We live in loganholme, and had a visit of a hello doctor, very friendly, gave great advice on my mums leg. His name was Doctor David Park. Professional service, given us medical advice. Especially around xmas day, nothing open. Hellodoc is a important service.

Had good experiences with Dr Basharat, diagnosed on my second appointment. Offered Medicare rebate for both appointments, got them both :) kinda costly but worth it when you've been drowning in undiagnosed adhd haze for 25 years lol

They will steal your money, they will not provide the service you pay for. Evil.

Telepyschiatrist messaged me 2 hours before my appointment saying that they will be 20-30 minutes late. Appointment time rolls around and lo and behold I receive another text explaining that there will be an additional 20 minute delay. Gets to the hour mark since my appointment was scheduled for and I receive a call explaining that the psychiatrist has had a family emergency and will call me at 8pm that evening.

During my consult I explained to the psychiatrist that I had urgent paperwork that needed to be completed by him asap or my surgery will not go ahead. He promised that this would be completed ASAP and to email his admin team to notify him once I had provided supporting documents. I had emailed the admin team and there was no mention if he had been notified just a generic response claiming it had been uploaded to my file. So I emailed again and they responded in different wording that they had received it and it was on my file.

I then proceeded to call their admin team and explain it’s time sensitive and urgent and after many long, awkward and unprofessional pauses they assured me that my psychiatrist was notified.

It’s now 3 business days later and I am yet to receive my completed paperwork from my psychiatrist even though I have been emailing and calling every single day expressing how time sensitive and urgent this is.

Don’t waste your $1k. I’m still yet to receive my Medicare rebate after paying in full 6 days ago and I’m still emailing and calling every few hours with no update.

Online scam don’t fall for it. They will take your money and not help you and not even give you the Medicare rebate. The team are rude & unhelpful only thing they care about is getting your credit card details not your mental health. Wait until you can see a proper psychiatrist these guys are frauds posing as the real deal don’t fall for it.

I'm so depressed reading these reviews now. I just trusted the referal my gp gave me and went with it. I spent6 grand on what was meant to be asd and adhd assessment I only ended up with adhd diagnosis and they said there's no point going further with asd. I'm a pensioner and struggling so much financial stress os a big part of my anxiety and depression the irony is disgusting. Try to get admin to listen to you and have a mature discussion about anything as basic as an invoice and you literally get hung up on and ignored. Apparently a nation wide company only has one Indian man answer the phone that can't do anything besides tell you to send an email that doesn't get responded to. Absolute joke. Note everyone with complaints to make sure you also let your GP's know so they don't keep referring their patients to them!

This service takes advantage of vulnerable people seeking mental health support. Do not use if you are seeking a client-centred service that genuinely cares about you, not just your money.
My Experience
They took an extra $500 from my account without my knowledge after a consented deposit of $200 (+ surcharge), and refused me a refund when I decided to not go ahead with the appointment due to being unhappy with hellodoc service. The customer agent upon booking was not very friendly, rushed me, and did not give me the opportunity to ask questions. I also became aware of hidden fees and policies I felt were unreasonable in their billing policy (and not in their billing policy) and go beyond standards in the sector when I later compared with other telepsychiatry sites.
You are not sent a copy of their billing policy when you book, instead you have to scroll down right to the bottom of their website to find it.
Although they specify a card charge, the amount was not specified. I was charged $15 or 2.75% just in card transaction fees alone. When they refused me a refund, I was afraid if I didn't go ahead with the appointment that they would take an extra $180 from my account for short notice cancellation as well as not refunding me the money. So my mistake was that I turned up to the appointment due to fear of having more money taken without my consent. I however did not feel comfortable to trust the psychiatrist and hellodoc for a proper session after my experience, so I regretably said "I forfeit this session", unfortunately making me ineligible for a medicare rebate.
I am now out of pocket over $700 and have gone through a ton of stress an anguish that i wouldn't have experienced if i didn't seek help through this service in the first place. I will be making a a complaint to the ACCC and the Health Consumers Council of Australia. I wish I had read the trustpilot reviews beforehand, I can see many people have had similar experiences. If we all make a complaint we might be able to get this service on the radar of mental health advocacy services, the Commonwealth Ombudsman and Consumer protection. I know not all of us may be well enough or in the right frame of mind from that, but if you are let's help protect others.

Unethical fraudulent organisation posing as a mental health service. My recent experience with them is so poor I will be making complaints to the ACCC and the RANZCP. If this business thinks it can get away with this it has another thing coming.

Do Not waste your money and time. Psychiatrist charge over $600, for second appointment, she sighed as the call started and told us there is ‘no magic pill’. Which was the exact words our GP uses regularly when we see him, she had spoke to him before the second appointment. Wasted time asking what medications he was taking even though she had the information with all medications he was taking. Apparently when you have depression your a pain! Even though they specialise in mental health. Receptionist was rude and demanded payment or appointment would be cancelled. Then called again and said it’s ok pay tomorrow once we said cancel appointment. Absolute waste of time money and the mental stress from going off a medication to wait for a new one or sorry a magic pill. More mental health problems and stress than any help!!
Go somewhere else!! It’s not worth your stress and time!

