Peace of mind

Struggled for years to understand my mind and how I perceived things, thought I was mad or so but wanted to clarify things, this crowd provided professional ways to help me, very understanding and very open minded, now I have my answers it feels like a weight has been lifted and I can finally move on with life understanding life in a better way now with they're help, highly recommend to anyone, it has gave me peace of mind and I am truly thankful for everything they have provided for me.

Supportive, friendly and helpful.

The clinic (and everyone that is part of it) has been so welcoming and friendly. The whole process has been explained clearly to me at every stage and I have never felt that I was unsure about any aspect of the assessment. Whenever I needed to reschedule an appointment the staff had no delay in helping me and got it sorted in perfect time. Lauren in particular was very helpful, dedicated and kind in handling this for me. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking to find out more about themselves and get the explanations they are looking for :)

Brianna was great at setting up the appointment with a doctor. I called on Thursday afternoon and by the next morning had received communication on the appointment.
She communicated with me throughout.

A compassionate and caring practice.

From the first phone call, Diverse Diagnostics have been great to work with. They are flexible, compassionate and helpful. There seems to be an implicit understanding that if a child presents with ADHD, ASD, etc., there may be a relational aspect and the parent might need a bit of support on the journey. The doctors have been genial and relaxed with our family and I recommend them without hesitation.

Grateful

Lauren and Robyn on the phone were fantastic to deal with, knowledgeable, compassionate and kind. They were able to answer all my questions clearly and I got a next day assessment.

I made a huge mistake around timings of the appointment (I got it wrong) and they were able to sort it out for me, although I knew they didn’t have to do this for me.

Thank you to Dr Smith also for doing everything in his power to make sure I got my assessment, I’m very grateful to everybody in the team, in a world full of red tape and admin they really did show great kindness to me.

Pre-Appoinment Screening and Updates

I called enquiring about an Adult ADHD assessment, as NHS waiting lists in my area are over 8 years long! My initial call was with Toni, she made me feel at ease and validated in my decision to seek an appointment. I then had a question which I emailed and was promptly replied to by Cara which was helpful and informative! I have an assessment booked for the end of the month so can update further after that 😊

I thought I was safe but I wasn’t.

This review is a statement of fact regarding my experience with this company and how it has affected my life.

I was very much looking forward to finally speaking to people who say they understand ADHD. From other reviews, I thought “this is the place where I can unmask and be seen, heard and understood”. I had been building up to the assessment and felt positive and hopeful. I was told by their staff that the assessment is “life changing”. Unfortunately I’ve been left traumatised and feeling hopeless after facing disgusting and shocking treatment as a vulnerable individual. I feel this is life changing in a negative way, as getting the assessment is a once in a lifetime thing that should be handled with care. It’s been ruined now.

It’s 5th February 2026 as I write this, I was meant to have an assessment date of 9th January 2026. I made the booking with them on 28th November 2025 because I needed the assessment report for a PIP claim (tribunal stage) that’s been ongoing for 2 years. There is around £15k back pay at stake plus daily living payments which I really need. This is the only reason I booked my assessment as I have an irregular heartbeat so can’t take the ADHD meds anyway. They had multiple written and verbal reinforcements of my circumstances and deadlines which they failed to record.

Negligence: My 9th January appointment was cancelled as their doctor was sick apparently. They also tried to re-schedule me several times with a male doctor at 9am despite being told I needed a female and afternoon appointment. Finally after months I got an assessment scheduled for 7th February 2026. I advised I would pay the remaining £1150 on my payday. They wrote back saying I had to pay by 9am on my payday despite being told I don’t function until the afternoons. I didn’t even see the email.

On the day I said I would pay, I paid in the evening due to having a migraine that day, only to receive an email the next morning to say they cancelled my appointment “as per previous communications”. I found this very blunt and shocking. I called them and was passed through 3 individuals, eventually speaking to a team leader who said they gave my appointment away because I didn’t pay by 9am and it was not “timely”. Even though this team leader said they get a few cancellations a day, they put me in with another male doctor in 7 weeks time - 20th March 2026 which is useless to me. So they took payment for a cancelled appointment and did not consult me on the new time. Also again, they put me in with a male despite being told multiple times I needed a female due to domestic violence history.

