We ordered a sofa back in january, paid in full on the day with the understanding it would be delivered 27th march (due to us moving houses), the day before delivery i recieved a call stating our sofa is not in stock. And the best we could get was the show room piece from market harborough (argued we paid full price and fobbed off with a show room piece) at this they offered a 5% refund and it would be delivered ASAP fast forward 3 WEEKS of being fobbed of constantly by customer service i decided to return to the melton store (cannot fault Jack at all he was shocked at the mess of things and has tried to help) we decided to go for another sofa in hopes for a faster delivery it got clearance as there was 7 in stock and the sofa was to be delivered the next day at 7am, waited around all day and guess what no sofa, contacted customer service again and they apologised said it would be delivered tomorrow, well that day came and again no delivery, another phone call to customer service and get this, this sofa is also out of stock and they are going to go with our previous sofa as its easier to get from market harborough....still no delivery date with 3 weeks of my family having to sit on the floor because they cant seem to handle their business correctly but had no problems taking my money...like majority of the reviews on here approach with caution you will probably end up waiting months for your purchases. I personally will never use this company again

We may have to consider contacting the police as this could be a scam? Not saying that it is a scam, but we are minus £1000 with no wardrobe after 4 months. Avoid.

Please don't waste time with these people , we bought three items from the melton branch on 23rd Jan 2026.
Staff where very nice but it all ends once money is passed over. Told originally that furniture was in stock and would be with us in a few days.
Then got a call saying furniture not in stock, but would be with us in a few weeks. As we had already sold our own furniture so we complained that we could not wait weeks. Got a call back to say they had suddenly found two parts of our order and would send them in a few days. The furniture did arrive and I imagine someone else had to wait. The doors were out of line but I put them right myself to save returning them. I rang customer services today as they promised the last item would be here by 31st March, so rang to check if everything still on schedule, but told it is now going to be 19th April. No email or contact about this so do not believe a thing these people in the shops tell you, and be prepared for long delays no matter what they say. I wonder how many of these customer are thinking of writing to Ripoff Britain as I am.

Date arranged when checked day before delivery told they had no record of delivery being booked. Another date arranged as before checked the day before to be told they cannot deliver as only my furniture booked so will have to wait until they have more deliveries in my area but couldn't say how long I will have to wait. At that point told them to cancel the order and refund my money. Agreed to cancel and will refer to a supervisor to authorise the refund. That was two weeks ago still waiting for the refund. Horrible company
Horrible company. We traveled to Peterborough after visiting the Rushden site to find the bench we needed as we were told they had it in stock. When we got there we were told they have it upstairs in the warehouse so we brought the item taking their word that they had it and that we could take it the same day. We parted with our money then drove around to the collection bay to be stood in the freezing for ages only to then be told they couldnât give it to us as it was damaged. We thought this was fair enough as they offered to get another shipped from the Corby site to us. This was on the 18th of February. 16 phone calls later, we were first told the item was now with them but they couldnât seem to send it out to us and couldnât tell us why. Customer services were no help at all. They said they need to speak to the shop manager, no calls returned, and then when I asked for a refund because clearly they had lied as the bench was never infact there with them (I was later told this) I was then told they need to speak to the director to authorise this. I am still waiting for a call back and they just donât help me at all! They have taken my money and are refusing to help or provide me with the product I have paid for. I would not recommend this company at all if you are ordering something. If you buy an item make sure you physically see it first and donât take their word that they have it upstairs in their warehouse! Disgusted and furious! Will never shop here again.

Ordered a chair from the MarketâŠ
Ordered a chair from the Market Harborough store. Was told there would be a 4-6 week delivery wait. Chased after week 4, 5 & 6. After week 6 informed them I wanted a refund as the delivery was outside the agreed timescales and was getting ridiculous. Was informed item was bespoke and couldnât be cancelled.
Informed the store that at no time and nowhere on my receipt did it state bespoke and therefore a refund was due as per my consumer rights to which they refused. (I threatened a chargeback on my credit card for non-received goods).
Week 7 they have NOW cancelled my order as they still donât have a delivery date⊠shocking service and feel sorry for the store staff having to deal with the disappointed customers.
I DONT RECCCOMEND BUYING FROM HERE.
Terrible online experience; Avoid.
After visiting a local showroom, we chose a few items and later ordered online. This order was placed and confirmed in November, anticipating a December delivery for two items out of stock. Although expectations were well managed at first, this has now been an endless game of calling customer services with 'stock due at the end of the month' through January, February and now into March. I cannot fault how polite the Customer Services team have been as this is a clear inventory and systems issue, however I cannot stress that the customer journey has been absolutely abysmal.
Final straw has been a refund request; We opted to cancel one item as it was found in stock elsewhere, which promptly arrived within a few days. The refund processed however was incorrect, cancelling the items we wished to hold out for.
In summary, buy with caution. Complaints and requests for information go unanswered unless calling with no firm resolution or escalation available. We accept things go wrong, however in this instance nothing has gone well. Avoid.
Absolutely shocking customer service
We ordered 2 sofas last July (2025). They were delivered in September but with the wrong cushions. After several calls we eventually got 2 of the correct cushions but after months of chasing and promised call backs which were never followed up, we still havenât received the outstanding cushions. This is customer service on an unprecedentedly poor level! Iâve given up now.

