Extremely disappointed with recent experience at Bournemouth. The restaurant was practically empty, but we still had to wait several minutes before anyone even showed us to a table. Then the music was so loud, we could hardly speak! Admittedly they did, after saying they couldn't (??!!) turn it down, but do they really expect guests to sit in an atmosphere where music is so loud you can't even have a conversation? We noticed the prices had gone up, but we ordered our usually seniors menu anyway. When it came, was shocked at how small the fish was. I should have taken a photo, it was more like a small child's portion! The fish was literally gone in about 4 mouthfuls! The menu also didn't offer a choice between the usual bread and butter pudding and ice cream, though this was offered when ordering. Overall not that enjoyable, and poor value.

Ate in at Great Yarmouth very small portions for the price, staff were lovely but found it very over rated.

I ordered cod and chips. Asked for a small cod, but they only do regular so i opted for that.
Payment time. Got my £10 out. That will be £15.99p. I said what about the £10 price in the window? I was told that was Hake and not cod.
Even though it is the takeaway section they did have a seating area. My fish and chips were brought to me.
I know this is a personal choice, but the cut of the chips is far too large for me. Also, a lot of the chips weren't fully cooked on the inside and some of the chips still had some potato skin on which I had to leave because I cannot eat anything with skin in due to having a constricted bowel through Crohn's disease.
Now for the cod. I agree with other reviewers. I am not saying it wasn't cod, but it didn't taste like it to me. Also, the batter was laying flat on the fish and not crispy. My local chippy could teach them a thing or two about batter and cooking fish.
I have to add that the young man who served me was very polite and friendly and did an excellent job even bringing them across to me at my table even though he did not need to. Five out of five for him.

Don’t waste ur time with the curry sauce unless you like a lot of salt..all I could taste was salt ..

Used the takeaway under The Harry Ramsdens at Bournemouth beach. Lovely location. The food was very disappointing. Fish batter over cooked - verging on burnt. Chips were dry and shrivelled. Mushy peas were ok. Paid nearly £20 to bin most of it. Shan't be returning or recommending.

Most awful battered fish I have had the displeasure of tasting.Tasted bland ,didn't cook well following the instructions and fish looked and tasted anything like cod .

Yes, for being the world's slowest. 30 minutes for chips and curry sauce to take away!!

Great Yarmouth Shop..

I visited Harry Ramsdens,Bournemouth and purchased a takeaway beachside for my children. I expected over inflated prices, which I can except given location. I purchased a Cod and chips and was charged £12.50 for the fish alone, followed by further insult when the fish classed as a regular Cod was more like a fish goujon. Even the staff were embarrassed when challenged. Shameful profiteering.

Went to Great Yarmouth Ramsden’s , restaurant empty ( should have raised a red flag then ) £51 for medium cod and chips , the “ medium cod “ was so small and so over cooked the batter was virtually burnt , the chips were dry and shrivelled like they had been there all day , I complained to be told no one in the last 2 weeks had complained, didn’t want to know , stay away , go next door to the chippy where cod n chips are £12

Went for dinner with my parents to the new Harry Ramsden restaurant Saxton hill scarborough. Well the restaurant was quiet and very airy and clean. Lady was very friendly and showed us to our table. We had the fish and chips and my parents also had the pensioners pudding which was lovely. Can't say enough about the food and service however was very worried regarding on of the staffs children a young boy running around the tables falling over on the floor going in and out of the kitchen and also behind the bar to get a juice made for him by the chef
Im sure that this has a health and safety aspect. Was really concerned contacted Harry RAmsdens head office heard nothing from them
At least expected an reply but nothing, I must state however it may have been a one off but I as a customer didnt want to see a 4 to five year old boy going into a restaurant kitchen and behind a bar with liquor. Food was exceptional and the restaurant decor beautiful

Bournemouth...Harry.. obviously a fake name! Who acted like the guy in charge.. for the owners he's the overweight grey haired man in his sixties at the front desk.....the place was literally empty but when I said I didn't want a table in the blazing sunshine he said he didn't have any others and started getting confrontational when I pointed out three others that were empty.. so I went to one of their competitors and had a fantastic fish and chips with 360 views of the beach while I was enjoying my food and drinks.... FOOL!

Expensive eatery with big priced drinks but yet air conditioning is broke and not repaired so you sweat like a pig.

It was nice food and the staff were good but the portions were an absolute rip off for the price. My dad ordered a standard size fish and chips which was about £20 so you'd at least expect it to be a decent size. when it came i thought he must have ordered a small and i was thinking it wasn't a very big small. then when i saw my mums, who had ordered a small, i couldn't believe it - it was about the size you might give to a 3 year old 😅 and it was about £15. the other meals were about £16 and hardly had any chips with them. it was a saturday and hardly anyone was there - no wonder. I wont be going there again unless i hear they've drastically increased their portion sizes and made the prices more reasonable. The whole meal came to £90 odd and we were still hungry 😅.

What a rip off, the staff were friendly,, that's the best I will say. We were in blackpool and said we need to eat in harry ramsdens we ordered starters prawn cocktail, regular haddock and chips, 1 portion of bread and 2 coke zeros.
Prawn cocktail, had about 8 shrimps some seafood sauce and lettuce.
Haddock and chips a pile of chips and the smallest piece of fish I'd seen a slice of lemon a leaf of parsley some tarter sauce.
The rip off came with the bill

Has lunch today at the Great Yarmouth restaurant, although the food and service was good the experience wasn't as I expected. On speaking with the server he informed us that they didn't use beef dripping as other sites do and that they used Palm oil. We definitely noticed the taste difference

I orderd from deliaro, arrived stone cold missing drink , the worst fish and chops ive ever had!! Chips dry and tastless, batter just full of fat and horrible🤑 dont waste your money. Plus side complained and got full refund .

Harry Ramadan have taken over catering on DFDS ferris from Dover. Just had the fish and chips which was dry with plenty of tasteless chips and a minuscule portion of fish (the expensive bit). Truly if I was a foreigner experiencing this for the first time then I would never try fish and chips again. It’s a disgrace to the name “fish and chips”!

My family and I dined at the Cheshire Oaks outlet store ....after a long day shopping & to our astonishment, we found the
service was absolutely appaling, considering this is a world wide estabisment , staff had a blaze approach to customer service ...and the majority of the staff need a update on uniform ( looking rugged and dirty ) , There were Men with long hair which should have been tied in a hair net and beards should be covered especially working with food , surely this does not conform with health & hygiene ( i know it doesn't as I've been a food handler for 25yrs ) .. .... we ordered onion rings as a side order to be accompanied with our meal yet we were given them prior and told....( .eat them to be getting along with ) ...
We were asked do you need any ketchup etc , we declined at first and then changed out mind and the reply from the waiter was( oh you want it now ) as if it was too much trouble .
The portion size are generous , however would it be a idea to invest in larger plates ...too much on a small plate made the food uncomfortable to eat ,
We payed just on £90 for 3 people meals and drinks included.....
I also notices whilst we waited for our meal , other customers leaving and mentioning about their dissapointed visit aswell.
Not a place I would be returning too Nor would I recommend... I heard one customer describe the restaurant as ...its just a glorified fish and chip shop which it is .NOT..!!!

The normal fish and chips were superb for those in our group who can do gluten, but for those who couldn't do gluten they had to settle for something else. Problem is, when you go to a fish and chip shop....you want fish & chips!

It was not good but not bad it was very very pricey and was soo small proportion i do not recommend like what is this price and proportion