This is a major setback for me. They have actually caused me trauma. I’m 39 and this is a once in a life time, huge emotional moment for me getting assessed which they have ruined. I was looking forward to finally being understood but they’ve treated me like dirt and are incompetent. They’ve also jeopardised my tribunal claim as the date is set by court, I can’t change it, and I don’t have my evidence I need now. After me waiting a full month on them to reschedule as their staff member was sick! They have shown me such callous disgusting treatment because I did not make a payment at 9am but made it the same day like I told them I would.

After I complained they discharged me citing “zero tolerance” policy after I communicated my valid concerns and raised a formal complaint. I was very distressed as I need an assessment so urgently but I received no care or empathy. They have wasted months of my time, and I feel misled as this is not what they advertise on their website. There are videos stating they know their clients are in distress and their core values include empathy. They also state you’ll get an assessment in a few weeks. I did not expect them to remove me from their service because I was disappointed and upset by their actions. They also are holding my £1345 (I paid them a £200 deposit plus £1145 and they said they processed the full refund but didn’t).

I’m sick to my stomach. I believe this company do not care about patients, acting in ways that are unsupportive to patient needs, callous, negligent and in breach of multiple practice standards.

Avoid is my advice, I’ve spoken to two other firms since and although I’m having trouble getting booked in now at such short notice, I’ve received 100 times more professionalism and respect. I feel I’ve been naive and got caught up in an overloaded sales funnel of conveyor belt appointments.

I’m reporting them to their Regulator and continuing my formal complaint. They have taken full payment with no service or patient care and although they say they are refunding, I’ve not yet received it and it’s blocking me booking in elsewhere urgently. The reason I came to them was because I needed an urgent appointment in the first place! It’s just unbelievable and devastating.

We would like to clarify several points raised in your review, as some aspects do not accurately reflect the events or our processes.

Your original appointment on 9th January 2026 was cancelled due to clinician illness, which is regrettable but unavoidable. We worked to offer alternative appointments as soon as availability allowed. Throughout this period, our team communicated appointment options, payment requirements, and timelines clearly and in writing, in line with our clinic policies, which apply consistently to all patients.

With regard to payment, full settlement by the stated deadline was required to secure the appointment. As payment was not received by that time, the appointment was released to another patient, in accordance with our terms and conditions. We appreciate that this was disappointing, however the decision was procedural rather than personal and was communicated transparently.

We also note your concerns regarding clinician preferences. While we try to accommodate requests wherever possible, we cannot always guarantee clinician gender or appointment timing due to availability constraints, particularly at short notice.

Following subsequent communications, our zero-tolerance policy was invoked due to the manner in which our staff were addressed. This policy exists to ensure the safety and wellbeing of both patients and staff, and it is applied only after careful consideration. It is never a step we take lightly.

We can confirm that a full refund has been processed. While bank processing times of 5-10 business days, as communicated, are outside of our control, no funds have been retained by the clinic.

Our review of your complaint show no suggestion of negligence or lack of care. Our team strives to act with professionalism, empathy, and fairness at all times, while also maintaining clear boundaries and operational standards that allow us to deliver safe and effective services.

We regret that we were not the right service for you on this occasion and sincerely wish you the very best in securing the support you need moving forward.

Highly recommend

The service we have received from diverse diagnostics has been amazing. The process from first Communicaton to diagnosis to medication has very helpful, professional and prompt. Every member of staff we have come into contact with have friendly and professional. Would highly recommend them

Supportive, clear process, but cost remains a real barrier

I’ve had a positive experience with Diverse Diagnostics. The process felt clear and straightforward, which helped make something that can feel quite overwhelming much easier to manage.

Michaela Ward was really helpful with aftercare and appointment scheduling, and was always clear, responsive, and easy to deal with. It made the admin side of things feel much less stressful.

The main drawback is the cost. While I understand the pressures on private services, the expense of diagnosis and especially ongoing medication will be out of reach for many people. Aside from that, the service itself has been professional and supportive, and I’ve felt well looked after throughout.
