I could never imagine that a cruise could be that adventurous and comfortable at the same time. The crew took us kayaking/hiking to amazing spots, so we were never bored. Spending time on the boat was a wonderful experience itself: the cabins were not too small, the shower was surprisingly nice and most important, the food was DELICIOUS! Thank you, Discovery Voyage for the unforgettable trip!

Our trip on the Discovery for 5 days with our family & close friends was AMAZING! Dean, Meg & the crew take care of you start to finish. We were taken to amazing vistas & lead on hikes or in kayaks to bring those sights up close & personal. The food prepared was the best; meals and the cocktail hour allowed for time to visit & relive the adventures. At any minute we may slow down to check out otters, birds, seals,humpback whales - did I say “it was amazing”! The Discovery is the only way to see Prince William Sound - casual luxury. We loved it.

Overall, an amazing experience! Food was unforgettable and tasty. Scenery was unmatched. Rooms were small but you spend much more time upstairs enjoying the incredible views.

The staff of Discovery Voyages treats your specific trip as the most special and wonderful in the world. The 4 people on the staff act in well oiled unison to support the best experience for every passenger. The Captain Dean Rand takes you to see everything including glaciers, wildlife, flowers and waterfalls. The Captain customizes each trip according to current weather conditions and time of year. All of the staff are knowledgeable about the history and beauty to be found on Prince William Sound. All meals are prepared with LOVE and are wholesome and delicious.

A great experience with a customer service focused company!

We selected Discovery Voyages (Dean, Meg, Tori, and Jocelyn) for a once in a lifetime adventure in Alaska. We selected them primarily based on previous reviews of their approach to the Prince William Sound sights, wildlife, sealife, and conservation. We could not be happier with the outcome.

The entire crew was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and focused on delivering the best experience possible for each of the passengers. Using their extensive knowledge of the Sound, weather, and natural wildlife, avian, and sea life migrations, the captain and his crew put us in the best positions possible to get a close-up view of all that Alaska has to offer. From Glaciers, Waterfalls, stunning Mountain and Sound views; to Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Seals, and Dall's Porpoises; to Bears; and to Eagles, Puffins, and all of the Fauna and Flora of the Sound Coastline, as well as the countless other experiences along the way, we had a front row seat to it all.

As we travelled and while we stopped, the crew shared their knowledge of the area, and its history, willingly and their love for what they do came through with each story related.

The food was prepared fresh daily and provided a variety of tastes from the Sound at each meal. It was excellent.

We would absolutely recommend Discovery Voyages for a first-class experience, delivered by people who care deeply about what they do and the guests they have on board.

My experience with Discovery Voyages was blissful and joyous, peaceful and profound, extraordinary and down-to-Earth in the most unique way. One morning I woke to a raging waterfall and a cavorting black bear. Another morning, I woke in a quiet evergreen cove, a receding, dripping glacier not far in the distance. Dean is an amazing man. He could be a friend. Megan is multi-talented and generous and kind. Julia and Jocelyn were terrific. We ate so well, always felt safe and cared-for, and wanted for nothing. I have no idea what other Alaskan boats are like, but I'd come back to the Discovery in a heartbeat.

Fabulous trip! A family vacation bucket list. Dean and Megan were the perfect hosts. Beautiful hikes and kayak excursions. Great food and service.

We were on the same boat and trip 31 yr ago!! It has only gotten better. Dean is a great captain and makes sure everyone gets to see everything! Glaciers calving, bears, puffins, waterfalls, jellyfish & salmon all included!
Megan is best chef ever!! Every meal is a masterpiece, a true gourmet experience!

The captain is able to get this small ship in areas larger ones can't get to. Gorgeous scenery, great hikes and kayaking and wonderful meals!
