Fido and Rogers are the worst
If I could give Fido a 0 rating I would. Was forced to moved to them when current company was bought out. Service progressively got worse and customer service was non-existent. Now that I'm with a better provider, I can't reach a customer service representative to get a refund of the last bill. My account has been closed for 3 months and no sign of getting my money back.
Never used the service
Never used the service. Took 3 weeks for the phone to arrive. You can’t call to speak with anyone. Finally spoke with them and they cancelled one line not the 2nd. By the time I realized and called back they refused to cancel the 2nd line. They are charging me for 2 months service I did not use. Never connected the phone.

When Incompetence meets ignorance you unfortunately got those kind of business.
First : they won't pay their workers ( driving all around the city , wasting time n gas ⛽).
Second : it's a "bubble gum" 🤢 business as they really don't know what they're doing.
Third : ELAINE (the lady) is simply an ignorant person. So much things she has to figure out.

Ive been trying to cancel my number because a business is advertising it on their website and I keep getting calls from random customers. Wouldn't do it in store. Did the callback request thing. Guy on callback said I can't cancel it cause my sister set it up for me. So she got a call back. They kept stalling and disconnecting the call on purpose multiple times then said they'll call back in 4 days.
Should’ve cancelled straight away
Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced with any company. They make it difficult to contact their team and when you do contact them, they will spend the entire time trying to upsell you or mislead you instead of solving your issue at hand. I was a customer with them for 3 years, I wish I cancelled after a month.

Fido is the worst service I've ever had the displeasure of signing up for. Customer service is an AI chatbot that is horribly unhelpful. Cancelling a service is made extremely difficult. Never ever ever sign up for this absolute BS.

horrific customer service, 99% (very bad) AI. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Charging for services they cannot provide. When disputed, promise to fix the issue and refund...instead continue to bill. Absolute nightmare.

Avoid. Do not give them your credit card, they will unjustly take fees that are not legit.
Overcharged and impossible to speak to anyone. They say they will call back, but unless you catch it, forget about speaking to anyone.
Even after contact, they dont acknowledge overcharging for roaming.
Preying on the Elderly
My 91-year-old grandmother has been trying to cancel her Fido phone plan for months, and the experience has been absolutely unacceptable.
It started when Fido called her and told her that her current phone was obsolete and they would send her a new phone free of charge. She was very clear that she did not want a contract, as she had not been on one before and, at her age, does not want that commitment. She was assured there would be no contract and the phone would be free.
Instead of a basic “dumb phone,” Fido sent her a smartphone she neither wanted nor knows how to use. When it arrived, the SIM card didn’t work. She tried calling multiple times to get a replacement, but the automated system and lack of real support frustrated her and she eventually gave up. She has now been paying for nearly a year for a phone she has never been able to use.
I eventually bought her a flip phone on my own Fido account (proving they can still provide them, despite what she was told) and tried to cancel her line. That turned into another nightmare:
You can’t just call to cancel; you have to schedule a callback.
When they finally called back, they told us we had to go in person to a Fido store and directed us to the Albion Mall location.
We went to Albion Mall on February 14th and were told they couldn’t cancel it, and that we had to go to the Yorkdale location.
I then went to Yorkdale, where they told me I had to call to cancel.
So after all that time, gas, and effort, we are back at square one. Meanwhile, Fido continues to take money every month from a 91-year-old woman for a service she cannot use due to a non-working SIM card that was never properly resolved.
To make things worse, we are now being told she owes $500 for the phone, despite being told it was free and that there would be no contract.
This is predatory, misleading, and frankly disgusting. Fido had no issue signing up a 91-year-old for something she didn’t understand, can’t use, and didn’t want, but every possible issue when it comes to fixing the problem or cancelling the service.
Do better, Fido.

I left Fido because the agent over the phone offered me a CPO phone, and later realized she made a mistake saying that the phone is not available with my plan. Canceled because what's the point, and I don't appreciate being wrongly informed, and didn't have a phone plan for weeks because of her mistake.
Very bad experience
Very bad experience, customer service representative refused to do what he was told, i.e. cancel the service. He hung up on us. Terrible attitude, lousy manners, bad business strategy. These people do not deserve to get Canadian customers, as their whole approach to business is radically different from what Canada needs.
Customer service could be improved
Customer service is frustrating. Robot "Ask Jack" near-useless. It is possible to book a telephone appointment to speak with a human although there could be a two-day wait time. An issue I had with website access was resolved but customer service is definitely an issue here. Mobile service itself has been satisfactory.

The worst company ever. No client support via chat or messages. Only calls with people from India, you even can't understand them because of their accent. No customer service during weekends. No refund policy.
I created an account by remotely, by mistake, online in October 2025. It wasn't activated the same day, so I just forgot about it and bought a phone number from another company. A few months later (2026 February) I've found a bill in my emails with Past due since October 2025. I called to the support and asked to close an account immediately, because I've never used it and I don't need their shitty service. However, they told me that the line can't be cancelled untill I pay all this amount, despite the fact that I've never used the service. I even can't make my accoun frozen. I don't have a phone number, I've never used it, but I have to pay? It looks like a robbery.
Total bullshit. 0 stars Even -10 stars. Even frauds have more honor than this shitty company.
Absolute nightmare
Signed up for what appeared to be a great offer. Talked to an agent to confirm that they can provide service in a remote area. Got the FIDO SIM sent by mail, which didn't work! Then found out Fido cannot provide ANY services in my area (remote Yukon)
Nevertheless- they charged me- even after admitting that they can't provide any services.
It is extremely difficult to talk to a real person.. everything is AI and very time consuming and extremely unhelpful.
Trying to get my wrongfully charged money back and talk to someone who actually knows what they are doing- and does what they are promising....
BTW their "ask Jack" AI is the worst and dumbest AI I have encountered so far.

Having multiple lines on one account is simply a nightmare. We have 7 lines on one bill as a family plan and I cannot get someone on the phone, in person, or via a live agent to simply transition a physical sim in my phone to an eSIM. In fact Fido is so ridiculous that they want a selfie and a piece of government ID to transition a SIM card in my phone to an eSIM in the same phone! Terrible customer service, terrible self serve tools and TERRIBLE COVERAGE. I would rather pay double the amount and go back to Rogers where they make a simple task easy to complete.
