Wow!
I had no idea you could claim Stamp Duty back until I saw a leaflet through the door of the property I had just bought from auction.
I was cynical at first, phoned the number for some assurance, filled the forms in and gave as much examples and evidence as I could. Sent them off and less than 5 weeks later got a payment of over £2,700!
Still can't believe it, but would certainly use them again as I have bought similar property over the years.
Its a no brainer!

Get My Tax was referred to me by a friend. At first I wasn't quite sure if there was a catch or if I would qualify. However, when I spoke with GMT they couldn't have been more helpful. Recently purchased a probate property due to it being under market value with potential for a decent profit. After the project was completed I contacted Get My Tax to discuss if we could get any stamp duty back as I had previously heard from my solicitor that this can be the case but was not able to do so at the time of purchase. I initially contacted two companies regarding a potential refund of my SDLT that I had overpaid on a property with major subsidence and no water, gas, electric.

I chose get my tax even though they had a slightly higher rate as I personally felt they were more professional from the initial phone call conversation.
The team were clear and open about the service and even provided details regarding the 9 month review timescale.

After me failing to access my documents as I had seemed to have lost them, the staff at get my tax went above and beyond and worked along side my solicitor to get the required documents.

Unbelievably I received £16k back in around 3 months.
I would just like to say thank you as I would have not had this without the company!

Received their leaflet by post. It seemed too good to be true, so spoke with our solicitor who did the research. Our solicitor advises that this is a major SCAM.

HMRC does initially pay, however it has not yet done the checks. In around 18 months, when HMRC have completed their checks, realizes there is a discrepancy, and demands the money back. Our solicitors research revealed that these companies set up and “fold” within a year.

This company was set up in November 2022. All reviews are made in 2023.

I noticed the advert for the stamp duty rebate using GetMyTax on instagram. I contacted them for more information as I never knew you could get a rebate for a run down property. After a phone call I decided to give it a go. I received quite a substantial amount of my stamp duty tax paid back. Would use this company again and have already recommended them to my sister who should also be owed a rebate.

Very good service and came up with the desired result. My only recommendation to them is be more upfront with your % of the deal. I didn’t mind you taken the deserved % (ie 27% + VAT) but that was disclosed upfront. It wouldn’t have put me off but I felt letting me know post outcome was a little frustrating. Regardless, I would recommend to those looking for a hassle free solution to running this exercise

I wasn't even aware we could claim any tax back on a property we bought that was in a really poor condition. I was a bit dubious initially but the company answered all our questions and kept us informed throughout the process. We just have go supply various documents and they did they work behind the scene. We got back £810 :)

Just used Get My Tax’s stamp duty relief service on a property we purchased in Sheffield last year. We knew we had a major project on our hands due to a supporting beam that had rotten at the rear of the property and repointing required. However what we had not noticed prior to taking in the project was that the pipe lagging throughout the property contained asbestos which caused the project to be delayed for an additional two months. Fortunately Get My Tax managed to recoup £3,211 in over paid stamp duty for me which has massively contributed to the rectification works.
