Company wrote to my address without permission
Company wrote to my address, naming me, in the hopes they can find and sort out mis sold car finance.
They will have a job. I have never taken out car finance. I don't own a car. Never have. And yet this company can help me.
I can only assume a list of names and addresses have been purchased and the company is writing to them, regardless of whether the information is wanted or remotely relevant.

This marketing is targeted at consumers who previously entered into car finance agreements, however, if this does not relate to you then you can discard the marketing material.
If you do not wish to receive direct mail marketing, you may wish to sign up to the Mail Preference Service, which is a free service. Their website is www.mpsonline.org.uk
Please note that it can take up to 4 months for the service to become fully effective and is specific to the person who is registered at the address, rather than just the address itself. Therefore, if several people reside at one address and do not wish to receive direct mail marketing, each person should register with the MPS.

I've never owned a car!!!
I've never owned a car but somehow they've got my details. Fed up of having my information passed on. I will be asking them to remove my details. Unsure as to whether it's a scam?
Had a reply from Fair asking me to email them - another way for them to contact me for future scams!! I don't think I'll be doing that, I'll be sending their details to Report Fraud instead.

No mention of fee in letter
Just had letter re car finance. At no point in the letter or pamphlet does it mention any fee or charge!
Thanks you for the reply stating that the terms and conditions link was there but in my view the fee should be mentioned before starting to enter personal details.

Sending letters to dead people
This company have sent a letter about car finance to my dead Mom, who never provided them with her details and never had car finance. They are posting letters to our address and causing distress by doing so. It's disgusting they're using her name and address to send junk mail after her death.

Fair has been great
Fair has been great. As soon as I gave them my details they started investigating my loan claim. They have been giving me updates all the time as to the progress of the claim. Fully recommend Fair.
