Throughout our tenancy, the flat provided a peaceful and comfortable environment. The team consistently responded to our requests promptly and without delay, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.

In particular, Andy B. was exceptional in his role. He listened attentively to our concerns and ensured they were addressed effectively and efficiently.

I would confidently recommend DJ Alexander at any time.

I was fortunate to have a property manager who always kept me informed and arranged all that was needed in a very professional manner. Nicole Galt gave me confidence that my property was always looked after. I live in Spain and cannot visit the house to carry out my own checks so it is important to have some one you can trust looking after your property and thanks to Nicole I had that confidence my interests were being looked after.

We have been using D J Alexander as our agent since late 2023, when they combined with Stonehouse lettings. We're generally happy with the service we receive - money gets paid to us promptly and issues generally get resolved quickly, subject to tradesman and contractors being available and tenants cooperating. Who looks after us changes now and again but that's okay as it's properly communicated.
It's been Jessica Leggate looking after our property now - doing an inspection and following up on that well. Recently she's been doing a good job regarding a roof repair, so getting a few quotes and following up on details. Hopefully she will stay looking after our property for a while.

We rented one of DJ Alexander’s spacious properties at Cults, Aberdeen from April 2023 to March 2026. As we were based in Sri Lanka at the time, other letting agents declined to offer online viewings. However, Samantha Bell and her team at the Aberdeen office of DJ Alexander kindly arranged a virtual viewing and went above and beyond to ensure everything was ready for us to move in directly from the airport, even on a Sunday.

From that point on, their cooperation and responsiveness to our minor requests were exceptional. Additionally, Samantha Bell and her team helped us find a reliable end-of-tenancy cleaning service in Aberdeen, ensuring the property met all DJ Alexander’s required standards.

I rented a flat through this company for almost two years and had no problems at all. When it came to me moving out, the process was so smooth and all staff were super helpful! I was there during the viewings and the viewing agents were lovely too! The girls and Hannah Byers were so helpful via email upon moving out and everything was done super quickly and easily! We’ve been using this estate agent to rent out our properties for some time now and have always been extremely happy with the service we receive. The team are professional, reliable, and make the whole process smooth and stress-free.

Hannah Byres was very kind and fair during the end of tenancy process and deposit return process. She communicated with us very closely.

The whole experience was very well handled. The first offer was cancelled and while back on the market thanks to the snow and ice we had serious water ingress in the single bedroom but this was well taken care of and the new tenant was able to move in on the expected date.

Absolutely appalling company to deal with. All they are interested in is taking your money. Exceptionally poor attention to detail, appalling customer service, do not know their jobs. As a landlord I would never recommend them. Crooks. Quarterly checks not not done properly. My house was trashed but they gave the whole deposit back to the tenants as they had lost all the paperwork and then lied about it. They didn't follow up on their complaints procedures blaming it on the bad weather. I was constantly lied to and given incorrect information.

I have now heard back from DJ Alexander stating they take no responsibility for the fact that they didnt have any of the correct paperwork for the property when they merged with another company and made no attempt to get it. They are not taking any responsibility for not returning the deposit to me despite the fact they had proof the amount of money it cost to return the property to an acceptable condition after the tenant trashed it.

Worst agency I’ve ever dealt with. Moved into a property that was absolutely filthy. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere, stains on the walls and carpets, and a huge grease stain above the extractor fan, which had no filter. Grease was spread across the ceiling and walls with flies stuck to it. We spent two full days bleaching and deep cleaning the place just to make it liveable.

During the tenancy we had ongoing issues including heating problems and cracks forming in the walls. We even offered to pay to have the walls repainted ourselves but this was refused. After around six months the property had deteriorated so much that we could not cope anymore and had to leave.

Now they are trying to blame us for cleaning and maintenance issues, claiming they need to pay for professional cleaners despite the condition of the property when we moved in. They have also accused us of breaking items that were in perfect working order when we handed the keys back. On top of that they misplaced a set of keys and attempted to blame us for it. This feels like a complete attempt to unfairly keep the deposit. We will be disputing it and are very relieved to be out. Avoid this agency.

I had problems right from the start The agent that turned up to do the viewing turned up with the wrong keys, and I was noy the only person they had double booked the viewing she apologized and tried to arrange an alternate time, when she realized that this was not possible she had a fellow agent take the correct keys to her home and the agent picked them up and returned to the property to do the viewing which I really appreciated. The description of the property was not accurate it did not inform you about Utilities. The referencing Company that they use offers poor service they continued to require more information sometimes asking for the same information twice. they did not provide a Phone number to be able to contact them only an e-mail that they did not reply to.
