A disappointing experience
A disappointing experience. Still waiting for replacement knobs as arrived damaged
Hugely frustrating customer service and delivery. You are offered a choice of dates for delivery but the reality is they’ll deliver when convenient to them, no updates, and boxes are left on the doorstep which feels lazy, unnecessary and careless.
Furniture is nice but quite over priced.

I just read your review, and I am genuinely so sorry. Reading about your experience really saddened me, because leaving you feeling frustrated and ignored is the exact opposite of what we aim for.
First and foremost, I have just packaged up a brand new set of replacement knobs for you, and they are being dispatched today completely free of charge. You should not have had to wait this long to get the undamaged hardware you paid for.
I also completely agree with your frustration regarding the delivery. Offering a choice of delivery dates is completely useless if the courier simply ignores them, fails to send updates, and carelessly abandons the boxes on your doorstep. That is absolutely not the standard of service we expect from our delivery partners, and I am taking this up with them directly so it doesn't happen again.
I am glad you like the furniture itself, but I completely understand why the poor delivery and customer service experience made it feel like a letdown. We tried our best here, but we clearly missed the mark, and I am so sorry for that.
Please keep an eye out for the new knobs in the post, and let me know if there is anything else I can do to help make this right.

Wrong colour, a failed replacement, two missed collections and 30+ emails to get a refund
I ordered the Norway Dark Walnut King Size Bed Frame. Delivery was quick, but when I unpacked it the headboard was a different colour to the side rails. I'd just moved into a new place, so my partner and I were sleeping on the floor.
I reported it on 1 September. The next day I emailed four times before anyone replied. Once they did, a replacement was arranged. But it couldn't arrive before I left the country, so it was pushed back to the 10th. On the 10th I was told the standard delivery time was 3 to 5 days.
The replacement didn't fix the problem either. Before trying again, they asked me to send a photo of the carton label so they could confirm the colour. By then the box was gone, and I don't think a customer should have to tell a company what colour its own product is. A few days later they told me there were no Dark Walnut headboards left at all. They offered me Oak, or a different bed at 25% off.
At that point I asked for a full refund. I was asked to repack the frame in its original packaging, which I'd thrown away after two weeks of back and forth. I wrapped it myself and booked a day off work for the collection. DHL didn't turn up. They rebooked for the next day, and DHL didn't turn up again.
To be fair, Stephen in customer service was polite throughout, and they did offer partial refunds as goodwill gestures. But being polite doesn't fix the problem. Over 30 emails, multiple calls and nearly three weeks later, I still didn't have a bed in the right colour.
In the end I bought a bed from Happy Beds for half the price. It arrived within three days with no problems, and it's been brilliant. If you're looking at Fishe and Lilly, my advice is to check the reviews carefully and think twice. I won't be ordering from them again.

I am so sorry. You are completely right—being polite on my end does not make up for the fact that we failed at almost every single step of this process and left you sleeping on the floor for weeks.
To give you complete transparency: your review actually helped us uncover a severe labeling error in our warehouse, where different coloured bed components were being packed under the exact same barcode. We have since completely overhauled our warehouse labeling to fix this, but I am gutted that we did not catch it in time to prevent both your original order and your replacement from arriving mismatched.
It is completely unacceptable that you had to chase us for a reply, jump through hoops for a replacement, and take time off work only for DHL to fail to show up twice.
While it is hard to lose a customer, I am genuinely glad you found a great bed quickly with another company so you can finally get a proper night's sleep in your new home. I am truly sorry we let you down here, Jack.

Scandinavian Walnut Oslo Bedside Tables
I ordered two Scandinavian Walnut Oslo bedside tables. Ultimately I'm happy with the products which suit the room well. However, there was a big difference between the way they were packaged, with one being really well packaged with all the assembly tools in a neat bag with instructions and the other being more haphazard, with the assembly tools loose within the drawers. They came in two separate deliveries as well which makes me think they came from different warehouses or stocks? I'd order from the company again though.