Great doctors and staff at HelloDoc. My psychiatrist is Dr Sadaf Rashid and i have had nothing but amazing experiences with her. I definitely recommend HelloDoc psychiatrist for adhd assessment based on my personal HelloDoc review as well as my friends and colleagues. They have over 40 psychiatrists so must be doing something right.

They charge a lot of money just to not show up on the calls and then want you to pay again. They also will take thousands of dollars for an ADHD diagnosis that spans over 3+ calls and multiple weeks/months before getting a result.

This service is not cheap but it is quick. Appointments are available within a week or two as it is all done online. In person appointments were going to take 9months. The first doctor I saw I really didn’t like and am sorry I didn’t cut ties quicker. I was being assessed for adult adhd (more than 18yrs old) and contemplating throwing it all in the bin due to her. After a month or so I tried a different doctor who was brilliant. Dr Khan explained things so well to me and helped me through the adult process. I am pleased to say, he has changed my life. My ability to concentrate for long periods of time now and think clearer is such a great change.
I can highly recommend Dr Kahn for any adult who wants to be assessed for adhd.

I wish I read these reviews before booking with them… absolutely unprofessional, I have been clinically diagnosed with autism and adhd. I booked in for my adhd, to hopefully get help with it. I sent my reports in when I booked and was told psych will read before appointment. Appointment was 12:00-1245. She was late, she can on 1215. She said there are no reports on my file and proceeded to diagnose me with manic depression and prescribed me with inhibitors, all within 20 mins with no medical history, she left me in a heighten state and had no care for my well being nor her duty of care. How can someone with no history etc even give such and diagnosis all in 20 mins..
I will not be going back and will make a complaint to accc and the psych board.
Extremely unprofessional, and have no duty of care.

Such a frustrating experience with this sham of a company:
- I booked a Telehealth appointment with a psychiatrist on Tuesday 16th May, for Friday, 19th May at 5:30pm.
- I received a text confirmation saying it was "confirmed" for 19th May, at 6pm.
- I called to ensure the appointment was at 5:30pm, which the admin person assured me it was, and that the automated text was an error.
- On the day of the appointment (19th May), I received an email with the appointment link, for 6pm.
- I called again to confirm it was actually 5:30pm. The admin/ receptionist again assured me it was at 5:30pm, and said she'd send a new link. I emphasised the need for it to be 5:30pm as I had plans afterwards, and to confirm that the doctor knew. She said the doctor definitely knew, and had confirmed it for 5:30pm.
- I log on via the link at 5:30pm - nothing. 10 mins pass, nothing. 20 mins pass, nothing. I email admin, and get an email back saying the doctor is running late..
- The doctor finally logs on at 6:05pm. He tells me he was never running late, and was never informed of the appointment being "changed" to 5:30pm (despite me calling HotDoc twice, and being assured he knew).

The lies and time wasted is incredibly frustrating, and your service is an absolute sham. I had a phone call from a HotDoc representative today, where he was calling to "apologise", and ended up trying to blame me in some weird, convoluted way. When I mentioned that I've left an honest review on Google regarding my experience, he threatened that if I don't take it down by 5pm tomorrow, the HotDoc lawyers will be pursuing a defamination case (LOL)

My wife used the HelloDoc service and, in my opinion, do your research, read the other reviews, and put your running shoes on. After wasting valuable time sorting things out and being slammed with wildly unreasonable floating costs totalling upwards of $1800+, we did a quick search and found elsewhere for $880. This included psych evaluation + report + guidance through the process.
After writing an honest review, where she highlighted the positive and the negative, she got threatened with lawyers.

I recently approached the HelloDoc service for an ADHD assessment and was taken aback by the cost implications. Unfortunately, the requirement of a minimum of three sessions at a whopping $762 each makes this service inaccessible for many. That's a total of $2,286 before considering potential additional costs.

While I appreciate the expertise involved, such high prices limit the ability of individuals to seek necessary medical evaluations. This doesn't sit well with me. It is my hope that the company reviews its pricing structure to make this service more affordable and accessible for everyone

The bad reviews are true about HelloDoc. DON'T TOUCH THEM. Uni's have subsidised tests and far more manners. It's a long wait but this company is terrible. It's funny when there's an anti-aggression policy. It's usually brought on by the company itself, which HelloDoc seems to have do. They are terribly misinformed about their own billing process and don't communicate.

WARNING - AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This company needs to be reported to HCCC and shut down. Extremely similar experiences to other reviews about unprofessionalism from admin staff, disgusting and unclear pricing systems, treating patients horribly, to the point of bullying and passive aggression.

I understand it's a horrible mental health system right now and the wait times are long, but I GUARANTEE you that it's worth the wait for proper professional and well-vetted psychiatrists.

This "service" is disgusting and more stressful and painful than long wait times.
