Love the buttons. Should’ve made the purchase sooner

Takes a little to get the functions to work. Once they are set up works very well. The help desk is a little lame and no phone support.

I bought the Flic2 buttons to use as a page turner for sheet music (organ) on my tablet. These work great and are very easy to use. The initial setup took a little bit to figure out, and I’ve had one time (years later) they randomly stopped connecting. But the support team has been so responsive and quick to provide help.

I want to mention out 2 Great experiences. First of all the Support was very responsive (within minutes) and helfend me a lot to solve the Problem withthe delivery service. So I was able to handover the product Flic Smart Button as a Birthday present. Also, the product itself is Great. Starting the iPad, connecting the Button, defining the actions in the hub was working without any problem. This is great and reinforced me to buy european products and not the crappy Chinese copies.

If you’re trying to make these work with HomeKit you need to get the most expensive base station they sell. Their website conveniently hides this fact by not really telling you the small mini hub doesn’t work with Apple HomeKit and I wasted money buying a 3-pack with the mini hub and couldn’t use it.

Otherwise the buttons are pretty rad and help me automate stuff around my home.

I recently bought a Flic Hub Mini. I only have one Flic button. I keep it on my nightstand to control my lights. I had been using the button with an iPhone but the iPhone broke so I instead bought a Flic Hub Mini. And it works great. So I would recommend it.

I recently had an issue where my Flic button stopped working properly, and despite trying to troubleshoot it myself, I couldn’t figure it out. I reached out to the Flic customer support team, and Uzoma got back to me very quickly—within a couple hours. Uzoma helped me identify the issue and provided a solution in less than 24 hours. I thought this problem might take days to resolve, but their quick, responsive, and helpful support exceeded my expectations. This experience has only strengthened my trust and appreciation for the Flic brand. Thank you Uzoma!

One of my Flic buttons developed a problem after 22 months usage. When I contacted the Flic team, they were very helpful. Once I described the issue, they posted me a new button, with no charge. The button was within the 24 months warranty period.

I like the reliability, the SDK and the Device Manager.

Too much complicated questions

Flic is well reviewed as the best manufacturer of smart buttons. After some diligent product research I bought 3 of their most advanced buttons (Flic Twist) and 3 advanced hubs to use with them. Only once they arrived did I discover that despite their misleading marketing copy, there is no API support for the Twists making them useless to me. Indeed their user support forums are full of users complaining about this problem for multiple years with only vague promises from the developers to look into it someday but that it was "too complicated" for them to deliver now.

Don't be deceived as I was, this product does not deliver what it promises.

Edit: Response to the Flic team - This page on your website (flic.io / flic-hub-sdk) is intentionally misleading. It should have a huge disclaimer saying something like, "The SDK is only compatible with flick buttons, the twist is not supported." That would be clear advertising of your capabilities, anything less is lying by omission.

Flic buttons and twist are great products fitting into my Apple home installation. The WAF (woman acceptance factor 😉) is really good. E.g. a button at the right place opens and closes our garage door without searching for the remote control. Another button switches the garden watering pump. The Twist is fixed on a metal leg of the table in the living room and allows to listen to the favorite radio station much quicker than with the smart phone. Certainly there always are ways to be improved. Nevertheless Flic has an impressive support.

Logged a ticket and had a very quick response - the outcome was above and beyond what I had expected. Thank you Flic!

I use my Gen 2 FLIC button to control my music on stage. It never misses! So easy to link in to whatever I need them to do. Best ever!

Love Flic! The app still has room for improvement, particularly with the Sonos integration. Aside from that, they offer great support if you encounter any issues with the device.

Devices are a great addition to my smart home. One of the components they sent me initially failed, but they spent time walking me through trouble shooting steps and then promptly sent a replacement.

I’ve used almost all of Flic’s products over the years, version 1, version 2, and the Flic Twist, plus all of their hubs. In general, I think their products are excellent overall, and they have just enough flexibility that I’ve been able to build some really great smart home setups by using basic tools like Web Requests with a separate Node-Red server to some amazing results.

My first-run version of the Flic Twist worked great, but was getting only two weeks of battery life versus the two years that are advertised. That was enough of a difference that I chose to reach out to support to ask about it. Throughout the whole conversation, they replied within 24 hours at all times, and I had a replacement Flic Twist in my hands within three business days of my first contact.

Great product, great service, and thanks to Flic/Shortcut Labs for everything!

Quick, friendly and helpfull customer service. I like my flics 1 and 2.

It took a little until the flic team answered but then they fixed my problem to my fullest satisfaction.

Unbelievable that after 1 year of a review being published Flic are now challenging it!

They know how they took backers money and did not deliver the goods promised on time.

They made promises after promises of delivery dates that they let their backers down on.

They now have someone new in PR who is trying to have reviews removed.

You know you didn’t deliver.

Just admit you did a bad job and let backers down.