To pull back the curtain on the two quirks you noticed: both tables actually left our Chorley warehouse at the exact same time, but we recently upgraded our courier service from DHL to DPD. During that system changeover, a few multi-box orders unfortunately ended up being split in transit, which explains the separate deliveries!
As for the packaging, you received units from two different production runs. We recently upgraded our internal packaging to include those neat hardware bags and better protection, which is why one box was pristine and the other had loose tools.
I am very sorry for the haphazard unboxing experience on that second table, but I'm thrilled the pieces themselves hit the mark. We'd absolutely love to welcome you back for your next room upgrade!

I had a very good experience buying…
I had a very good experience buying from Fishe & Lily. I initially ordered the wrong bedside table, and unfortunately, it didn’t fit in my room. I started the return process, and according to their policy, the delivery fee would be waived if I opted for store credit.
Unfortunately, the option wasn’t working properly on the portal, so I contacted customer service. Stephen was extremely helpful and guided me through the process, making sure I was able to return the item and receive the full amount as store credit. I was then able to reorder the correct bedside table with Stephen’s help.
The bedside table itself is excellent quality and made from proper wood, which I’m very happy with. Overall, I’m really pleased with both the product and the customer service. Stephen in particular was very helpful, responsive and made what could have been a frustrating return process very straightforward.
Would definitely recommend Fishe & Lily based on my experience.

Good products, once delivered correctly
I'll start with the positives: the furniture, once correctly delivered, is very nice. It's solid, and the design is exactly what we were looking for. If that weren't the case, we would have given up and sent the whole lot back considering the trouble it was to get the right items delivered!
Getting to that point was unfortunately a headache. The first delivery was days later than scheduled and, once they did arrive, one item was damaged and another was completely wrong! That left us having to return two of the three ordered items, on top of the second delivery.
This was a pain, as their customer service was frustrating to say the least! They were quick to apologise and make empty platitudes about how they would resolve it, with no actual actionable evidence unless hounded for it.
Scheduled deliveries were twice cancelled on the day, again with empty apologies. We were unable to work out whether the issue was with F&L or their courier AIT.
Overall, we're happy with the products, but the customer service and delivery logistics fell below expected standard.

Wright Oak Bedside Tables
The Wright Oak Bedside Tables arrived in good time and I was impressed by the very sturdy packaging. The only thing I had to do was to screw the legs on, which was very easy. The bedside tables are as described, true to colour and look great.

Unfortunately I wouldn’t shop here again
Unfortunately I wouldn’t order from here again. In both products received they had weird ‘extras’ packed inside - firstly a dead lizard which I know can’t be helped probably, and in the second packaging, some sort of tracking device battery. When it comes to the bedside tables I purchased, one had quite a few chips in the wood and was missing all 4 legs and the other had a chip and came with a wonky leg.
Customer service weren’t particularly helpful and just kept communicating the same thing and seemed like AI or a robot was doing the communication. I still haven’t received the missing legs or the very small 20% refund compensation that was offered. Overall, the experience wasn’t worth my time or money which is a shame as I had had my eye on these bedside tables for a few months and chose to go with these instead of another retailer.

Wright Oak Bedside Tables delivered to Northern Ireland
We ordered 2 Wright Oak Bedside Tables and I'm really pleased with what we received. The units were delivered to Northern Ireland for a small and very reasonable additional cost and were exceptionally well packaged. It took about 20 minutes to screw the legs on and all the tools were sent. The two units are very slightly different oak colours but they're not being seen side by side so I don't mind. They sit beside a La Redoute Quilda Oak bed frame and look really well. The drawers are easy to open and close, they fit books, notebooks, pens, creams etc but are just a bit to shallow for a Cryoglow LED mask so I've stored it in a basket below. All in all, great service from the customer service team, great product and I will happily buy from Fishe and Lilly again.

What you hope for from a small creative business.
I was looking for simple, lovely, effective design, of good quality oak. I was prepared to pay a lot but hoped for a reasonable price. The bedside tables I found at fisheandlilly were exactly what I wanted. Delivery was swift and there's nothing to say about packaging, etc. because there were no problems. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and would recommend anybody to give fisheandlilly a look.
