Did you have a chance to use the learning app where we guide you step by step on how children can safely and confidently learn to swim with Fibby? In the app, we clearly emphasize that it’s essential for the child to let go of you when they feel confident, and never the other way around. This is a crucial part of the learning process we’ve developed because it helps children build the necessary skills at their own pace. I’d also like to point out that Fibby works differently from traditional swimming aids like floaties or vests. Did you perhaps use floaties or vests before switching to Fibby? These traditional aids allow children to passively float without needing to actively move, while Fibby encourages the development of essential swimming skills. Fibby positions children at an angle in the water, requiring them to use their arms and legs to stay afloat and balance themselves. This is a significant difference, as it actively teaches children how to handle themselves in the water, increasing their self-reliance.

It’s understandable that children, especially if they’re used to other aids, may need some time to adjust to Fibby. Some kids swim independently right away, while others need to build their confidence step by step. In this phase, it’s important that you, as a parent, project confidence and don’t let go too quickly, but rather challenge your child with the instructions and games in the app to swim more independently, focusing on growth, play, and enjoyment.

If you’re open to trying Fibby again, I would recommend playing a game from the learning app with your child and reassuring them that you won’t let go until they’re ready. This can help reduce fear and build confidence, making the learning process more enjoyable.
