Best smelling detergent ever!
Best smelling detergent ever! The warm scent lasts for a long time and it even de-stinks my running clothes! I donât want my clothes and sheets to smell like anything other than Frey.

Fragrance fizzle
I began using Frey detergent because of the outstanding fragrance. It lingered and wafted everywhere. People constantly complimented my clothes and I was able to cut back on cologne because I preferred this fragrance. I tucked dryer sheets in the closets and in lamp shades as a coordinating room deodorizer. The cedar amber sandalwood was my signature fragrance. Then a couple years ago the formulation seemed to change. It became weaker and not as dazzling. It became just another laundry detergent that could just as easily be picked up at a box store, no longer an indulgence worth special ordering. This is what dropped my rating from 5+ to 3.

Order delays and excuses
I placed my order on 11/29/21 to give as Christmas Gifts. On 12/22/21 I had not received my order or any status communications. I received a response to my email stating the was a shortage of detergents and they would ship as soon as possible. On 12/29 they let me know they got a new shipment of detergents and fulfillment was working on the back orders. (Keep in mind I now had to go out and buy new gifts for family since we are past Christmas). On 1/7 I get a notification of the mailing label being created and on 1/13 customer service emails my order has been fulfilled - I will have it shortly. And yes - this is almost 1 week after the shipping label was created. I responded back asking why the label was created on 1/7 and they say my order has shipped but the tracking shows USPS awaiting shipment. Of course I get more excuses in the response- this happens sometimes when the post office fails to scan the order in but rest assured I will have it soon. So on 1/23 I get another email stating my shipment apparently was lost between fulfillment and shipping, and to please confirm my address. This is ridiculous service - charged my credit card on 11/29 and for two months I had nothing but excuses, no consideration or an ounce of empathy for my having to spend more money for gifts or the fact I had to initiate a conversation on the status of my order, and no sense of urgency to resolve my complaints. To top it off - this is not the first time this has happened with my order - but I gave them the benefit of doubt. But no more - full refund requested and will not do business with them again. Poor customer service and poor business practices.

The products are exactly as advertised. The scent is addictive, fresh, and clean. I refer to everyone. The staff is very professional upon asking questions or having concerns. Iâm very pleased all the way around.

Quite frequently I've had folks actually lean in close to sniff my clothes. Its pretty funny when you catch them. Most folks want to know what type of cologne I'm wearing. Quite a few people don't believe my Laundry Detergent smells so good...

I cannot us any other detergent!
The product is wonderful- we cannot go back to regular detergent, I mean-- what would we smell like?
My only complaint is faulty pumps on the bottles-- they work about 50-75% of the time. We subscribe, though, so we just switch them, but it's frustrating! I also wish these came in bigger bottles as we are a family of 5 with LOTS of laundry and we go through so many bottles.
Learned a valuable lesson
I liked this stuff, in the beginning. Albeit, expensive for detergent. When I ordered a second round, the scent was different. Same bottle, same label, different detergent. Very vague email reply. It wasn't bad, so I kept it.
By the time I made it to the second bottle, the scent was bad. Explanation: "we use natural oils so they may change." I replied, "Over 6 months in a closet?" I have not heard back. Sent another email with screenshot of previous email. Nothing.
I also still have maybe a loads worth of the original bottle. It's been 5 years and it still smells exactly the same. How, odd.
Great product but too expensive.

It took a BBB complaint to get removed from their mailing list, even longer to get a refund for a subscription that they hid. Buyer beware.

Wow, I'm so glad I found FREY! Their scents are out of this world, and I am in love. I am also excited about all the new products coming out, especially the new detergent sheets!
I have had issues in the past with delays, etc., but after contacting (great customer service) Frey, they resolved the issue for me. I am a subscriber, so I don't have to remember to re-order. They send me a notice and I am able to change (if I want to try something new) to different products before the cut-off date.
Bonus-they plant trees for every order AND their products are natural and toxin-free!
I liked the premise, but not the service.
I liked the premise, but both orders leaked all over the packaging, causing considerable loss of product. Response to my complaints was slow & rather than pay shipping to return the remainder, the company wanted photos of everything. The problem was I had already cleaned up the mess (who wants that all over their kitchen?), so I had no proof. So I lost money, but they lost a customer.

Not what it used to be
I've enjoyed Frey for just over 3 years now. Absolutely love the scent for my laundry detergent that I purchased just about every product offering they have released. Literally have spent a couple hundred dollars at this point. There definitely has been changes to the formulas and size reductions, but I've been pretty loyal and stocked up with what I can. However, the struggle has been receiving the product. There has been delay after delay, and understandably, I've allowed extra time due to global 'supply chain' issues... but it has come to a point where on a few occasions, I reached out to customer service and it has been the same 'canned' response - 'Thanks for your patience, it's on its way.' At what point after 10 weeks of "it's on its way" does it actually arrive...? Who knows. If you have time to wait for your order, great! If you don't enjoy fronting a premium for products, then maybe reconsider pushing that order button.
