No So Easycare
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with EasyCare Warranty Services.
When I purchased a used vehicle that was approximately one year old with only 10,000 miles, I was told the EasyCare extended warranty was transferable to me as the new owner. Shortly after the purchase, I contacted EasyCare and was told I needed to work through the dealership where the warranty was originally purchased.
I contacted the dealership several times, speaking with management, finance, and customer service. Unfortunately, no one could explain the transfer process. After getting nowhere, I assumed the warranty remained in effect and decided I would address the transfer if I ever needed to use it.
On June 25, 2026, I contacted EasyCare again and spoke with Margaret. She informed me that transferring the warranty is actually a simple process requiring only a signed form from the original owner. However, she then advised me that I was outside the 30-day transfer window and therefore ineligible.
My frustration is that neither EasyCare nor the dealership provided this information when I initially tried to transfer the warranty. Had I been properly informed, the transfer could have been completed within days of purchase.
I asked several times to speak with a supervisor or manager and was denied each time. I also requested a retroactive cancellation and refund since no claims had ever been filed, but that request was denied as well.
I made multiple good-faith attempts to transfer this warranty and was never given the information needed to do so. The lack of flexibility, accountability, and customer service has been extremely disappointing. I would encourage anyone considering an EasyCare warranty to obtain all transfer requirements in writing and not rely on verbal guidance from either the dealership or EasyCare representatives.
It really should be a half star IFâŠ
It really should be a half star IF THAT! What a crock. I missed one oil change in 6 years and it denied my claim. I would never recommend them. NEVER. Totally dissatisfied with their alleged coverage.
Stole my money for a sham policy
Please get a different warranty if you actually need a repair.
I had only 1 time I needed help from EasyCare, and I could not be more dissatisfied with them. After taking my Jeep into the shop in 2024 to find out the issue it was having, I was relieved to know I had EasyCare to help with the likely problem. I kept good care of my vehicle and made sure the normal maintenances were kept up. I had asked for a transmission flush and if it was required at any point for my Jeep, and the shop (before this one) told me to NOT get one and that it was NOT a requirement for my vehicle. With that knowledge, I did not get one. That was around 98k miles. At exactly 122,000k miles, my Jeep stopped driving correctly. At this point I am certain it is the transmission, as it is a CVT and I had just recently learned those aren't very good after so long. So, I had it towed to the shop to get checked out. After 3-4 months of them trying to diagnose the issue, they ended up finding out the trans had failed! They called me and told me a transmission replacement would be covered under my EasyCare policy, as they could see that in my paperwork. They then called EasyCare, and EasyCare told them because I didn't get a transmission flush at 120k miles, they would not cover this repair. I told them I was specifically instructed to not get one, yet they did not budge. Now, in 2026, I took my vehicle to a different shop. The funny thing is, is that the transmission fluid was fine, and didn't clog any trans lines. The CVT trans had internally failed. It did NOT fail due to the transmission flush not being done. I left a review on BBB a while ago about this, and EasyCare never got back to me after they asked if I wanted a refund of the policy I purchased, or if I wanted the repair to be done. This should not have happened, and because it did due to EasyCare's inconsistent customer service, I have been paying for an undrivable vehicle for a year and a half. I regret paying for this warranty and HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere, and that is also coming from my knowledge as a service advisor who actually cares about customer's getting their money's worth of work.
EasyCare does not care about you
My wife purchased a Honda CRV in May of 2024. She drives 50 minutes to work and back every day, so we figured we would purchase the tire protection through EasyCare just in case life happens. One Saturday morning she was driving and hit something and her tires blew, being that she works in a hospital I did what I could do to get her to work. Saving lives means she has to be at work to do that, so I had her tires replaced that morning at Sam's (closest place I could get that done and get her to work). First off, I had sent many follow-ups emails to ask for updates. After almost 11 weeks I call and I am told it was denied already, first time I am hearing this. They said since my name was on the Sam's invoice it was denied, proof of my wife's signature on two documents provided initially as well. My name is on the membership so that was a problem, I asked them to review it again as I provided her signature on the invoice they were refuting and also a document that described the entire day's events. Now they have reviewed it and denied it again (in one day and with a separate reason) as I did not take the care to an EasyCare service location, as I stated above and they are fully aware of. My wife works in a hospital attempting to save lives and her tires blew. Apparently, that is not a good enough reason to not make it to an approved location. I spent $973 on the protection and now another $1000 for her to get all new tires and was expecting the tires to be covered or at least partially covered. I will continue to fight this and will never recommend anyone work with EasyCare. Customer care is horrendous and this has been a nightmare experience, luckily, we are financially in a position where this money does not stop us from being able to put food on the table but for some that may not be the case, and you will see in this story EasyCare could not care less.
EasyCare denied Nissan CVT claim
Bommarito Nissan includes a $200,000 mile/10 year warranty through EasyCare for powertrain components. My 2017 Pathfinderâs transmission went out at 120,000. EasyCare wants every oil change, air filter change, cabin filter change documented. Mind you none of these affect the transmission. One of our service shops has closed. We could not provide enough proof so they declined our claim. Nissan CVTs suck. I also owned a 2014 Infiniti QX60 that failed. I kept the Pathfinder because I thought if the transmission failed, it would be covered. Shame on me. $7,900 for a new transmission is ridiculous. Never again with EasyCare or Nissan
I needed a repair on my Truck âŠ
I needed a repair on my Truck mind you I have easy care warranty when I say they did not come through the Cadillac dealership tried to help me unsuccessful its like you pay for something for nothing when you buy your vehicle they make u feel like you in good hands a you made a good decision on a warranty so I say never again never ever geting easy care rip off need to go ut of business it is hard to get any help this is a real experience like this Month and the r sending mail asking if I want to extend my warranty no no no no loss my address
15 days. Obscure but 15 days exactly. Business days? Maybe
Completely dismissed as someone who didn't send the correct paperwork, someone who just had to wait or someone who didn't even have the claim. I have every shred of documents (I've been through this before) and they refuse to pay my finance company, return my emails or just do their job. Ive made 3 full car payment after my car was considered totaled by the other drivers insurance. The lady hit my car in my driveway in the middle of the night yet they continue to explain that they need more days. BBB has received all of this as well as the Attorney General of Ohio.
Exclusionary policies are ridiculous
For three years I paid monthly for their highest level of insurance available to me. My Volvo suddenly threw a piston ring (a mechanical issue) that caused damage to the cylinder wall. I presented my extensive car maintenance record that showed oil changes well before the recommended factory intervals. This car never showed a check engine light. Upon breakdown, an inspector sited the presence of carbon as the factor in denying my engine replacement claim. Carbon will always exist in an internal combustion engine. Itâs a byproduct of the fuel burning process. Easycare claims it as a contaminant, even though the language of the contract does not mention carbon as a contaminant. This seems like a blanket way of denying catastrophic claims, which is perhaps the main reason why consumers choose an extended warranty.
Avoid EasyCare. The loopholes in their exclusions a will leave you out of luck. My contract is set up that I can cancel at anytime. Now I cannot get anyone at EasyCare to answer my calls to cancel.

