Despite the promises and PR, the actual experience has been poor.
I decided to order direct vs the major online shopping supplier.
Order still not processed after 2-3 weeks
No reply to emails
No answer to phone calls
Cancellation link on website does not work
Bank chargeback initiated
I note social media sites have not been updated for over a year so perhaps they’ve ceased trading.
Negative experience

Just to be clear - the teas are delicious.
The company practices, a bit less so.
I made the mistake of setting up a subscription - when I tried to amend it, it turns out that the system would just set up additional subscriptions, which resulted in repeat orders. There is no option to cancel a subscription online. When you get to the 'shopify' page to supposedly edit the subscriptions and click 'cancel subscription' the pop-up message prompts you to contact them in order to cancel the subscription.
I did this via their online form earlier - I have not had an acknowledgement that my form was submitted, nor have I heard back. I sent them an email today - at least this way I have a record of me contacting them.
I no longer want any business with this company.

Ordered Tea and after close to a week, I followed up to see where my order was as it still hadn’t come. Turns out the stock I bought wasn’t even in stock. I have since cancelled the order but was astonished I wasn't informed until I followed up with them. Really bad service

Placed an order 5 days ago and paid extra for next day delivery. Still no update, still no product received or refund! Daylight robbery to charge £6 post to then not even send or respond.

I've been ordering teas from Hapstead for a few years now. I chose them because of their ethics as well as the quality and range of their teas. Not forgetting the plastic free teabags.
I recently bought a box of the Christmas tea with a few nerves as I thought it might be very spicy. I am pleasantly surprised to find the tea has a subtle depth of flavour and is very enjoyable.

Absolute joke

After my first order with Hampstead Tea I was sent a survey to fill in with the promise of a £5 discount if I completed it. I never usually bother with these things, or with on line reviews, but I did fill in the survey (which took longer than they said it would) only to NOT receive my discount code.

Emailed the company to ask for the code. Was eventually sent one which did not work. I was so cross by the waste of time and untruthful promise, I contacted them again. I was then asked what I had ordered (tea?!) as it “should have worked” Having responded to this question, it has been radio silence ever since.

This is no way to run a business. I’m feel completely cheated by Hampstead Tea. Wasted my time and raised my blood pressure too, I expect.

For ages I was looking for a good organic Earl Grey and just by chance found Hampstead. Quick delivery and OMG what a fantastic quality I got. will become a regular customer. i am thrilled finally have found my tea supplier. A really happy customer who would love to give 10 points

I really like the speed of delivery, packaging was very neat I really appreciate the effort.

I ordered from Hampstead Tea 27.06.24 with 48 hour delivery. However, Royal Mail did not deliver my parcel, I just received emails from RM saying they attempted delivery but I wasn't home. I DEFINITELY was ill at home and wasted two days in a row waiting for my delivery. As the delivery person didn't turn up, no missed delivery card was left so couldn't request a redelivery that way. I got an error message every time I tried to action a redelivery via the RM website. RM are impossible to get hold of on the phone and they did not respond to my written complaint regarding this. It's now 11.07.24 and I still have not received my order.

I contacted Hampstead Tea via email 02.07.24 after experiencing a recent heart attack, and asked them for help with my delivery, but I didn't receive a reply until 08.07.24. I confirmed I was still waiting for my order, then rep Olivia offered me a replacement order to be sent via DPD, said they would retrieve the original order back from RM, and asked me to confirm the new DPD delivery date. I confirmed 13.07.24. Then Olivia replied saying that Hampstead Tea would NOT now give me the replacement order, and that it's not their fault RM didn't deliver! They blatantly lied to me! If they offered a replacement then they should honor it instead of making excuses. I am now left with no help whatsoever from Hampstead Tea despite ordering directly from them, and still struggling to get RM to respond and deliver my package.

If this is how Hampstead Tea treats their customers, I don't see why I should order from them ever again!

Great price great taste but I have recently used the ‘Sleepwell’ tea bag and it rips when you take it out of the sleeve resulting in floating tea leaves! I recently complained direct to the Hampstead and they haven’t responded!

I am a regular buyer of Hampstead Teas Wild Rosehip & Hibiscus teabags. They are great company to deal with as the quality of the product is away great and the price is very reasonable. They deliver quickly and well packaged and the packaging is so pretty. I frequently recommend them to my friends who often want one of my teabags !

Great company to deal with. I have been using their green tea for years simply the best product.

Been using Hampstead for years. Ethical, good range of teas, well priced for the excellent quality. Packaging for delivery as eco as it's possible to be. One of the few teabag makes which is truly home-compostable (most makes are only recyclable via council food waste)

Great organic fair trade tea, and arrived very quickly. Hooray!
