With a group of 10 Belgian hikers, we did the 8-day Pembrokeshire Coastal Path last June. It was fantastic, thanks to the good weather and the excellent organisation by Hillwalktours, which I can highly recommend 👍👍👏

Hillwalk Tours handled everything we needed - lodgings, luggage transfers, directions and more. We got ourselves to the starting point; everything else was taken care of. Friendly and helpful staff answered all of our questions promptly and courteously. Will definitely book with them again..

With Hillwalk Tours you can book a tailor-made trip. You choose the time, the number of days and the difficulty of the walking route. The communication with the Hillwalk Tours team is fantastic! They are involved, helpful and very friendly. The B&Bs are all good. The information package is very extensive and complete. After two trips with Hillwalk Tours I can highly recommend this organization.

Our first-ever inn-to-inn hike, and we’re completely smitten with the Cotswold Way.

Winding through rolling hills, wildflower meadows, breezy woodlands, ancient stone walls and storybook villages, this path is the definition of English countryside charm. Every step is steeped in history and honey-hued stone, with adorable sheep dotting the fields and views that make you pause & smile at every mile.

The trail is part hike, part treasure hunt—with twists, turns, hidden markers, and quirky stone stiles that feel like puzzles to solve and gates that blend right into hedgerows. Each one felt like a level completed in a beautifully handcrafted game.

Yes, there were steep inclines and tricky descents, but the reward? Scones sliced in half, layered with jam and clotted cream—thick, rich, and indulgent. Crispy fish & chips for dinner hit the spot. And Cider. Absolutely perfect after an 11 mile day.

The weather was more beautiful than we could have imagined. We met some fine folks along the way, and ended each day at charming inns with great food and drink—including the best truffle goat cheese pizza we’ve ever had (though the 11 miles may have helped!).

77 miles in 7 days. ✅ What a trip!

Now we’re hooked. And dreaming of the next one already.

We meant to train... but didn’t. 😅 Despite a few blisters, some knee pain, sore hamstrings, and the occasional shin splint, it was absolutely worth it.

We used Hillwalk Tours -- they made the experience seamless—they transported our luggage, booked our inns and breakfasts, and provided excellent maps, directions, suggested stops, and a helpful hiking app. All we had to do was carry a daypack and enjoy the journey. What a way to live for a week!

Great experience. They took care of everything from booking the B&Bs, the detailed trail notes, transferring my luggage each day, and any shuttles between the hikes, all I had to do was show up at the first location. The hike itself was beautiful. Definitely want to do this again.

This is our third Hillwalk hike, we love this company so much! This time we did Portugal's Fisherman's Trail. The accommodations were absolutely fantastic! The directions were perfect. Looking forward to booking hike #4!

We had a great trip with Hillwalk Tours along the Dingle Peninsula. They were always there when we had questions or concerns. We were so happy with the whole experience.

We did the Northern Irish coast, Ballycastle to Portstewart. This was not my first self-guided walking tour, but it will be my last with Hillwalk. The inns were sufficient (and one was truly wonderful) but several were poorly located and some were very spare. The walks themselves were grand, but the information from Hillwalk was spotty, sloppy, and occasionally inaccurate. (I'm not referring to the directions, which were fine, but the walk mostly follows the Great Ulster Way, which is well sign posted.) All luggage transfers were reliable. It was very clear that Hillwalk does not have a local representative in Northern Ireland as their information, cultural notes, food suggestions, and so on were so off the mark and/or out-of-date.

We would absolutely hike the Causeway Coast again as the walks and views are spectacular. We also loved the Seabird Centre on Rathlin Island and strongly recommend that anyone considering this area tack on the ferry ride and day hike here. In addition to using a different tour service, I would also recommend walking from west to east (Portstewart to Ballycastle) so that the prevailing winds are at your back.

