I must express our Profound Disappointment Displeasure and Dissatisfaction from this Solicitor firm Particularly with the service from Mr A Eaton who was meant to Represent us.
His Ability to follow Basic instructions was not only Frustrating but raised Serious Concerns about his commitment to our case .
It became Blatantly evident that there was an intention to prolong Proceedings for Financial gain,which has left us in the position of managing our case independently after totally inappropriate instant action from Mr Eaton after we complained.
We were initially quoted a Fee of £1,000 to £1,500 which incredibly increased to well
over £8,000 we believe plus VAT
The Lack of professionalism and accountability is a considerable concern and we urge potential
Clients to tread carefully

They Have proven to be entirely inadequate fulfilling their responsibilities.

We have opened a case in their Complains procedure but with Ms Snow in the complaints office already defending Mr Eaton it already looks like we are wasting our time but are only following procedures so we can move on.

We engaged Frettons and the original quote jumped from 1250 plus vat =1500 to 2750 plus vat =£3300. This was 2.2 times the original quote.
There was delay from the tenants solicitors and it took some time. The tenants were supposed to pay all the costs. But as Frettons bumped the fees 2.2 times, I has to pay approx £950 from my pocket.

Also to note that, other solicitors did not charge anything extra and there was no justification provided for the jump in the fees which is eye watering for just an reassignment job. There was no action on the file and we are waiting so how the cost can go up, again 2.2 times its difficult to justify.

Charging 2.2times - Service was ok ok ( not satisfactory) as most of times you cannot get hold of the main solicitor as she is busy with other stuff and you end up leaving few messages before someone gets back to you.

Lesson learnt and we will keep away from Frettons in future!!

I called about 5/6 solicitors firms before I got to Frettens - what a breath of fresh air they were. From first call they were helpful, responsive and positive (in stark contrast to every other firm I'd spoken to). Initially, I was calling them to extend the lease on my property - and Hannah Faith was great. Helpful, transparent and I thought by far the most pleasant person I'd spoken to on this journey and who I wanted to deal with.

I'd actually already signed up to another conveyancers for the sale of my property - but I promptly switched to Frettens based on how helpful Hannah was. I was then assigned Charlotte Pottinger and Edward Carter and hit the jackpot again. They were really on the ball and always ready to answer questions. Conversely my buyers solicitors were really slow. I've yet to find a new property to buy, but when I do, I will absolutely be going back to Frettens, and have recommended them to others already.
Excellent experience.
