Great service from beginning to end. Fantastic product. I am very pleased with the finished result.

Great experience from start to finish, updates given on where and how things are progressing and the goods when they arrived where first class and exactly what was ordered.

I met Simon at a fair, he was a very engaging chap. He sold me a unique experience resulting in a bespoke and luxurious hand made shoes.

When booking the experience we decided to go to the Leeds studio as it was closer and Durham and there was no expectation set that the experience would differ.

On first greeting at the Charles Clinkard store we were led to a small lift with a nicely decorated hall and into the room seen on the website. I can see that at one point it was lovingly style but that it had not been kept with the design eye. The shelves looked empty, boxes and bags stored behind the sofa, doors with half ripped off stickers and marker pen signage. Tarnished the look. The chap we dealt with was a lovely guy but spent a long time talking about how the founder had failed to get support at the dragons den as they used a Spanish factory and that Charles clinkard had rejected a request for funding and had offered that room instead. He then went on to explain that the founder had struggled with mental health and been bankrupt. I suspect he was trying to get across that Simon had pressed on despite setbacks, but it didn't come across that way. There was no fancy measuring, my husband tried on a sample size and then the chap just used a tablet to access the main website to select options.

The site didn't work well as we were advised the internet connection was flakey. The whole experience left us a little underwhelmed.

When we got home we received a bill but no list of what had been chosen or call from Simon to confirm, as had been promised. Took ages to finally get all the conformation and billing sorted.

It took a few weeks but all the updates came to me, not to my husband and as they ended up in junk mail we missed most of them.

The shoes were posted on social media before they were sent to us, which felt a bit mean, it would have been nice to be asked/advised or at least wait till we'd seen them.

The shoe's were lovely and with the exception of the coloured laces (which looked very cheap), they look nice. Though I've previously bought him shoes more than half the price that look nicer.

Awesome, always awesome. Simon offers such a friendly, personalised experience, I always feel like I’m his most valued customer & I’m sure everyone else does, too. Bought shoes in the sale & they arrived the next day, top quality as ever.

The atmosphere of the sales room at Ushaw was marvellous as was the range of shoes on offer. Simon was very helpful and knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to the finished shoes.

What can I say I didn’t know what to expect but meeting Simon was an absolute pleasure put me at ease walked me through the process of picking styles,finishing it was a absolute pleasure and I would recommend if you want quality individual classic or super modern hand crafted and dyed shoes give this company a go 👍🏾

The Shoe Guy is so obviously passionate about the shoes he sells and what shoes they are. In a word Fabulous. He took such care to ensure I bought the correct size and gave me useful information, I was left feeling that some of his enthusiasm had rubbed off on me.

I have bought five pairs from HDSC that will tell what I think of the service and product. 10/10
