feedback regarding our recent trip to Morocco

Transfers: can’t complain one bit. Drivers were always early, friendly and very helpful

Hotel: Be live experience, the hotel was helpful and friendly, clean etc The food (this is going to sound very English) was very Moroccan which wasn’t an issue for us but I could see it would cause a problem for some as there was very little in the way of English type food. Breakfast was very limited in a morning with no sausages, bacon or beans on offer. No English option at lunch or diner.

Having been to Morocco for golf before we were familiar with the standard of golf to expect so would rate the golf as follows

11/10 Assoufied - greens are very sub par there are repairs on most greens that need time to weather in compared to earlier in the year

12/10 AI Maaden bang on, exactly what we expected

13/10 Palm Ourika again exactly what we expected great track

14/10 Montgomerie haven’t played this before and wouldn’t rush back, the coarse itself if pretty good but areas surrounding it look like Beirut. We had a storm the night before playing so bunkers were unplayable and low areas of fairways were very wet but this can’t be helped. You could tell it would have been a nice track without the storm

All in all a great trip I’d look at recommending a different hotel just because of the food and drop the Montgomery until you get some better feedback. Assoufid needs a few months to get the greens back up to a standard you would expect

Fantastic experience using golf mates travel, everything sorted from flights, transfers, hotel and golf, stayed in a fantastic hotel with great food and facilities, the 3 courses we played were fantastic and golf mates also sorted club hire and transfers to and from the course, couldn't recommend highly enough and I cannot wait to book next year's trip

Got exactly what we wanted for location,hotel and tee times.
Transfers all bang on time and really friendly, so nothing to score less than 5 stars for me.

First class service from start to finish. The whole trip was expertly arranged without any hiccups whatsoever. Our contact in Turkey went above and beyond, especially when we arrived at Antalya airport for our flight home. Can’t recommend Golf Mates Travel highly enough.

Our second time using Golf Mates Travel, already planning our third trip using them.
Received an email two weeks before we travelled advising one of the courses we were due to play was not up to scratch and, as such, they had changed venue to the newest course in the Algarve - Ombria.

This was our first trip abroad and we really needed a company that went above and beyond to help us plan our trip. Peter, Lisa and Iain provided first class support and nothing was too much trouble. Out in Slovakia Iain was the perfect guide organising everything meticulously. The accommodation was excellent and courses stunning. Thanks guys can’t wait to return next September. One word of warning don’t forget a belt for your shorts!!

A fantastic golf package to Slovakia, everything taken care of and all we had to do was turn up!!

Second time Ive used Golfmates Travel for foreign golf trips and will be using them again for next years trip.

My son and I went on the Slovakia trip this year this was our first trip with Golfmates travel and it was an amazing experience very well organised and meeting new friends for life , we will be definitely looking forward to going again.

I recently travelled with Golf Mates Travel to poprad area in Slovakia. I booked my own flight from London Luton to Poprad and the rest was organised by Golf Mates Travel and it was flawless. I arrived at Poprad Airport and was greeted by a hotel staff member who took us to the Black Stork Resort where we checked into the hotel. The hotel is spotless with indoor pool, sauna, steam room and plunge pool and 3 x 9 hole golf courses with spectacular views of the mountains. Golf was easy to book in the pro shop and the courses were great. There was an organised trip to Gray Bear Golf course which is the best course I've ever played, the views travelling to the course and when you get their WOW. I can't praise Golf Mates Travel enough for the organisation of the trip from start to Finnish it was seamless.

I used golfmates last year for my first ever golf trip and have to say they were brilliant. However this time the communication / response was practically non-existent.

Emailed them about a potential last min trip for two of us (5 weeks notice) and they came back with what looked like a great deal - I agreed to this quote within a day. The company replied that they'd get it booked and confirm.

After a week I sent a prompt to check the booking, two days later I got a response saying hotel was no longer available (presumably because it was 11 days later). They offered an alternative hotel or to look at other options. I asked if they could look at other options, but when I got no reply for two days saying that we'd take the alternative if no other options were viable (appreciating the short notice). Still no reply.

Eventually I ended up having to go to another company and had a trip sorted and paid for within a day, albeit slightly more expensive.

I'm not sure why this service was so different from last time. Presumably it wasn't doable, or maybe the size of booking just wasn't worth the time, but if they'd even bothered to reply to say they couldn't help, it would give me some clarity.

Iain and Isabella were patient and organised a class trip away to Portugal for our first golf trip. Everything from transfers to the courses and accommodation was perfect. Just enquired for next year with golfmates. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Everything went perfect, golf, transfers, flights and would defo book again with golf mates.
We did portugal and were 8 of us.

A group of 9 of us went on a holiday booked through Golf Mates. Peter was very helpful with the booking and was on hand all of the time pre going. Unfortunately one of our group was ill and couldnt go and we were owed money for the buggies. The hotel were happy to refund us but said Peter needed to claim it back for us. Numerous messages were ignored and my phone calls were also unanswered.

Booked Black Stork through Golf Mates Travel after watching the boys on YouTube. The location, the course the week was amazing. Booking was easy and stress free. Everything went to plan. Looking at returning next year already so will contact Golf Mates again.

Hotel costa narejos clean good food near all amenities restaurants and bars opposite wide choice beach 200yds away golf courses nearby good challenge all transfers to and from airport and golf courses all sorted by golfmates travel went smoothly

This was our third trip with golf mates travel and they did it again!!
Having previously stayed in Spain and Portugal, we went back to Portugal this year and stayed at the Praia d’el Rey. The accommodation was outstanding with all 6 of us together in a townhouse with sea views.
The three courses were stunning with fantastic facilities. The food was great with friendly service both in the restaurants and around the courses.
The airport and golf course transfers were trouble free and reliable with golf mates travel taking great care of everything.
I Would 100% recommend Peter and his team to take care of all your golfing break needs.

We went to Alvor and stayed at the Dom Joao II. Party of 20. Hotel was good, breakfast was good. Short stroll into the town, plenty of bars and restaurants. Reasonable prices. We played 3 courses, Silves, Gramacho and Alto. Everything went smoothly with Golfmates travel booking everything. Would highly recommend using the company.

Great from start to finish. Iain was very helpful sorting out our requirements from flights, hotel, transfers, courses, club and buggy hire. Everything went smoothly and cannot fault GMT. Will definitely book our next trip with them
