This was my first time placing an order with this company, and it will be my last. I ordered the third week of August with a promised delivery window of 5–7 business days. That window came and went with no shipment. When I called to check, I was told it hadn't even been 7 business days yet and to call back later.

I called again once that window passed. This time I was told there was "something happening in the warehouse" — no explanation, and no estimated ship date. I asked about a refund and was told it would take 5–10 business days to process.

I needed the items for a birthday party on September 9. It is now September 14, and I still have nothing. Every time I call, I get a different representative, and every time the answer is the same: "just wait, your order is in the queue." No proactive updates, no accountability, no resolution — and not once was I offered a coupon, discount, or any gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. Meanwhile, they're clearly still taking new orders on their site, knowing full well they can't ship out the ones already placed.

This order was $700. I'm now cancelling and requesting a full refund. As a first-time customer, this is exactly the kind of experience that guarantees I never order from them again — and I'd caution anyone else before they do.

I ordered a white suit on August 15th which stated that it takes 5 to 7 business days to receive it. I have called several times about the order with different claims that it would be received shortly or the week that I ordered there was a processing problem. However, I still have not received a date when it would be received and today is the August 31st. I needed this suit for an event on September 4th that I was attending which required a white suit. I am now stuck without a suit because every place I tried to order from either is out of stock in my size or I won't be able to get until September 8th. I'm told that the company is in New Jersey and I live in New York, so there should be no reason that I have not received this suit by now. I would not order from Especially Yours again. I'm not sure how they stay in business. I requested a refund and will see how long this takes.

First time , Last time...7 items ordered all , size 1x . 2 outfits were not up to par. 2 of the items were labeled 1x but was big enough for a 5x . I was deeply disappointed with the way the company handle my refund request.. I can understand a final sale policy, but when you outright lie about what something looks like and the NOT true to size, and refuse to make any restitution like an exchange, I'm completely done with you. THIS IS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY.I wouldn't recommend ordering from this company to anyone. 5 dresses were too BIG. I am able to make the length adjustments, instead of just below the knee as advertised. THEY DRAG TO THE FLOOR.
I am so disappointed and disgusted as I purchased these outfits in advance to wear to an event coming up very soon. I Will be buying from other companies in the future.

I've been a customer of Especially Yours for over ten years. Throughout these years I have received quality clothing. In the past year, I have been disappointed with the quality of clothing I have received. The material is thick foam. I thought you could only get this type of material at Temu or Shein. Very heavy material. This should be disclosed in the description. I'm ordering what I believe to be summer outfits, which I cannot wear in the summer.

I have the catalog for wigs and clothes. You should be ashamed of the wigs you have posted in the magazine. They look horrible and should be updated.

I have orderedfrom Especially Yours since 2012. I've always gotten good quality merchandise with few returns. For the most part, I've been very satisfied and even recommended this company until recently. The last 3 outfits were not up to par. 1 was passable bc I can adjust the sleeves myself and I got a great deal on it. But the other two I was deeply disappointed with. I can understand a final sale policy, but when you outright lie about what something looks like and refuse to make any restitution like an exchange, I'm completely done with you. I don't know if they're under new management or what, but I wouldn't recommend ordering from them to anyone. One dress is absolutely beautiful but its gown length instead of just below the knee as advertised. The other is a hideous color, the skirt is ankle length instead of knee length as advertised and the sash isn't long at all. I am so disappointed and disgusted as I purchased these outfits in advance to wear to an event coming up very soon. Will be buying from other companies in the future.

I put in an order. I called them back an hour later to cancel. They refused to refund me saying I should have canceled in 30 minutes, they had a robot on who kept repeating wrong numbers on order. I called again the next morning. They refused to let me talk to a supervisor and told me my order cannot be canceled. They took my money immediately.

I ordered 2 suits on June 5th. They have sold out. Refusing to communicate with me. All I get is a machine named Eva with automation voices. They have my money and the merchandise. They are scammers!!!!

I purchased 3 items from them. 2 of these items were complete garbage. Those 2 items were $43.00, they offered me $6. DO NOT purchase anything from these scammers.

I am extremely disappointed with this experience. I placed my order on 3/6/26 with an expected delivery date of 3/9/26. When nothing arrived, I called on 3/25 and was told it would be delivered by 3/31. That date came and went—still no package.

I called again on 4/2 and requested a refund since the item had clearly not been shipped or delivered. I was told I would receive an email once the refund was processed, but I never received anything.

Now, after calling again today (4/7), I’m being told the package “should” arrive on 4/8—after I already requested a refund. To make matters worse, the tracking number still shows that the courier hasn’t even received the item yet, which makes this entire situation even more frustrating.

Customer service then advised me to refuse the package once it arrives, but said I would be charged a $19 return fee. That is completely unacceptable. Why should I be charged for returning something that was never delivered on time and wasn’t even properly shipped when promised?

I simply want my money back. Being told I can’t get a refund until they receive merchandise I never actually received is beyond unreasonable. Now I have to dispute with my bank.

I’ve ordered from this company before without any issues, but after this experience, I will never order from them again. This has been a frustrating and disappointing process from start to finish.