EasyCare Does NOT Honor Their Tire Warranty
I purchased the EasyCare Select Plus Upgrade warranty for over $3,800, which specifically includes Road Hazard Tire and Wheel coverage. When I needed the coverage, EasyCare failed to honor it.
Two of my tires were damaged in a situation this warranty is supposed to cover. EasyCare approved one tire but denied the other, claiming there was âno air loss.â What makes absolutely no sense is that neither tire had air loss, yet one was approved anyway. The decision was inconsistent, arbitrary, and totally illogical.
I provided clear photos showing deep gashes on the denied tire, damage any qualified professional would deem unsafe to drive on. Even the service shop at the dealership confirmed the tire was hazardous.
When I called EasyCare, I was told the damage was âsuperficial,â despite the photographic evidence showing otherwise. Meanwhile, the tire they did approve also had no air loss, but it did have a bulge which they rightfully recognized as unsafe. Yet they refused to apply the same logic to the other damaged tire. Their reasoning is contradictory, dismissive, and shows zero regard for customer safety.
I paid a substantial amount for this coverage, and now Iâm being forced to pay out of pocket for a tire that clearly should be covered under the Road Hazard policy. EasyCareâs refusal is unreasonable, inconsistent, and unacceptable.
If youâre considering buying an EasyCare warranty, think twice. They will gladly take your money but may not honor the coverage when you actually need it.

Rip off. Cost me more to go to post office in gas than what you sent for four boxes of strips that Walgreens charges $99.00 a box and you clowns sent me $38.00 for FOUR boxes. I even did the scratch off card and returned the boxes the day after I received it from you. NOT worthy of my time at all. Iâd tell people to look elsewhere to sell their strips. A joke

My 2021 Cayenne's A/C quit workingâŠ
My 2021 Cayenne's A/C quit working while out of town in Monterey, California. Monterey Porsche
refused to accept Easy Care. The Cayenne was 28 days out of Factory warranty. Their attempt to repair failed and charged me $1,800. I shipped the vehicle back to Autobahn Porsche Fort Worth, Texas. They repaired the vehicle and Porsche paid the bill. They did not cover the bill from Monterey Porsche.
I attempted to have Easy Care Cover it and because I did not call and get prior approval for the repair in California. You denied to pay. I was not aware I had to call personally since I have never had to in the past. The dealer got bills covered for me.
That technicality with your company disgusts me.
$1,800. is a pretty good bill but not the end of the world. I will never have anything to do with Easy Care again and I will inform anyone I know to refuse your warranty. I have already informed management at Autobahn about this. I hope they start offering alternatives to your product.

My car needed an ac valve replaced due to leaking and the charge was over $600. However, my cost was only my $100 deductible which I was most grateful for. I wasnât happy with the rental car coverage as they would not cover the cost while in the shop for diagnostics and the dealership required 1-3 DAYS to just diagnose it.
