So far it was pretty simple to book my trip. I'm sure the fishing trip will be worth the money. Really looking forward

The charter boat captains can charge whatever they want and refuse to re-schedule, keeping any deposit. This was after the captain called to tell me that the time we booked and the number of people we were bringing would be too crowded to catch fish. It would be 'just a ride'. I did not want 'just a ride'. I cancelled and could not get a refund, even though the trip would not have been as advertised. Do not use this company.

I would avoid this company at all costs. They put the charter captains before customers. I had a trip coming up that had conflicting information about my booking time. I was 72 hours away from the trip. I immediately reached out to the captain, requesting clarification. The captain read my message immediately and never responded. I reached out to customer service requesting their help. They told me the trip was still on and told me
They would reach out to the captain. After 36 hours of reaching out to the captain (only 36 hours until my departure time), I still hadn’t heard from the captain. At this point I requested a cancellation and made alternative reservations so my family could go fishing on our vacation. Only then did the captain reach out, but it was too late. I lost any confidence I had in being on a boat with someone who couldn’t take two minutes to respond. The next morning (now 20 hours from the scheduled departure time) I get an email that my cancellation requested was reverted because “I agreed to continue with the trip”. This was a complete lie. Upon reviewing the pay structure of FishingBooker, it appears they only get money if you go on the charter. This is a conflict of interest as it doesn’t put the customer first. They want to ensure the charter takes place regardless of the level of customer service or safety of the guests. This appears consistent with other 1 star reviews with FishingBooker. I am now disputing the deposit charges with my credit card company and encourage others who have had issues to do the same.

First of all there is no customer service by phone .I WANTED TO CHANGE MY Boat because I realized there was no first mate and we wanted to go deep sea fishing That’s mainly why we came to islamorada. Finally figured out how to call.

Frustrating. Then we arrived and they said once we were onboard if we wanted to go offshore another 12 mi it was another 500 dollars for another 2 hours. Basically we went out to a spot and stayed in the same place the whole time. The singing real was a big boat but wouldn’t use its gas to do what we asked. When we got back about a few slips away another boat went 4 hours and caught tuna mahi mahi and more. The customer told me she signed up for 4 hours : we did catch yellowtale and learned a little bit about inshore fishing but this was a setup for naive people. Obviously we were upset . Later they told us they had to pay the fishing booker a lot of money. They seemed nice but it was a sham. The website itself is made to make money and make every captain pay and charge more. Never before has this been the case when we booked directly down here. Not again.

One other thing. Normal tipping is 20%. They asked me for 25% like it was part of the price. People who haven’t deep sea fished before wouldn’t know this. Beware of being scammed.

By the way in total this cost1350 for simple inshore fishing.

We set up an appointment for a boat captain to take some boys fishing for their birthday. The night before the captain sent me a location to wear to meet and never mentioned that it might be canceled due to high heat. She was completely unprofessional he has 5 star reviews and I wanted to leave a review to let future customers know that this could happen to them. The company refuses to let me leave a review because the boat captain canceled the trip. Bad practices all around very unprofessional. I do not recommend using them and will tell everybody to not use them and we'll leave reviews and comments anywhere i can.

I booked a trip 7.5 days in advance. The captain tried to change the time of trip, which would have meant more likelihood of a poor catch. Discussions rolled into the 7 day non-cancellation period by just a few hours, but neither the captain nor FishingBooker were willling to offer a full refund. Very poor customer service.

It was absolutely disappointing to pay a deposit and book a trip, plan the whole weekend around it because we were from out of town only to find out that the charter already had a trip planned.

Captain Steve and the first mate showed great expertise and knowledge of fishing in Alaska. Highly recommend them as an Alaskan charter fishing experience.

Do not use Fishing Booker. Terrible customer service and high fees. Much better to call the fishing captain directly.

I reached out to Fishing Booker, and they didn’t do anything to correct this, even after I shared voicemail & text message proof of a captain being aggressive after he cancelled last minute on us and still charged us $450. Do not give Fishing Booker any of your money.

The most important thing Fishing Booker did was keep me updated with the Cpt. Whenever I had questions! I did miss one of his important texts about starting at 3:30 a.m.. However, we ended up coming a little before our 4 a.m. start and the Cpt was not upset at all. Great fishing and fun for me it was my first charter!

I was reallllllllly disappointed with the service with the PR Tropical Charters trip I booked. I messaged the captain Gabriel Figueroa multiple times from the beginning of my booking and he never once responded to me. Then, when we got to the dock, I messaged him to figure out how to find his boat and within minutes he canceled my booking completely and said it was due to “mechanical failure.” Only when we walked up to where his boat was, he was loading other passengers for another trip. We had driven all the way to this city from where we were staying, and we left with nothing to do and wasted time. I found his lack of response and his last minute cancellation completely unprofessional and quite rude. My family was really looking forward to this activity and now it’s too late to book with anyone else. Soooooo disappointed!

Captain was excellent took time to instruct grandchildren how to use equipment and took us to excellent spots boat was exceptionally clean and equipped

Rocky was Amazing. He Wiggled his nose and made my booking go through in no time fast. He DESERVES 2 six month paid Vacation.

Captain Cody was great, friendly and also kid friendly. Great day and heputus on the fish.

Logan sheets is a very impressive guide for his age I highly recommend him . You will not be disappointed!

What made experience a 5 was Logan. I had written in 2 other times with no response from your side concerning catch pics.. I tried replying to one of your emails and Logan replied to it. I wanted the captain that I went out with to get the full value of my review, but he sent my pics to my account instead of my email. Logan asked for the booking numbers and saw to it that the captain got my email because I wasn't allowed to leave as a message from my account page. The system also denied me leaving my phone number as well. Anyway, Logan got my pics posted with my review of La Shina and Captain Veliz. I want to thank Logan very much for his help. Rocky did a good job understanding my concern and complaint with my recent booking charter. It seems I’m not getting a fair deal for what was requested by the captain. Hopefully this will get validated quickly as this fishing trip was for my future son-in-law on his wedding weekend.
