It worked for a moment then could not connect?
I have raised a support request several days ago.
I was passed to Foscam Direct in China. Was a challenge on email at first - miss understanding on both sides.
However using WhatsApp made the difference and was able to demonstrate the problem, a solution was sent that worked. So all is good now.

It doesn't work and not getting support to fix it!

I had a locator piece missing from a new SD2 Camera.
Jay said they'd try and locate one for me, after a few weeks I posted that I was still waiting to hear from them.
I was a bit premature, eventually Jay located one and sent it out to me. That is going beyond what I'd expected, Well done Jay and the team, I'm so grateful.

I've not needed tech support often but when contacted Foscam tech support the response is often same day, always in 24hrs even at weekends, there's personal engagement with a knowledgeable friendly person who tells me how to solve the query or issue. Just 100%, and the issue always gets solved. I wish every IT vendor helpdesk was this good.

2 and cameras will not record on my nvr my other 3 do but my last 2 but after long email they came back and sorted the problem thank you but it would be good if you did answer the phone to take orders as I do need to update nvr and 1 more camera

I have 8 Foscam cameras on the Foscam VMS. Had problems connecting to one outside the LAN. Sam from tech support sorted it out over the web chat via the website. Couldnt have had better service. Many thanks

I have bought three Foscam cameras over the past 18 months, two X5 and a C5M. I am very pleased with the actual cameras but the 5v USB power supplies that ship with the X5s are unreliable. Both the X5 power supplies have failed, one only lasting three weeks. I reached out to Foscam UK but had not received a response. I also reached out to foscam.com who were very apologetic but said I had to deal with the UK distributor foscam.uk.com. I have purchased replacement 5v power supplies so my cameras are working again but was frustrated not to get a response from Foscam UK so left a two star review.
UPDATE:- Within a few minutes of leaving my review, Jay from Foscam UK made contact; he had just found my emails in his spam folder. He was very apologetic and we agreed it was worth returning the failed power supplies for forensic examination. Jay is also sending me two replacement power supplies that are a different model to that shipped with the cameras. I have upgraded my review to 4 stars, the cameras are excellent, the powers supplies not as good, the customer service also very good provided the email doesn't land in the spam folder.

Addendum: Sam - no, the matter wasn't resolved and contact only happened 24 hours after posting a 1 star review on here. There was no response to the initial customer service email.

The camera was returned and refunded because even Foscam UK couldn't source a working X5 V2 model (all V1 don't work properly...and yet Foscam still try to sell them). The best they could offer was a small discount on a more expensive camera I didn't want or need. Even the refund on cloud storage had a chunk taken off for the period when I couldn't even use the camera.

Save your money and go with a different platform.

Jay was kind, probably due to the fact that he was getting a sale, the minute the transaction went through, I mentioned that I wanted to refund because I don’t necessarily need the license anymore.

Goes full ghost and doesn’t reply to anything, I can’t speak for others, but be cautious with this business, terrible aftercare, may as well go to one of their competitors

Edit: Yes that makes sense, you don’t offer refunds for licenses, but you don’t ignore your customers after the transaction, what’s also ironic is the fact that I bought this 3+ months ago and you’re just now replying to the review

When a tiny component of your recorder breaks, you have to throw away the entire set including all purchased camera's.

I had recorder FN7104W NVR with 4 camera's F19900W. Due to a power outage (which can happen to anyone) the recorder boot drive was corrupted (it does not boot the OS anymore, but the device is not broken). This should be an easy fix. The company cannot fix this or does not want to invest in fixing this. I was just a few months out of warranty.

They advised me to get rid of the entire set and purchase a new recorder with new camera's. The old model cannot be purchased anymore and my camera's only work with that specific recorder (not compatible with any other model)

The set seems to work fine. But keep in mind that you may only use it durnig your warranty period. Models often change and they cannot fix their stuff. Camera's are not compatible with other models of recorder. Without the recorder my camera's are useless.

cant log into account - account blocked so cant reset password. Out of frustration gave a 1* review. Got a call from Foscam explaining that the cameras connect to the app or pc VMS but there is no web connection. Trying to connect to Foscam UK using the Foscam account that the cameras use will not work. Be good if this situation could be better explained instead of just blocking any attempt to log into the account. But the cameras connect fine to the app and VMS and that process was easy and worked well.

Jay was wonderful helping me with a issue with camera's. Had Foscam for years love them shame they do not do clip with basic cloud service and not sure that the AI is working correctly..

Support is good but sometimes frustrating and difficult to access with delays, but issues were always resolved. My feeling is that the organisation needs to place more resource in the support area which would improve the customer experience.

This review is about the purchasing experience. Not much to say as it all worked very well. I recently bought 3 Foscam cameras online and these were all separate orders at intervals. The fact I bought the second and third camera was because the product (SD8EP) Was excellent. On each of the 3 orders everything was smooth and efficient with delivery in 2 to 4 working days. Cameras working perfectly on LAN.

Pretty easy setup, including connecting to wifi, but needed assistance for getting camera recognised.
Chat assistance was excellent and got me sorted quickly.
Interface easy to use, great picture clarity, sleep mode easy to engage.
Renewal pricing of cloud recordings confusing.
Generally happy.

The agent was very helpful and resolved my problem with order placed very efficiently.

The item I ordered didn’t work and I’ve contacted them about returning it for a refund but had no response. Not impressed.

This is the third Foscam that I have purchased. This PTZ wireless camera with auto tracking is ideal and easy to install and set up.
