No delivery after waiting two weeks and promised four delivery dates.

Placed our order online and after being told four times over a two week period the delivery would be made, no-one turned up. Each time we spoke to customer services on the phone they would promise the delivery date/time, but each time we were let down. Even after using the company over a two year period. Really poor service.

Let down by Evesons

Having been a customer for several years with no problems, I have really been let down by them this time. I placed an order 3 weeks ago, for delivery by small tanker. I was promised delivery at the latest by last week. I am now out of oil, and despite endless promises of delivery, the earliest date I have now been given is possibly 2-3 weeks from now. I gather they have a problem with their small tanker. If they had communicated this to me, a week ago, I could have sorted out a delivery with a different company before I ran out. But no messages, I had to call about 10 times to endlessly chase them, no one could ever give me a direct answer. Anyway, I gave up eventually and went elsewhere. Rawlings of Basingstoke. They scheduled a delivery, with a small tanker with one phone call, gave me a delivery date there and then, at a cheaper price, and it arrived this morning. Evesons, never again I'm afraid.

I’ve been waiting nearly a week for my oil


I’ve been waiting nearly a week for my fuel delivery. Since the original delivery date, I’ve received daily text messages confidently promising delivery “tomorrow”. Spoiler alert: it never arrives.

The most recent order I made was placed via Boiler Juice, with Evesons responsible for fulfilment. Boiler Juice have confirmed they’ve had no updates from Evesons. When I contact Evesons myself, I’m repeatedly dismissed with: “You didn’t order from us, you need to chase Boiler Juice.” When I explain that I already have, I’m then told: “We don’t know when we’ll be able to deliver. I’ll get back to you.” They never do.

Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. Every recent interaction I’ve had with Evesons has been problematic, regardless of whether I ordered directly or via a third party. Their communication is abysmal, customer service staff are patronising, dismissive, and seemingly allergic to accountability. On a previous occasion, it took them several weeks to process a refund, despite being chased almost daily.

Running out of heating oil in winter isn’t a minor inconvenience, it’s a serious issue. Evesons appear to have neither the operational ability nor the customer service competence to manage the logistics of ensuring orders are fulfilled on time.

I would strongly advise anyone considering Evesons to save themselves the stress and order from literally any other supplier. In my experience, every alternative provides a better service, which frankly isn’t a high bar.

I do not know how these reviews work as I have never done this before.
I have left writing this for over a week to give myself time to ensure I am being objective and unemotional.
I have never come accross a company that blatantly lies to you but when we contacted Evesons to order our tank to be refilled we explained we had 9-10 days supply left.
I will not go into detail but it got to the stage when I just did not believe a word we were told. Yes we ran out completely and even then we were lied to about delivery days/times no less than THREE times! We eventually found someone who sent us an ‘emergency delivery’ the same day we called.
Evesons? never, ever, again. The company who helped is out were Rawlings from Basingstoke a small family firm and we have now appointed them as our supplier permanently. What can anyone do when you are given mistruths three times causing a whole string of problems in the coldest period in the UK?

Home heating oil delivery failures

We had a home heating oil delivery booked and then cancelled by the company on 4 separate occasions without an explanation for delivery failure on 3 of these occasions.
I must have phoned the company over a dozen times and we got to the point of having an almost empty fuel tank. Promises were made by the various people I phoned but without any subsequent result!
I was particularly upset as we had agreed to pay extra to ensure a specific delivery window. In addition, I wasted 4 whole days waiting at home for the delivery. I have made a formal complaint but still no response as yet.
We have used Evesons for many years and never previously had this problem.

Poor customer service.

Delivery date confirmed by the call centre when I rang to enquire for a confirmed date.

I was advised I was the 1st delivery on Friday, as a result of my tank not being accessible I changed my work plans.

I left it until 10.00 phoned the call centre who advised my delivery was Monday? I requested a call back from the Manager, no call.

Poor customer service.

In the past the service has always been good?

I am a long standing customer of Evesons Fuels. I want to express my disappointment at the level of service your company has been providing in the last two years – the service has progressively declined and this week fallen to an unacceptable level. I am also sure I am not the only customer with the same view.
Sequence of events this week:
1) I placed an order 12/01/2026 (confirmed as received by email the same day – Order No 3445553).
2) This was then followed up by an email stating the delivery was scheduled for 22/01/2026.
3) No delivery was realised on 22/01/2026. I tried to contact your office at the provided contact number – no response and was unable to leave a message as instructed on the contact number (“If you have any questions or need to reschedule, feel free to reach out to us on 02380 600430, and we'll be happy to assist you”).
4) I received an email on 23/01/2026 “Unfortunately we can't make your delivery 3445553. Our team is working hard to secure the next available slot for you. If you urgently need a refill, please call 02380 600430”. Again I could not reach you as there was no response / no means of leaving a message.
5) I received another email stating a scheduled for delivery on 23/01/2026.
6) No delivery was realised on 23/01/2026 – tried contacting you but no way of getting through / no ability to leave a message.
7) I received another email stating a scheduled for delivery on 24/01/2026 (Saturday - today). It is now 17:30 on 24/01/2026 – no delivery has been realised.
I summary, I probably will receive another email (since it seems an automatic triggered message following a non-delivery) for scheduled delivery on 26/01/2026 (presume you do not function on Sundays ie tomorrow 25/01/2026).
Frankly, this has been the worst of your declining service experiences to date. In the lasy year or so I have been given (at least when I did get through to talk to somebody) many excuses: weather, driver was sick, driver ran out of working hours etc. Really? In today’s real world it appears Evesons Fuels cannot organise and maintain a satisfactory service for its customers whilst other businesses which take customers serious;y and value their custom do. My minimum order is for 1000l – so it really is a significant sum of money that I pay each time you manage to deliver.

Lack of communication and transparency

Order placed hyst after Christmas date for delivery given as "by Jan 12th" this date came and went. A phone call to NWF confirmed we were still scheduled for delivery. A late evening email reported delivery would now be 13th January. No delivery, no explanation given. Further phone call made, employee told us delivery would definitely by within one hour or hour and a half. Nothing materialised. No communication or explanation. The 14th was ignored completely. 15th I made such an emotional fuss that apparently the driver was rerouted and we received our fuel. This happened despite being told there was NO WAY to communicate with the delivery drivers!! We will not be using this company in the future.
