As with most insurance companies, AKKO required documentation for the claim. I could not locate one of the documents requested. The adjuster was willing to work with me with regard to a missing document. He was certainly under no obligation to do so. I suggest this speaks highly for this company and I will continue to ensure with it.

OMG!! AKKO just replaced my S23+ screen with an original OEM screen replacement for only $29 out of pocket.. Pretty great! AKKO works completely off of messaging, so you can't call their support team. However, messaging their team was seamless and really easy. They gave me money when my phone was busted and I was able to choose any phone I want! Really easy.

Had a great experience using AKKO to repair my iPhone which had a charging port problem. After uploading my claim video late at night, it was approved the next morning. Got the repair done at the Apple Store and just submitted my receipt and received the reimbursement instantly via Venmo. Highly recommend.

After having AppleCare for years I was truly surprised by how poor the service was when I tried to get an issue addressed with AKKO.

My iPhone 15 screen became detached so I filed a claim. There were a series of requirements, including that I take the phone in to a local repair shop and ask them to write up a repair estimate. Ultimately the local shop reattached the screen for free.

A month later, the phone failed completely. I contacted AKKO about filing a claim. They insisted that I could not file a claim until I obtained documentation of the repair work to address the previous issue (which they did nothing to address) so that they could tell the new issue wasn’t related to the previous issue. I’m guessing they will insist on another estimate when the new claim is filed, then lead me through more weeks of hoops.

I regret paying for this insurance in advance and would never use this company again. Their service was so slow and complicated I had to buy another phone to maintain cell availability.

AKKO genuinely came through for me when my MacBook was damaged during a typhoon in Asia. My backpack became completely soaked, and after taking the laptop to a local Apple Store in China, I submitted my claim while still dealing with the stress of travelling abroad.

The process was surprisingly straightforward, and I received my payout within only a few days. I especially appreciated that the team did not create unnecessary obstacles over minor details like other insurances may do, such as the Apple report being written in a foreign language. Everyone I dealt with was thoughtful, practical, and helpful.

Akko is very efficient and worth it. I was able to get AppleCare+ service quality for a fraction of the price. For Apple Store repairs, they offer a pre-service payment and give you the funds so you don’t pay out of pocket. Customer service is also responsive. Overall, I’d recommend everyone to get Akko!

I insured by Samsung Flip4 with Akko. After it developed a technical problem, I initiated a claim. According to repair shops I contacted, the technical problem was not amenable to a repair and required replacement.

It was a bit of a hassle at first, as I had to go to a repair facility where I told them about the problem I was having - they told me what they said on the phone (couldn't be repaired) and then wrote a letter to Akko stating this. In my opinion, there was no need for me to make the trip to the repair facility as nothing more than words were exchanged.

After receiving the letter, Akko promptly authorized a payment to me for the phone that I believe was fair. I then had 30 days to obtain a replacement phone and then return the defective phone to Akko.

Unfortunately, during the replacement process I received two defective phones (from vendors not associated with Akko). At this point I decided to order a newer-model phone. That worked and I returned the defective phone to Akko with no hassle.

When I went to register the newer-model phone with Akko, I was notified that there would be an additional charge for the insurance. I decided that I did not want to pay the higher charge for the insurance.

I then contacted Akko and asked to cancel my policy and receive a refund for the unused portion of the insurance.

To my pleasant surprise, this request was granted with no hassle!

Based on my experience, I would recommend Akko to anyone who sees a good value for the price that is being offered.

Great customer support. Easy claim submission . Only $50 per year for an iPhone coverage per year.

The company either a scam with large number of fake 5* reviews or they went out of business so be warned, you are not getting your phone repaired with them. Today marks a whole week since I have filed a claim, uploaded the video evidence, and sitting waiting for them to get back to me despite promising someone be in touch within 12 hours. Then finally someone answered me in the chat when I asked if anyone there, are they operational, but they only responded with the confirmation that they are and continued to ignore any claim update questions. So I don’t know what to call it.

They made the claim process super simple and easy. It was so easy to get my device replaced after getting it stolen, and they walked me through the process step by step. When it time came for payment they paid me via venmo in less than 10 mins, wow! I am beyond impressed with their speed of service and customer service in general.