We hiked the northern Irish coast from Ballintoy to Portstewart. The hikes were fun, challenging at times, but never too difficult. Hillwalk Tours did an excellent job of setting up the whole trip up. The B&Bs were lovely. The towns were charming. The views along the hike were just amazing. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see mother nature's finest in Northern Ireland.

My niece, our friend and I walked the Dingle Way in June of 2022. Hillwalk Tours planned our itinerary and arranged for our luggage to be transported to each of the unique and lovely Bed and Breakfast homes, guest houses or hotels along the way. We were all happy with the itinerary and services provided by Hillwalk Tours. The walk itself was an adventure, difficult at times (mostly due to weather) but the scenery was incredible! We met fellow travellers along the trail and were treated with kindness by all of our hosts and enjoyed starting our days with complete breakfasts. My companions walked for 10 days and completed 121 miles! I skipped a couple of walks and traveled with the luggage instead, which worked out surprisingly well.

My advice for those walking the Dingle Way is to build in a day to explore Dingle! And make sure your rain gear is truly waterproof!

Amazing. We did the gentle self guided walking tour of the Northern coast. Ballycastle to Portstewart. The accommodation were wonderful. The walking guide easy to file. Transfers (Sam's taxi) fabulous. I cant think of anything that could be better This trip overflowed my bucket list. This company is extraordinary

This was our first time booking this type of vacation. The hike, scenery, bed and breakfasts and the lovely people that ran them we’re fantastic; Hillwalk somehow was the cherry on the proverbial ice-cream sundae of this whole trip. After it was over, my husband and I (who are well traveled - work in the airline business) couldn’t have put together something like this. Every last detail, from their selections of BnB’s, luggage delivery, to the detailed information packet and to the trail markers, we we’re so relaxed. I must have asked 20 questions (vis email) before our trip and each one was answered with courtesy, timeliness and advise that was extremely helpful. Upon returning, many of our friends and saw our pictures and thought it looked fantastic. We’ve already recommended them to several of them and will definitely be booking with Hillwalk again. I can’t say enough good things.

While the setting was amazing and the accommodations very, very nice, the main reason I am rating Hillwalk so high has to do with the level of support they provide their walkers. A few days before we were set to start our walk, my partner tripped and sprained an ankle - and we were worried she could not continue. While the Dr told her to stay active, we just weren't sure that walking 8-10 miles a day would be possible. it was too close to the start date to cancel so I asked the team at Hillwalk for contingency plans - and ideas on what to do if the planned route was too difficult. They were very good about sharing ideas and options, checked in with us constantly to see how things were going and if there was anything more they could do to make our trip worthwhile. It was nice to know they were willing to work with us in a way that helped us salvage this portion of our holiday and have a grand time on the Antrim Coast. I also heard from several of our B&B hosts that Hillwalk was the best company to work with from their side - most professional and organized. Which was good to hear as well. The route notes were extremely detailed - no way anyone could get lost - and the logistics of luggage transfer and pick-ups all went smoothly. We are already making plans for our next walk with Hillwalk!

Amazing! 5 star service with 5 star accommodations. Great walking, views, food, friends. Our trip to Ireland with Hillwalk Tours was truly magical. The company could not have done more to make sure we enjoyed the trip. The accommodations were lovely, the views spectacular and the events were well planned. Just walked Wicklow Way in Ireland and everything was organized flawlessly by Hillwalk Tours. Very satisfied with everything. We will for sure be back.

I walked the Kerry Way / Southwest Ireland between July 15 and 25 in the ‚challenging‘ version. It was perfectly organized by Hillwalktours. The selected B&B‘s, the information package, the direct and personal contact to the staff - there is virtually nothing to criticize.
Since the weather was unexpectedly very good my trip was fantastic.

Everything was well-planned and explained in the packet they sent to us. We loved the hotels and B&Bs, and everyone along the way was so helpful. This was our first walking tour ever and it was nice knowing that someone (not me) had thought of everything before we left. I never felt like I had to worry about accommodations or anything. We were able to use the information to get from place to place, but also to make changes as needed. Will definitely book with them again!
