Gas-Elec did a fantastic job installing a new gas boiler at our property to replace our old oil boiler. Initially a Gas-Elec engineer came to our property to assess what heating options would be available to us and how economical each solution would be so we could make an informed choice to replace our oil heating system. Once we decided that a gas system was the best solution for us, their 2 installers worked extremely hard over a weekend to fit the new combi-boiler as well as install new radiators. They were incredibly efficient, polite, tidied up after themselves and clearly took a lot of pride in their work. A few weeks later another Gas-Elec engineer came out to install the Hive system which now means we can control our new heating system from anywhere through our phones. We have noticed the benefits immediately as the house gets warmer quicker and stays warmer for longer. The old hot and cold water tanks were removed by Gas-Elec giving us more space in the loft and airing cupboard. We are delighted with the results and would really recommend them. Gary McGowan informed us when he would arrive. He came as he said and immediately set to work. He quickly found the problem and put it right. He was very polite and pleasant and explained what he had done.
We were very pleased with his visit.

During my yearly Gas Safety Check, engineer Denis found a fault with my gas hob. Denis checked the boiler, radiators, alarms and hob. The hob was replaced after a couple of weeks and the new hob is working great. Denis was focused and efficient in all aspects of the safety checks in my home and I certainly could not fault him. Thank you Denis for keeping us safe! Thank you to Vicki and Andrea from gas-elec Group for being pleasant and attentive during our calls.

Awful and scary experience with this company.
Completely incompetent.
They didn't turn up for annual gas/elec check three times in a row without any explanation or call.
When they finally did attend they marked the boiler as immediate danger and I overheard someone in the office telling the engineer over the phone to "leg it".

Boiler replacement was a similar fiasco including admissions that the engineers hadn't even looked at the boiler properly.

Very rude, very incompetent, very big time wasters.

Avoid like the plague.

Unfortunately for me I had no choice in the matter as my landlord chose them.

First time with this company. A bit slow to respond to annual service request via Sedgewick but was most impressed with the engineer who arrived well within the time slot quoted. Very thorough and a pleasure to deal with Mr. Turner.

Scheduling an appointment was difficult because of my working hours, but we made it work after many emails going back and forth, I appreciate their patience.
Mike, the engineer texted me the day before the appointment and provided me with a time he would arrive. That was great as I could schedule my day around it. He was on time, did an electrical inspection, he was very respectful and friendly. A proper professional with visible knowledge and interest in his job.
Good communication, punctual.

After missing the previous weeks appointment with no communication I had to contact myself to find out what was going on. the engineer arrived for the rebooked appointment on time very competent chap explained all the service emission results to us

Marcus Trevor was lovely and a brilliant gas inspector.

Engineer was booked online which meant when I needed to change the agreed date it caused many emails. This was eh wonky problem for me. The engineer, Marcus, was excellent and very thorough with his work. Very impressed.

Unfortunately had numerous problems with this company the landlord uses,

Done 3 years of passing then failed on a pipe that somehow passed 3 times, had to sign a form to keep the boiler running.

Recently missed appointments being changed left right and centre not being funny cannot expect people to wait a full day sat at home & they charged a fee if I was to do the same.

Boiler booked in for a service and gas safety check to be told they don't carry the part when this is the job they've come to do 🤷🏻‍♂️. So they have cancelled the service and now request in the landlord to rebook.

Customer service was also poor when questioned

I personally wouldn't be booking with these more hassle than it's worth.

Gary McGowan attended my property today for my gas check, he had messaged me the day before to make sure that the appointment was still convenient and he gave me a time to come which was great as I didn’t have to wait in all day , he was friendly and professional during his visit would definitely recommend him

Denis is courteous and professional. His second visit here to carryout remedial work which he identified on first occasion. His approach is friendly and informative.

Denis was great. He was booked in for a gas safety visit but in carrying this out he found a problem. He really went out of his way to make sure the issue was fixed the same day. Very polite and well mannered. Cleaned up after himself. Explained in a clear manner what he had done and why.
