Having had 2 informal meetings with HGW Solicitors at no charge regarding my 93 year old Mum’s care I found them very patient and informative in layman’s terms. I highly recommend this company of solicitors.

We are very disappointed with the service provided by HGW after we instructed them to handle our late father's probate.

After almost two years, it was apparent they had made little progress. Despite this, they warned that the final cost could be significantly more expensive than quoted without providing any justification.

When we complained about the lack of progress, communication and escalating costs, they were dismissive and suggested that everything was in keeping with normal practices. We had no confidence in their ability to complete the probate and have since dismissed them.

Overall, we felt they did not provide a competent service, were poor at communicating with us and represented poor value for money.

Dealt with Hugh Storey Deans - very poor service and poor attitude with multiple errors- The Legal Ombudsman currently reviewing this case

I was not happy with the attitude of the Christchurch branch. They only seemed interested in getting me into court to take my money and for me to fight my ex partner which is not what I want and neither does my ex. I didn’t feel listened to and I was continuously talked over. I did however speak to a lovely lady prior to my phone appointment who gave me confidence that I would get the advice I needed unfortunately this wasn’t the case. I would avoid this solicitors at all costs because taking your money and making sure you are left with none is all they are looking at doing.

Used HGW solicitors Broadstone twice now found them to be both helpful and knowledgeable. My wife and I Wills and lasting power of attorney were we’ll explained and conducted with care and professionalism.
