Not worth the money.

Not worth the money.

Pros:
- TONS of content
- Opportunity to meet other people and get to practice
- If you have a passion project you have been putting off, the "Magnum Opus" section of the program is a good forcing function to put pen to paper

Cons:
- TONS of content (if you haven any other job or are taking any other courses while taking this one, it is very difficult to get through all the material in 12 weeks – the required content you can make it through; I don't know if it's possible to make it through the bonus material if you have other comittments)
- No rigor. I now understand why the coaching market is saturated with mediocre coaches, because there are absolutely no checks/balances that we complete the course with any sense of how to *truly* coach (we are introduced to a concept, then sent off into unsupervised breakout rooms to practice)
- The Magnum Opus is loosely coupled with the course, so the deadline to complete it is just an anxiety cloud hanging over the whole time while trying to finish the rest of the coursework
- Too much $$$$ to do a predominantly self-led course

Overall the course felt much more amateur hour than some other coaching programs I have participated in.
No knock to the folks in the course who had never coached before, but as someone who has been coaching, it felt very 101 and I was looking for something much more advanced from a coaching rigor and cohort perspective.

Flow Coaching - Unlocking Business Potential

The FRC has produced a fantastic curriculum on coaching. It opened my eyes to the world of coaching, provided a clear approach to bringing more flow and was incredibly thoughtful in sharing exactly where the science lies on the subject. A massive value add for independent coaches as well as those looking to bring more flow into a business.

SCAM

They will spam you out of $4800 - master manipulators and fake information - make you feel important when all they are doing is cashing a check and putting you through minimal interaction setups.
The enrollment guy was hostile about forcing me to join and pay.

Clarity, Signaling and Group Flow for Leaders

The number of actionable insights that have delivered far more value than the expense in time or money is really impressive for me. As the CEO of an 8-figure business, I really benefited from the First Principle Thinking applied to success for myself, my team and my mission.

The high leverage benefits for me include:
1. Goal-stacking for improved prioritization of time and activity for me and my team
2. Digital Detox (my free attention for no news is astounding!)
3. Assembling My Avengers around how to ask for and find the team we need to succeed wildly.

The personal and team growth the Forever Dangerous program has engendered has already and will continue to pay dividends for years to come.

Grateful

If you want to tap into your consciousness and build an environment that intensifies focus like never before, then The Flow Research Collective is honestly life-changing. With support from coaches and like-minded folks, you’ll learn how to take care of your mind and health for optimal output in your career and passions. Eric was so amazing and got me looking forward to improving my life and tending to my “ikigai.” It’s definitely worth the investment if you are willing to put in a hundred percent of your effort.

Some good teachings, not worth the money

I got a lot out of the first few modules of the course: restructuring my phone and computer to allow for more flow and lower cognitive load, and listing out my values and removing activities that didn't coincide with those values.

However, in my experience, as the course progressed and the amount of domain-independent material accumulated, it became hard to make sense of it all and actually counter-productive.

Here were some of my specific issues:
- The material was somewhat contradictory across weeks...for example, there were modules about grit training and how to turn weaknesses into strengths, and then later in the course there were modules about finding your strengths and focusing your energies on those rather than weaknesses. I'd rather they just remove one of the modules for the sake of focus
- Every week you watch videos and then have a group coaching session. The action items and material from the group coaching session didn't always mirror the action items from the videos. For someone slavishly trying to follow these action items, you have two sets of TODOs every week. I'd rather the group coaching session be something separate from another slideshow + canned presentation that mostly rehashes the videos but also includes slightly different material.
- Numerous people in my cohort actually complained about the feeling of overwhelm, and the advice was "well the course is designed to be taken again!". People are not looking for another source of overwhelm, they're looking to streamline the overwhelm they are already dealing with.
- Vastly overstated the amount of networking you'd get from group coaching sessions.
- Price point is too high. Even if the course was well-executed, it probably should be 3-4k cheaper.

The only "productivity content" you will need

I started with Zero to Dangerous course and now am on the Forever Dangerous program. I would say Z2D was mostly about getting the definitive knowledge on what is the "correct" way to be productive. I can confidently ignore those productivity advice floating on the internet, as I now have a more thorough understanding of how our mind works and what it needs to succeed. The quality of the content is really unmatched. Well worth the investment.

For Forever Dangerous, it's less content but a lot of self-reflection. To be able to talk to a coach every other week for 6 months was tremendously helpful -- something I would probably have not signed up for myself if it hadn't been part of the program. I am ~5 months into the journey and I have somehow figured out my "purpose" or at least the starting point of it! The flow practices I learned from Z2D is solidifying as well. I have nothing to say except thank you to FRC and my coach Juli. They really have rewired my brain, and I look forward to continue my learning about flow, and hopefully coaching on flow in the future.

A comprehensive program

A lot of the information can be found around the internet or in books, but the comprehensive nature of the program helps drive it all home, and can help you design your environment to maximize flow, and have fun with it.

Concepts work only for those in proper mindset

First of all, not everyone is a writer or a snowboarder. Flow comes from other areas, spend more time there. Spend more time and review consistently the neurobiology thus "anyone " can do this. Lastly, maybe most important, I would screen people more thoroughly upfront before accepting them into a POD; they must be in the proper emotional/psychological state to take advantage of these concepts. I was not...too many stressors and lack of clarity left me at a huge disadvantage. I should have been filtered out and offered an alternative and more appropriate less expensive path forward.
