I had a problem with changing the battery. Could not remove the back of the 2nd Gen button. Contacted support and they were prompt and answered my question. They even provided a short video to resolve the issue.

I sent this email to the team at Flic because of the effort they put in fixing a bug in the IOS software.
I think that the words speak for themselves.
The bug in question was if you selected any advances feature to set it up the software crashed and you were left back at the main screen.

The hardware works as advertised but be careful and read the directions completely. I mislabelled my Flics and then they didn’t match what I expected in the app. Totally my fault. Tech Support was very helpful and helped me sort it all out and quickly too. They care, they support their products. I find one HUB LR covers my entire house which is great.

Really like this little button! I’m an older senior citizen and it took me a while to set everything up but now I think it’s the greatest! I’m using it with the “for score” app with sheet music. I’ve put 87 pages of an Easter Cantata on my Apple 12.9 iPad Pro and it easily turns the pages for me as I conduct the choir! I have it clipped to my coat and a single tap turns the page. Cool stuff!!!!
Would really like to find a black flic button so it doesn’t stand out too much when clipped to my tuxedo.

Terrible experience - ordered with free shipping, then a £50 bill arrived from FedEx for duties which were not made clear during the sales process. Will never purchase another product from this business.

Buyer beware
After watching a review of these online, I decided to take the plunge and buy, recognising that the UK is not part of the EU, but having bought plenty of stuff previously, I didn't really think much of it.
But now my £136 Flic package has come with a nearly £40 import bill, not impressed, and will never buy from them or recommend to anyone

Absolute scammers, I pledged support on their Kickstarter campaign where I agreed to a price and free shipping. They then charged me €20 for shipping and after my goods arrived I received a hefty FedEx duty bill. Before my goods were shipped I requested a refund on my pledge as they wanted to charge me shipping. This was refused. So I was literally at their mercy for any hidden fees and shipping costs with no option to cancel. They wanted nothing to do with it when I raised the duty bill with them, which I did not agree to or give my consent for (the goods were left outside my house and not signed for).
Stay away! Don’t trust these pirates.

After a recent review of my Kickstarter/Indiegogo campaign support of the ShortcutLabs/Flic.io product Flic Twist. I was advised by Flic.io to email their support email and to my surprise ended with the inability to deliver as the email box does not exist. Again the grift to take peoples money without any real resolution continues! Do not purchase from this company and hope to have any problem resolved! Purchase at your own risk as you may never receive the product.

I’m not sure how many stars to give, because I don’t know what’s happening with my order.
I purchased a button via flic.io on the evening of 2/2/24. I can see the charge against my bank account, but I haven’t received an order confirmation.
I’m hoping the flic.io staff will see this review and reach out to me.

Update: I got in touch with the company. We figured out what went wrong, and my order is on its way.

Flic buttons are already saving me so much time!

I use a lot of Alexa routines and used to start them using voice. But sometimes voice recognition doesn't work properly, or I can't talk... With Flic buttons, I can start routines instantly and silently. It's really great!

I'm looking forward to finding other use cases. But for now, just launching Alexa routines is more than enough to justify their purchase!

Not the quality you would hope for.

Right after the warranty was out, 6 of 8 buttons stopped working.
I have buttons from other brands that are working like a charm although they are older.

Avoid the Flic products unless you are ok with spending alot of money for a couple years of use.

Poor quality and I would not order again.

I was one of the early supporters of the Flic Twist project ok Kickstarter and I definitely regret it.
The project timeline has been delayed over a year, not a problem per se, but the communication throughout the development and delays has been awful, shady and misleading.
Although they claim that 85% of the few thousands Kickstarter preorders have been shipped now, mine hasn't yet. I have been asking for updates for weeks now, both publicly and privately, but all my requests have been simply ignored.

The inadequate ability of their customer care, the embarrassingly late go to market of their Flic Twist, the incredibly slow supply of small batches of products, the vast gap between advertised functionality of Twist and the reality of the substandard product shipped to customers (as seen on early YouTube reviews), the lack of transparency over some unexpected and expensive import duties in some countries, all points to clear signs of a failing organisation.

