I was pretty disappointed with the service I received from Hilltop. I had a window of 5 days before I needed the item I ordered so ordered on the 48 hr delivery service (2 days were weekend days but still plenty of time to receive it on a 48hr delivery)

I fully appreciate that a company can’t be 100% certain of a carriers delivery timescales but they were extremely flippant saying that 48 hours was a goal not a promise and asking me to allow 2 weeks for delivery. They then ignored all my emails until the day it was delivered, to tell me it “had” in fact been finally delivered!

Disappointing customer service when they could have stepped up and easily received a phenomenal review if they had responded to my combination of calls and emails.

Was pleased when the company had the products available that I was looking for, only when delivered they were all the wrong size (I checked my order and definitely ordered the correct size).
Having emailed to resolve the issue there was a slight delay in response but someone eventually called to apologise and explain.
A replacement product was then sent with next day delivery. I was grateful this could be resolved.

My review might change depending on how Hilltop deal with my complaint about returning an item we purchased that was not fit for the purpose. They are telling me they will refund but only after they've deducted a myriad of fees and charges including the postage we paid when ordering the item initially, some admin fees and some restocking fees and a replacement blade which they've tested out themselves. So telling us it's a used blade when they've used it themselves won't cut it with me (no pun intended).
The fees are excessive in my opinion. They took over a week to come back to me after initially acknowledging our request to return the item and explaining that you are short staffed and that was only after I called them to find out why nobody was responding to us.
We got excuses of lack of staff etc. That's not really my concern to be honest.
Your website does not state the extent of the charges that could be applied if we returned an item to you. This is not transparent enough in my opinion and should be clearer.
You have no policy on complaints on your website so I have emailed via your website to ask how to lodge a formal complaint.
This is greed at its very best in my opinion and we are basically being told that our experience with the tool we ordered isn't true because you can make it work. I hope to hear back from Hilltop in response to my contact us form to discuss the complaint overall

appalling customer service.
Appalling company.
Paid for item to be delivered within a certain period, it arrived very late so was obsolete. They would not refund the delivery charge or accept a return.
Read their reviews before purchasing from them.
Lots of complaints.
I’m not interested in a response from Hill Tops as they made it very clear they were not going to help.
If they respond now it’s only to wriggle out of a bad review.

Wish I could give less than 1 star. Absolutely appalling customer service. Bought a hot air welder and nozzle, nozzle didn’t fit the welder so we needed to return. I was told they needed to deduct 15% for restocking fee even though on eBay they give 30 days free returns. I originally bought through eBay, they then send you an email to try and encourage you to buy direct with them and cancel eBay order. What a scam!! Take an eternity to answer your emails also. Would never buy from there again.

Was looking for an uncommon solution within the agro industry. Needed to do some tests and found that my contact Michaela was hugely helpful. Got material and some additional samples and so far everything looks good. I am particularly happy with the support I received from Hilltop. We have only started tests and new developments may require different materials, but I entirely convinced that we will find the optimum solution.

Very disappointed. I bought sleeve expander just before Christmas as gift to my son. He used it three times on neoprene sleeve also bought from them. The toll broke after third use ( the tip of one of the spikes snapped off) its small defect but makes tool unusable as it punctures sleeve during the application. I contacted them and did not believe what I was hearing. In very rude tone I got told that their tools don’t break and they suggested that my son must use it with wrong sleeve- they did not know that sleeve was bought from them as well. I asked them for the replacement of the spike ( very small part of the tool) because I did not get any response I contacted PayPal and currently awaiting refund

In response to Hilltop’s lies published as replay to my review :
The materials used with the expander were also purchased and recommended by Hilltop.
Additionally I never mentioned that whole spike broke off - only part of it did however it makes tool unusable. I have provided you with the pictures clearly showing demage.

Reading your reviews it is clear that you are never at fault and you always blaming your customers.

GUYS all negative comments about this company are 100% true. Don’t waste your money with them

Unacceptable customer service. I paid for a product. No delivery in 2 weeks and I'm still chasing my money. I try to call them a few times a day but who's dealing with my case is keep ignoring me. Outrageous!!!

Ordered face visors after a discussion with the sales team regarding our requirements. Delivered very quickly and product is simple yet effective and at a great price!

Ordered several sizes of clear heat shrink. When they arrived, one of them was a yellowish, opaque colour. Very much not "clear." On enquiring, I was told that this is the colour of that size and was given no apology.
Upon receiving this "explanation", I replied to demand a return of the product and a refund (it remains unopened). I have not been contacted since, they're avoiding me.

Avoid.

Later edit: I provided my order number in response to the vendor's reply. It is now another 2 months later and I've had no further response. So they don't care - they're just trying to make it look like they do

Good product. Clear parcel tape. Does the job intended. Arrived in time. Thank you.
