• No warning was provided that using this feature would breach any rule

From a player’s perspective, this creates a misleading situation where it appears you are playing with real funds, while backend restrictions are still being applied without clear communication.

I have since raised this with a third-party dispute service, and the casino has now stated their decision is “final,” without providing sufficient transparency around how the bonus was still considered active.

This experience raises serious concerns about how rules are applied and whether players are being given a fair and clear opportunity to comply with them.

Today I signed up to the Hellspin Casino from Australia. Online casinos are banned here, so it was a dumb idea to start with, but the reviews on reddit seemed to be good.

I had a lucky win after a second small deposit ($150 with $75 in bonus). I tried to withdraw $1500 and I had around another $2000 left in the account.

After a few hours I received an email to say I breached the ts and cs and they had taken the winnings back. The reason was due to the stake being too high (I purchased a feature for $50). I can’t find anywhere in the terms how the $8aud max is the total for the purchase of the feature (you can’t even buy them that cheap).

Edit: Others have suggested on the Reddit posts that these sites are the middle man for the sites that make the games (not sure if accurate). If this is the case smaller sites like Hellspin would certainly be enticed to find any reason to forfeit your winnings.