I would totally not put my trust in this company and their products.

Over 2 months and still not arrived.
I ordered the Flic button as a Christmas present on 7th Dec, paid £15 for delivery which is stated as 3-5 working days. Over 2 weeks later I still haven't had a delivery & I have been told by customer service that it will likely not be until the end of December! No apology, no refund of extortionate delivery fee. Avoid this company.
Update 20/02/2024 I still haven't received my order. I did get a tracking number and apparently it stayed in the FedEx depot for over 3 weeks and then mysteriously was on its way from Sweden again. I seriously doubt I will ever receive this order.

Company has sent the incorrect order, which is cheaper than what we paid for. We have said we'll keep this rather than wait for them to get round to posting the correct order, but expect a refund for the difference in cost.

They have completely blanked us and haven't responded to a single email regarding this issue, four days after initially raising a problem, despite replying almost immediately to our original emails (see below).

We will be reporting this company for scamming customers and stealing money, and will be arranging a chargeback through the bank.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are thieves and scammers.

The website was really easy to use and the team were great when I needed to redirect the order. Quick and personal response. Can’t fault customer service.

Can’t wait to get the product!

I backed the twist in October 2022,
Only just received this item.
To say its a massive let down is an understatement.
The twist is not what it was promised.
One lie after the other.
Extra for shipping after backing.
Limited integrations and feels like a beta model.
And to rub salt in the wound, they did not send what I ordered.
Expensive items not included in the shipment despite the shipping invoice included shows what should be in there.
500€ backed in to this company and they have the Audacity to not respond to backers who put a lot of money into this project.
There are better, more reliable and cheaper products on the market with much more flexibility, usability and integration compatability.

Waisted my time and money.
Money I will never get back even after selling on this garbage.

Flic owe me the missing item I ordered or my money back for this poor excuse of a project.

But with the lack of transparency, it'll more than likely result in legal action being filed.

Great product and amazing customer service!

Glitches Intermittent works when it feels like have had nothing but problems since I bought the flic 2 ...

The Flic buttons are great, fast response and multi use. Maybe the features could be expanded with options like double tap, triple tap, press and hold for dimming.

The Twist is also great, fast response and push and twist is great for settings scenes! Sometimes a Twist I use that is further away from the bridge needs a few seconds to connect before I can use it.

I had originally purchased the Flic2 buttons back in 2019 and had been very happy with those. I signed up for the Flic Twist back in late 2021 via Kickstarter. Like many projects on Kickstarter, it can take some time to get to the finish line and that was no exception with the Twist. However, the company behind Twist, Shortcut Labs, prides itself on exceptional customer-centric design, and as someone familiar with this process, getting things right can take time.

I just received my Flic Twist yesterday and have started to play around with it. So far, I'm incredibly impressed, both with the function, design, and tactile feel of the Twist. Since I have a ton of Alexa-powered lights and Sonos products, the hardest part will be figuring out what to automate, but once that is done, there is really nothing that Flic Twist and my Flic2 buttons can't do. I am actually giddy with excitement about the next couple of days setting up all of my Flic Twists that I ordered.

I wanted to also highlight their support team. Last week, once I learned that the Kickstarter rewards had begun to ship, I checked my shipping address that I had entered and realized I had made a big mistake in entering my address. I knew that the shipping information was locked and product was being shipped. I immediately contacted support. We were communicating at least twice a day to figure out what could be done. Since they were using a 3rd party shipper, there was essentially little that could be done. However, the support team didn't give up on me and figured out a way to update my shipping address even though it was technically not possible. That was last week and I now have my order. I was very happy with their support team.

As a superbacker with Kickstarter, I know it can be frustrating waiting 2 years for a product. But, great product development is extremely difficult and time-consuming. We as consumers typically don't experience this long timeline as we just buy stuff from stores. It is the nature of Kickstarter campaigns that new technology takes time and I hope nobody sees the reviews dinging them on the development time as a negative. I see that as a positive in that they will not release a product that doesn't meet their exacting standards for design.
