Avoid this company at all costs. They are incompetent, unprofessional, and dishonest

Absolutely appalling service – avoid at all costs
I believed ordering number plates from a company called EasyNumberPlates would be, well, easy... I was so, so wrong.

I ordered two identical pressed aluminium number plates and quickly received confirmation and receipts via email. Four working days later, I received the plates, only to find they’d sent me two standard plastic plates, not the aluminium ones I paid for. Disappointing, but mistakes happen. I figured it would be easy to get it sorted.

I submitted two contact forms on their website, providing all the necessary details and evidence. No response. I waited four more days, assuming maybe they had a backlog. Still nothing.

So I changed my approach and sent an email. To their credit, I got a reply within 24 hours asking for a photo of the incorrect plates. I sent it straight away. Their response? They needed to “send it to the workshop for review.” Which is odd, because anyone with functioning eyesight could see they’d sent the wrong product, standard white/yellow plastic plates, not black pressed aluminium, as per my order.
28 hours later, still no update. I’m then told the warehouse manager will look at the photo “tomorrow morning.” It was starting to feel like a joke. How can a number plate company fail to identify its own mistake in a photo?

Eventually, I get a reply, no apology, stating the correct plates would be sent out within 4–5 working days.

A week later, still nothing. I email again. This time I’m told the plates are awaiting collection by the courier and I’d receive a notification once dispatched.
Another 12 days go by. No plates. No email. Nothing. I chase them again, asking for proof of dispatch or a courier receipt. That would be the bare minimum any halfway competent business would do at this point.
Instead, I receive a one-sentence reply:
“I have gone ahead and issued a full refund. These should have reached you within this time scale. Refunds take 3–5 working days.”

So, not only did they lie about the courier collecting the plates, they clearly never corrected the original mistake at all. I think they just hoped I’d forget and they can keep my money.

This company has wasted over four weeks of my time, repeatedly ignored me, and misled me at every stage. Absolutely appalling customer service. They can’t even manage the basic task of printing and sending the correct number plates.

Avoid this company at all costs. They are incompetent, unprofessional, and dishonest.

We’re sorry to read your version of events, but we feel it’s important to clarify what actually happened.

You placed an order for pressed aluminium plates, but due to a dispatch error, you received plastic plates. Once you contacted us, we promptly acknowledged the mistake and requested a photo to confirm, a standard step to ensure we identify and resolve any issues correctly.

We arranged for replacements to be made and dispatched, but due to an unforeseen stock delay, these unfortunately took longer than expected. Rather than keep you waiting any longer, we chose to issue you a full refund — even though you kept and did not return the original plates we sent.

At no point did we attempt to “keep your money” or mislead you — in fact, you received both the incorrect plates and a full refund, meaning you were not left out of pocket.

While we accept responsibility for the initial mistake and the delay, we reject the accusation that we are dishonest or unprofessional. We have thousands of satisfied customers and pride ourselves on resolving genuine issues fairly.

We wish you the best and are sorry this order did not meet your expectations.

We’re sorry you feel this way, but we need to set the record straight.

Your order was processed and dispatched exactly as requested and you received the plates you ordered. No where on our website or in our product descriptions do we advertise pre-drilled fixing holes, and we have never claimed to provide them. This is because every customer’s fixing requirements are different, and pre-drilling would risk damaging plates or making them unsuitable for your specific vehicle.

We have fulfilled our part of the deal in full. It is unreasonable to demand a remedy for something that was never included or promised in the first place.

We take all feedback seriously, but unfounded accusations and threats do not change the fact that you received the correct goods as described. Please feel free to contact trading standards, we are happy to liaise with them.

Bad Experience

Not sure what went wrong. First off delivery was very late and they apologised. Item was delivered damaged with package open and asked the courier what was going on. I took delivery just to realise they sent the wrong thing and returned item next day delivery, got the item and told me refund will be 3-5 days. After 6 days I got back and again was told now done the refund and will take 3-5 days. Honestly I will not advise anyone to go through what I did. I have video and text to back up all that I'm saying.

I'm just adding a line following your reply. I have text messages from you apologising for the late delivery. How would I have used it when I posted it same day on a Saturday that it was delivered?
Anyway I have just left this to the public. You might have great standards before which you need to maintain. Not drop it. Reviews like this is a wake up call to keep you sharp. If there was a resource here to add photos and videos I would have submitted all evidence. You did not do well and as of today 07/08 there is still no refund.

We’d like to clarify the situation for anyone reading. You received exactly what you ordered, and we fulfilled your request in line with the order confirmation.

After receiving your plates, you used them and then returned them scratched and not in the same condition they were sent. Despite this, and against our usual policy, we still issued you a full refund as a goodwill gesture.

You became difficult to deal with once we informed you that the plates had been used and damaged, which was supported by the condition they were returned in.

We stand by the quality of our service and products, and we always do our best to resolve issues fairly - even when customers do not meet their end of the agreement. We encourage anyone reading this to view our hundreds of positive reviews that reflect our genuine commitment to customer service.