Orderd furniture February 2025, told 15 weeks to wait. It's almost 12 months and it still has not arrived. Communication is poor, the show room try to fob you off to customer services and customer services do the same. Spoken to the manager Simon who also promised to keep in touch but never did. They told us there was a mix up with the order which worked for a couple of months. Then the furniture was stuck in Vietnam. 12 months and still no furniture. They did offer a 12 percent reduction in the price which was a token gesture, but still no furniture. If they would just tell the truth and stop taking peoples money knowing they cannot keep their promise to deliver the furniture. I WOULD URGE PEOPLE TO THINK TWICE ABOUT GOING SHOPPING HERE. THE SHOP AND SALES PATTER IS GREAT BUT YOU WILL HAVE BETTER LUCK THAN ME IF YOU GET YOUR FURNITURE.
They also never responded to emails.
Shocking Customer Service and Lengthy delivery times
Ordered in May and was advised that delivery would be by July. Got towards the end of July and no communication from them. I called and was told I would get a call back with an update ( no call back ) I called again and I was passed to someone else to then be informed that the furniture was not due in stock until November - what a joke!! I asked for a refund as I was not willing to wait a further 4 months with dining furniture. They tried to offer me white glove treatment on delivery by way of an apology, even a partial refund but still wouldn't give me the furniture I was waiting for. I insisted on the refund and was asked to give them some time to see if they were able to deliver any sooner. I reluctantly agreed and was called back with an offer of delivery within 7-12 days. I accepted this as ultimately I would probably wait that long if ordering from elsewhere. Two weeks passed and again no communication. Called with no positive results, visited the store, again with no positive results. Requested the refund again at that point and surprisingly then they were able to confirm a delivery date.
Delivery arrived and guess what !! Wrong colour dining chairs. I was old to keep them for now while they arranged an exchange for the correct chairs. One month and nothing, two months and nothing, calls, visits to store and nothing. Finally after 20+ phone calls, promises to call back not received I finally received the correct chairs 2nd week in December. Shocking service. They had my money since May and no attempts it seems to resolve the issue.
Would I buy again?? Never. I would avoid at all costs.
Delivery service is a joke
Delivery service is a joke. Booked for a Saturday a week ago and it was cancelled without us being told. Was re booked again for today and came up on tracker you are next drop then the driver got further and further away. Rang to be told the goods weren't loaded. Up from 6am to be let down fir xmas. Asked for a refund and compensation for the lies.

Orderd a two & three seater sofa from Furniture warehouse Peterborough on 11/06/25. To say that we are completely disgusted at the way we have been treated!! We were given a 4/6 week delivery slot. We waited and waited for our furniture to arrive and to our disappointment! It never arrived within our said time frame. I contacted the store manager Graham to get an update and he was just feeding me complete and utter rubbish!! One lie after another. He told me that the reason for the sofas being delayed was because furniture warehouse have to hire a van from a private company ?? Then I was fed a story that once AGAIN!! We would NOT be receiving our sofas because âApparentlyâ the van broke downâŠ. VAN??
Surely a hire van company has a fleet of vans not just ONE van? We have NOW had to wait eight weeks for our sofas. I have taken it upon myself to call the store on several occasions to get an update as to where my sofas were and am absolutely disgusted at the fact that the store never contacted us not even once to give us an update. To this day we havenât even had an apology from the store manager. These people are very quick to grab our money buy not supply the goods as promised. I urge anyone wanting to purchase anything from Furniture Warehouse Peterborough!! Please do yourselves a favour! Dont bother. Give them a wide birth. In the eight weeks that we had to wait for our sofas there was absolutely NO communication or customer service from the storeâŠ.. disgusting!!!!