I have been afflicted customer for several years, about two years ago I had a return. The refund amount was pennies in comparison. I felt the return process was horrible. Then they revamped. Took a while to start back ordering. I order 3 dresses, and couldn't return one. This is not a company that serves a woman's style needs. You cannot return things that dont fit or you desire. I am done

Was originally given incorrect return information. I was told to take pkg to Usps for them to print label and was told they don't do that without a Qr code. I called EY back and got the same gentleman that insisted they could and hung up on me. I called back again and was connected to another rep that told me to take it to a library to print out! These ppl are rude!
They are under new management since June 2025
and I will never do business with them again!

Never received my item they refused to replace it or refund it. They just kept sending me my address over and over again and asking me to look for it. I finally gave up Don don’t waste your time.

I ordered from this company . I ordered the size I normally wear. The suit was way to small. I called to get a bigger size. They would not help me in any way possible. I was not trying to get my money back. I asked for a supervisor I was not able to speak to one. I have lost over a $100.00. There is absolutely nothing I can do with this outfit. I was also told because of clearance. I was nit aware of that.
I will never order anything from this company again

My name is Millicent McGrew I place an order with especially your almost a month ago first I email this company to find out the status of my order finally they responded back no I been using my card before when I place an order I receive my order finally this second I put in now they tell me they can't place the order okay so cancel and as for a refund now they telling me I place this order with a different card which that card be dispose along time ago I send the card number I been using all this time now they telling a bald face lie that I use the other card the lying all I wAnt is my refund customer sucks they are bad business I don't like to write bad reviews when you not right you will get a bad review from there terrible all I want is my refund and I mean my refund you will never heard or order from you all again people be careful when you dealing with this company there bad business want my refund that's all now they telling me they found the card that I use they wasn't no funds on the card that is such a lie they to tell me this been since I put the order I'm telling Especially Yours Customer Service is very pitiful highly recommend don't mess with them you have to wait so long to get your merchandise if I did not have no money on that why they wait until to tell this company is bad business all I want is my refund they never have to worry about me anymore I will never place another order I advise you the same thing. Ordered a Dress and Hat fir my wifes Christmas gift. 14 day shipping! Ordered on 27 Nov right away the dress comes in. I am looking for the hat. On Dec 10 I get an out of order notice through email. Ok now its a little late to switch gears in a gift, I am asked do I want a refund or wait! Oh well I have half the order so refund on a hat is out of the question. I am informed 27 Dec, is the ship date, welp there goes a half Christmas gift. Flash forward to 31 Dec I call ok where is the hat? Now I am upset and tell the young lady why ship half of an order and inform a customer at the last hour things are back ordered? I was not given the option to choose another ensemble. The wife wants the hat with THIS outfit and without it this is incomplete. Si are you going to wave the 30 day return rule as you messed up not me. No hat, she dies not want it. Just send a dress minus jacket! I have been a customer for a/a 10 years this how we treat repeating customers? Horrible service on this

I purchased 2 dresses and a pants suit for total of $205.98. The dresses were a cheap thick polyester, which looked awful and the 3pc pants suit was a thin flimsy fabric. I was charged a re-stocking fee for EACH item and return postage which came to 46.00. Basically, I lost almost 50 bucks to try on and return these 3 items. I will never buy from them again. I suggest u think twice between the poor quality, restocking and return shipping fees u have to pay to get rid of them.

Made a purchase in late June 2025. Charged for all items, received half of items ordered. Have contacted customer service NINE times over four months with no assistance whatsoever. I haven't got the items, but I am OUT the money spent.

Unfortunately, a one star is the lowest that can be given. Nevertheless, don't trust the store. No response to emails and expect to be on hold over an hour. I ordered a quantity of 2 of two separate dresses priced at $29.99 each on sale, two separate colors, 4 dresses total. I only received a quantity of 2 dresses, not 4. This company charged me $59.98 each for two dresses and did not send the other two items purchases. Basically, they fraudulently charged my card AFTER the the transaction the off sale price and not the sales price. I should have been charges $65.98. Then you have the matter of calling customer services. I was on hold over an hour before i was able to reach someone that claims new management and they are not able to see the old order, how convenient. After repeating the same script to me over 10 minutes, i asked to speak to a manager so she forward my call to a script that repeats the following, "Thank you for hold, our team is reviewing your request and will be right with you, we appreciate your time and we promise it will be worth the wait." it was a continuous loop for over 17 minutes and still counting at the time of the post. This company practices fraudulent sales methods an you are advised to not risk compromising your credit cards and time. They will be reported to the credit card company and the state attorney general.

The company suddenly closed once my order was received. I had issues with my order and needed to return or exchange. Since they shut down I was not able to return or exchange and currently on July 8, 2025 I have not been able to get a hold of anyone. So they have my money and I have products that I cannot use and have no way of communicating with anyone. Their phone number from June 27 to July7 had a recorded message saying they are not available. As of July 8 2025 there is an answering machine but it goes to voice mail!!! I will not be ordering anymore I will be shopping on elsewhere!!!
