Astrox 99 Play / Great service
Very fast delivery and well packaged. I ordered an Astrox 99 Play from Direct Badminton and received the latest version (black and green). The price was competitive.
The racket is head heavy with quite a flexible shaft so is great for generating enough power to clear shuttles to the back of the court even though my technique is not perfect.

Pathetic customer service
Made an order and paid extra for 2 day DPD delivery as needed the item for a tournament. Direct badminton didn't even dispatch the item in the time frame. Contacted their customer services but the lady who answered the call was not helpful at all. She siad that even if you pay extra for a speedy delivery, it is not guaranteed. I asked why it asks customers to pay extra then and giving a delivery slot on the website. She said even if you pay extra money,they will despatch when they can. It is a rip off. Poor customer service. Disappointed.

Scam of a company
Scam of a company. For context, I refer to the Yonex 800 Pro that I purchased. When the parcel arrived, it was severely damaged (large hole through the box). I have clear CCTV footage (and backed up by my concierge) that the box arrived damaged.
When I opened up the box to inspect the racket, there were stains on the plastic handle. Another cheap point - there's no bag / protector over the racket. Possibly grease from the factory floor or from the delivery truck or somewhere else - who knows. It did actually stained parts of my sofa and I removed the plastic handle wrap. I immediately returned the item (and actually used one of my own Yonex bag - which DS actually kept).
DS returned the item on a flimsy excuse that the plastic handle was removed (what a joke). They didn't even bother to call me. For context, I purchased another Yonex (Astrox) and kept that as the package was fine when it arrived.
Ironically - when the Nanoflare 800 Pro came back - the box was (once again) damaged. Almost in the same spot. I have kept the box as is this time around. I plan to bring DS to small claims court. It is unconscionable and unethical that this company chooses to operate in such predatory manner.

Without the plastic wrap on the handle, we would not be able to send an item to another customer with confidence that it had not been used. This is clearly stated in our T&Cs and is inline with other online retailers.
It is unfortunate that you believe that your parcel arrived in a damaged condition, however as you had not informed us of this prior to returning the item, we were unable to support you with this claim. When the item returned to us, there was no evidence of any damage or grease. It was also taken into consideration that we have received items from you in the past which you had admitted to using before returning.
Whilst acting in line with our T&Cs, we have done our best to maintain a good level of customer service even when you recorded a phone call with one of our members of staff without their consent.