Shocking attitude

Ordered Irish metro show plates. Clicked on the links and followed the process and for 48 hr delivery. 4 days later received standard plates. Contacted Amire and was told to email and to send a video of the process. Did this and he agreed there was probably a glitch but no refund. Only offered a 10% discount an other full price set of plates. I questioned this as it was not my fault and have since been ignored. Terrible company.

Reply to you. You can clearly see on the video I sent you that I clicked metro plates and I followed the link on your website for those plates but still it went back to normal plates at the end as I did not notice that at the time as I had followed the link for the metro plates.I explained all that to you in the email. I didn’t ask you for a refund. I asked you for the correct plates I originally wanted and I would pay the difference but you chose to ignore that request and only offer 10% of the full price of another set. You did not bother to reply to my last email.

Let’s be honest – your review is simply not accurate. Shocking attitude? Really, when we’ve responded to every query?

You selected standard plates during the order process, not Irish Metro show plates. Our website has multiple confirmation points before an order is placed:

• The plate builder page,
• The basket page,
• The checkout confirmation,
• And the order confirmation email.

At every stage, the correct product you chose was clearly displayed and that was not the Irish Metro style.

We responded to your email promptly, asked for a video (which you sent), and we clearly explained that you selected the wrong plate. We still offered you a 10% discount on a replacement out of goodwill, despite the mistake being yours, not ours.

You weren’t ignored, and your claim that this was our fault is completely untrue!

We run an honest business, but we won’t accept false accusations or attempts to get a refund for customer error.

Save your money and find a local shop to get your plates from to save the hassle this man gives you in your life.

Absolute rubbish!

Can not stick to their word!

They told me if I wrote a 5* review I would be paid £5. I had to chase my £5!

When ordering I paid for 48 tracked, this means plates should have been here within 2-3 working days!
My plates took over a week to come again. Finally the plates arriving and wow what poor quality of printing they are!

I wouldn’t recommend this company at all. When giving feedback to somebody on WhatsApp from this company all they could keep saying to me is ‘they have refunded my postage and my £5 as a good Will gesture,
This is a lot more than what they do for anyone else ‘I am absolutely fuming they think this level of service is acceptable

Do yourself a favour and honestly do not order from them!!

As explained so I should have been refunded, you failed to deliver within the time I paid for and the £5 was promised as I wrote reviews! So I’m very confused on where you think this is a gesture of good will

Your poor quality plates have not and will not be fitted to my car! Your website is dodgey! And you failed to take ownership!

We are disappointed to read your review, especially as your claims are entirely inaccurate and misleading.

You were refunded both your postage and an additional £5 as a goodwill gesture — more than what most companies would offer under the circumstances. Despite our efforts to assist, it became clear you were more interested in receiving freebies than resolving any genuine concern.

Furthermore, if the plates were truly of such poor quality as claimed, it raises the question as to why you proceeded to fit them to your vehicle.

Our website has always clearly distinguished between road legal and show plates, and our processing times were in line with the service selected. We have acted fairly and professionally at every step, and our position remains the same: we have resolved this matter appropriately.

We are a professional business, and while we are always happy to support genuine customers, we will not tolerate false claims or misuse of review platforms to gain freebies.

We have just received a set of plates


We have just received a set of plates for our grand daughters 21st birthday present, and want to say what a great job Easy Number Plates have made of them along with the slogan on the bottom of them.
I must say after we ordered them I went on Trustpilot and read all of the negative reviews and wondered if we had made the correct decision, but to their credit they have done a brilliant job with being kept in contact all through the six days (with bank holiday and weekend days) it took for delivery. Thank you Easy Number Plates for the biggest smile on our grand daughters face when we gave them to her, well worth the 5 stars.

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered the plates and received a email to provide evidence of my legal registration. All documents sent over with no problems. Waited a week and made contact via WhatsApp, which was ignored. Following week made a second attempt via email. Was finally answered with a email saying “my address was invalid” and to confirm my address via email. My home address reconfirmed and email received saying there was a problem with “parcel force” delivery, when my account said it would be delivered via Royal Mail. Another week passes and still no plates, another email sent to say where are my plates as my account keeps saying “processing” asked if it would be wise to request a refund for said plates or if I could pick them up personally or at any Collection point. Was ignored again, sent a few email which again was ignored. Waited a few more days and received a generic email saying “postage issues refunded” no email of apology, no response to why they was unable to deliver them. Nothing. I sent a email back to ask what the email is supposed to mean and that I would like to go elsewhere I got “ Your order has been refunded and this email confirms a full refund was processed this morning” no sorry for messing me about or not informing me of what is going on. Literally built a number plate I wanted and paid good money for and get delivered a disgraceful service. Waited over 4 weeks for nothing. Thanks for that. Avoid at all costs.

Easy use of designing tool

Great site to use to build the plates. Very easy to use, and I liked the fact you can actually see what the text and design will look like whilst choosing. I have just to send off documents, then await the delivery of the plates. I will provide more feedback when they arrive. So far, so good.

Couldn’t be happier

Couldn’t be happier, After reading the negative reviews I was very sceptical but my aluminium pressed plates come and I can’t ask for better quality,I think some people just ask for to much. I would 100% recommend them for number plates.
