Excellent service. Called out to an emergency blocked drain on Saturday morning with sewage backing up into the house and garden. Arrived within 2 hours and removed severe blockage through perseverance. Also discovered pipe had collapsed with endoscope camera. Jack was very polite and professional. No fuss.

Outstanding service. Polite and efficient throughout. Jack, the engineer to visit us was thoroughly professional and charming.

I contacted unblockers.net on a local number at around 8:00 in the morning to unblock my blocked waste stack. They booked First Local Services to attend. Had to check whether anyone would arrive as 5 hours later no one had arrived despite the promise of a 1 hour response time. First Local Services eventually arrived just after 5:00 in the evening. I told Tommy from FLS that the stack could be separated at the top by undoing the jubilee clips (as this had been done before) and the blockage could then be accessed and quickly cleared. Tommy informed me he didn’t have any ladders so couldn’t use this method.
After locating the correct manhole cover (in my neighbour’s front garden) I was told that a CCTV survey would be required and Tommy quoted £85. The CCTV survey showed us what we already knew, that there was a blockage. This was to be removed by high pressure water jet and the use of this was quoted as £79 per half hour. After the blockage was removed an extra half hour jet wash was advised for descaling. Tommy informed me that the CCTV survey had shown that the bath waste pipe was intruding into the stack and this was obstructing waste causing blockages. I did ask Tommy if he was sure this wasn’t the basin pipe which is above both the toilet waste pipe and the bath waste pipe (so couldn’t cause this blockage) and after asking my wife to run some bath water down the waste, water could be seen on the camera which is looking up the stack but it was difficult to tell if this was indeed from the protruding plastic pipe. I have since checked and the pipe that was seen on the camera is not the bath waste pipe as this plastic pipe does not connect directly to the stack but it is joined to a metal pipe that connects to the stack.
So, with all of the above charges plus £69/half hour for labour the total cost plus VAT (which was never mentioned until the bill was presented) was just shy of £460 for an hour! Anyone thinking of using FLS needs to be aware that they charge £165.60/hour for labour, £189.60/hour plant use and £102.00 for a CCTV survey (all inclusive of VAT which unless you’re a VAT-registered business you’ll have to pay).

They did a very good job at a reasonable price. Communication was good and each step of the procedure being carried out was fully explained as the work progressed. Tommy the engineer carrying out the work was very efficient and very customer friendly. He is a credit to the organisation.

I found Nathan a very professional person very polite knew exactly what he was doing and may an extremely good job of it. I would definitely recommend the firm.

There was a blocked drain in my elderly Dad's garden. I easily found First Local Services and called them. The engineer came within one hour, worked in the rain, kept us up to date with what he was doing and the costs.
He showed me the video of tree roots inside the drain once he had cleared the blockage and advised me of options to keep the drain working smoothly.
Brilliant, prompt, helpful, reasonably priced with no call out fee and informative. It wasn't the best film I've watched, or the cheapest but I found it interesting and reassuring. I would definitely recommend these guys.

No call out fee, clock stopped when had to go for a part to the shop.

James.g was an amazing person, he cleared a backed up drain in the dark and even climbed through a bush to do so. Good sense of humour and very polite. I would recommend him to anyone.

Lewis James Elliott was very good at this job. Told me what he will be doing and the cost involved. He worked for more than an hour and advised me that to avoid the problem in future, I need to do more work and gave me a quote of the cost. He was friendly and knowledgeable.

I had Jonathan come out yesterday to unblock the drainage in my upstairs bathroom. He was very considerate of my home, well-spoken, and right on time. I would highly recommend this company. I just Googled the nearest service, and they were extremely professional.

Alistair arrived on time and set to work on unblocking our drains. He showed me the issues and explained the options to fix the issues. He then fixed the issues by lining the joints that where miss aligned and had roots growing through them. The work was expensive but I think value for money as long as it doesn't happen again.

Fantastic service. Jack called to say he was on his way. Cleared the blockage within 30 mins. Cost was acceptable and not as much as I expected. Highly recommend this company.

We came back from holiday today to a really bad drain smell and a blocked drain. Rang First Local Services, based on Trustpilot reviews, and Mick T arrived at midday. The problem was much worse than we anticipated and involved clearing a run of drains which were badly blocked, putting a camera down etc. Mick kept us constantly informed of the extra time and cost needed to sort the problem, was very cheerful and friendly, and did a fantastic job! Would not hesitate to recommend the company.

Engineer, Jay, turned up on time, knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it, explained things very clearly and he was friendly and polite. Sorted the issue out very promptly. Five stars all round

First response should be called “ Amazing People Response” 😊So lovely to deal with from beginning to end, they were so unbelievably kind to my parents when they had a very stressful time with their blocked drain. Kieran was so helpful on the phone initially and contacted Jack ( the greatest name) to let him know a few extra details whilst he was on his way and Jack called me himself to put mine and their minds at rest that all would be well and it was !! Huge thank you’s from me and two very happy parents. Highly recommend.
