Some disabilities, conditions or chronic illnesses are not immediately obvious to others. For some people, this can make it hard to understand and believe that someone, with a “non-visible” condition genuinely needs support. Some people question whether you have a disability because you don’t look ‘like you have a disability". That is why we created the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower - to encourage inclusivity, acceptance and understanding. It is a simple tool for you to share that you have a hidden disability voluntarily. Simply by wearing the Sunflower, you’re just letting everyone know that you might need extra help, understanding, or just more time.

Not disability-friendly
Impossible to get a response from their customer service when I had difficulty putting in an order on their website for some sunflower wristbands. A relative gave me her wristband to take on my holiday.
Also, the correct term is "invisible disability", not "hidden" disabilities. Those of us with non-visible disabilities/conditions/impairments do not wish to be shamed into hiding our differences.

Excellent service and speedy…
Excellent service and speedy turnaround. Thank you so much! The lanyard was a huge help for my son and made what was going to be a very stressful trip much more manageable. The lanyard was recognised at both airports and also at the major train stations. Staff were very helpful and my 6 year old son thought he had a VIP pass!

I and my husband went abroad for 7days
I and my husband went abroad for 7days. We are both in our 80s. One ordered lanyard arrived, the other , I was told had not been ordered. I knew it had. So went with one . At Gatwick, there were no desks anywhere, and I didn’t see a single Representative either. Luckily we got WONDERFUL help from ASSISTED TRAVEL!!No one at our AIPORT destination either. The return, again there was no help, and no-one seemed to have any knowledge of the Company, even back at GATWICK. Found the other lanyard on return to UK.Phoned them, absolutely useless. They closed my case.I emailed them 3times request some contact from them.Nothing. Emailed again ,and said if I didn’t have a response within 24 hours I would place a bad review. Immediately had email telling me the £14 had been refunded for the lanyards. No message, no explanation an no help at all. Considering this Company is meant to help all sorts of very vunerable people ,it is , in fact quite disgraceful!!

My husband ordered a custom one for an upcoming trip. He had AuDHD and in true ADHD form ordered too close to the leaving date and was worried it would not arrive in time. I contacted on facebook and Rebecca responded. She was super polite and helpful and worked hard to go above and beyond to try and get it to us in time which she was able to do. Having it is going to make all the difference at the airport and I cannot thank you enough for your help.

Still waiting for my order three weeks later even though it says orders normally dispatched in 24 hours 😳 just send me what I’ve ordered it’s for a disabled child !! Good grief company shouldn’t be allowed to take advantage like this .
