recommend Dr. Ring and Destination Beauty enough to anyone looking for a safe, affordable, and world-class body transformation.

Second time going through Destination Beauty in Thailand and once again I couldn’t be happier with my experience. My first surgery was a tummy tuck, and this time I went back for a lift and implants — and honestly, the whole experience has been incredible both times.

From my first correspondence with Shay my entire experience with Destination Beauty has been flawless. No question went unanswered. I was offered a place with a female surgeon which was my preference, especially after I saw the before and after photos of Dr Angkana’s patients.

I’m so happy with my results. Dr Angkana was very upfront about what my results would look like given my weight loss and understood that I still wanted to keep the softness of my curves while addressing the laxity of my tummy & breasts. Overall i felt comforted that she understood my expectations to feel like a mum in my 40s again, instead of feeling like my body had aged before its time.

The nursing team at Samitivej Thonburi level 11 were so loving, respectful and encouraging - nothing was too much to ask. I had such a great experience, we had lots of laughs during the easy times and comfort during the harder times when I missed my family

The DB admin team always checked in, even when i just went down to the office just to go visit other patients or keep them company during routine check ins

Overall DB went the extra mile at every step- visiting in hospital, at afternoon tea, checking in by phone or organising nurse visits. Brey and Vinny were always on hand with kind words & encouragement. It was even a great surprise to meet Shay at afternoon tea! Truly personalised service from start to finish.

The Somerset Hotel was also great. Beautiful grounds, close to everything you need post-op and just the sweetest staff. Thanks Kailin for taking care of me!

I have nothing but positive things to say about my time with DB, my surgery, results or my time in the beautiful kingdom of Thailand.

Dr Eddy, was amazing. He made me feel comfortable and confident from the start, and I’m so happy with my results. The hospital staff and nurses were kind and caring throughout my recovery.

Negatives - After my operation I was placed in ICU and when I woke up I experienced a panic attack and genuinely felt like I couldn’t breathe. It was a very frightening experience and unfortunately I didn’t feel well supported by the ICU nurses at that time. One nurse in particular was quite rude and accused me of abusing the staff, which was upsetting because I was simply panicking and asking for something to help calm me down.

Now that I’m back home recovering, I’ve sent Jessie an email with photos and a few questions asking if the doctor can check how the healing is progressing, but I haven’t received a reply yet. I understand the team may be busy, though some follow-up communication and reassurance post-op would really help during recovery.

This was a great way to get the surgery I wanted for less than half the price I was quoted in Australia. The process was really good and my representative Vita was very helpful. The food at the hospital was not great so try and bring food (soft if you’re having fave surgery) there’s a fridge in your room. There’s a great cafe with lots of nice food and smoothies downstairs if you can get there and order instead. I do wish the hospital nurses spoke better English, sometimes made it very hard. The destination beauty girls were all amazing and the hotel was really good too! My doctor, Dr Ring was excellent and my stitching perfect. Nurse Aom is an Angel.

I’ve been a "big girl" my whole life, struggling with yo-yo dieting since I was 15. After losing 20kg through hard work at the gym, I knew I needed professional help to reach my final goal.

This was my second time using Destination Beauty (I had a breast reduction in 2024), and once again, they exceeded every expectation.

I underwent a Full 360 Tummy Tuck and Liposuction with Dr. Weerachai. He was incredibly thorough, even identifying and fixing two hernias I didn’t know I had!

My recovery has been smooth, largely because I followed the team's advice to stay active before surgery.

A special shout-out to Noon, my support person, who was there for me every step of the way, and the amazing hotel staff who felt like family.

I’ve lost 30kg in total now (10kg since the surgery) and at 9 weeks post-op, my stomach is getting flatter every day.

If you’re in New Zealand or anywhere else, don't hesitate. The care here is top-notch and much more affordable than back home!

From the moment I arrived, the care and attention to detail has honestly blown me away. The team have been incredibly patient, professional, and focused on making sure I’m comfortable every step of the way.
I’ve had a full set of porcelain veneers, laser treatments, and an implant procedure completed, and the level of technology, cleanliness, communication, and aftercare has been amazing. It’s not just about the cosmetic side either, it’s the confidence you gain back.

The team at db is marvellous. Dr Ring and Nurse Aom are the best. The consultant team were very professional. I could not fault any of the service and I continue to refer people to db Thailand rather than turkey.
Why did I not rate 5 stars is due to financial issues. I was advised liposuction $5800 and charged visa $7300. I only had $6000 and this put my visa into arrears. Even if the quote was in Aus $, it would not come to $7300 nz. I had already paid for the other surgery so this was an add on

I have had several procedures done at Destination Beauty. I am happy with the process from initial queries to the after care and most importantly, the final results. I would highly recommend Destination Beauty for cosmetic surgery.
