I would buy from Homesquare again
After purchasing a 7-piece dining set from Homesquare I saw the reviews on this website and got really nervous that I made a mistake purchasing from this company. Thankfully, my experience was wonderful. I had no issues from order to delivery.
Homesquare sent emails confirming my order as well as updates on shipping. When I received the shipping notice it said 5 boxes when I ordered a 7-piece set. That made me worried 2 items were missing. Therefore, I reached out to Homesquare via email (they do not have a live person when you call, and they direct you to email which is my only disappointment). They were quick to respond to my email and said they reached out to the manufacturer to confirm the number of boxes in the shipment. They followed up once the manufacturer responded and assured me there were 7 pieces within the 5 boxes.
Communication from the transit company and delivery service was excellent throughout as well. Delivery was smooth and the boxes arrived undamaged. My husband and I put together the dining set (which was surprisingly easy) and found it to be far better quality than we had hoped. Nothing was damaged and no missing pieces.
I wanted to submit my review because the reviews on this website scared me. Had I not purchased before seeing the reviews, I would not have purchased from this company. However, my fear was unfounded and I'm happy to say my experience with this company and the quality of the set we purchased outweighed my expectations. I would buy from Homesquare again.
DO NOT ORDER!
DO NOT ORDER! It is now almost mid-January. I am still waiting for 2 missing sofa cushions for a sofa bed I ordered on December 18, 2023, to be delivered December 22, 2023. First problem? Delivery was 5 days late -- no explanation or notification. Second problem? Only 2 of the 3 boxes were delivered on December 27, Third problem? The missing box that finally arrived did not include 2 of the 3 cushions that make up the back of the sofa bed. Still waiting for a resolution. They clearly couldn't care less!

ZERO stars! We placed an order 11/22/23 through Walmart. A pair of dressers, to be gifted as a Christmas gift. Once put together, the day after Christmas, we noticed how lopsided it appeared. None of the pre-drilled holes lined up correctly. The drawers don't slide well. We've sent numerous emails and pictures to back up our statements for proof. Customer Service is a crock of poop. They won't do a return, because the item was purchased over 30 days ago. They've ignored my last 2 emails about how I shouldn't be stuck with such poorly made dressers, and would like return them. Calling customer service does no good either. What a waste of time and money!
Zero stars should be an option
I wish I would have listened to these reviews. I ordered from them through Walmart instead of directly, thinking it would protect me from the awful experiences others have had... WRONG. They delayed my delivery three times until I threatened to leave a bad review if my order wasn't delivered in the next week. When they saw this, they cancelled my order all together & now my family of 5 will spend yet another month without furniture as we have to start this process all the way over again with a new company. Absolutely horrible company & the delivery service they use as well, Metropolitan Warehouse, is equally as terrible. I'm a read all reviews type of girl, please read this & STAY AWAY!

The WORST company - AVOID!!
The WORST company you can possibly order from. They sent us defective/broken dining room chairs - we paid $1,600 for a set of 4.
I mean the WORST customer service for something at this price point that I have ever experienced. We tried to reach out multiple times and only received 1 response during those times that was totally insufficient. The rest of the times they ignored us.
STAY AWAY - do NOT purchase anything from them.

As with most reviews about this company, we have experienced the same problems. No communication, no confirmation of shipping, no customer service to help. They take your money and then ignore your requests for updates. Do NOT order from them!

I only purchased my bed because they offered the fastest delivery. THIS IS A LIE. What should have been delivered on the 13th is not being delivered on the 21st because Homesquare lie to you so you make a purchase. The delivery company explained their policy to me and clearly Homesquare provide fake information. I have severe PTSD, anxiety, a mass that recently was found and weakness/pain throughout my body. I actually explained this to them and why it’s so important for me to get the bed as soon as possible. THEY OBVIOUSLY STILL LIED AND DID NOT HAVE ANY CONCERN AT ALL FOR THE DETRIMENTAL BALANCE OF MY HEALTH. This is near evil and atrocious. I have ended up in the ER three times in the past week from medical episodes. These people are heartless and ruthless. Customer service is clearly nonexistent.
HomeSquare is just another name for thief
HomeSquare does not accept returns (even on defective items) and you will be ignored if you reach out to their customer service.
I made the unfortunate decision of ordering two chairs and a loveseat from HomeSquare. Both the loveseat and one of the chairs were defective on arrival, making assembly an exercise in futility.
Their website claims that they accept returns and damaged or defective items are exempt from restocking fees and return shipping costs. That is a lie.
When I reached out to initiate a return, HomeSquare provided a return address but insisted that I cover the return shipping costs. These shipping costs were almost as high as the original purchase price.
I attempted to communicate with their customer service team, hoping for a glimmer of reason or integrity. Instead, my requests for prepaid return labels or the coverage of return shipping costs — as per their own policy — were met with the resounding silence.
Do not order from this company if there is the slightest chance you will need to return the product for any reason. You will not receive a response or a refund.

Wrong Color Table, same as review from 4/18/23 except I ordered natural and got walnut. I emailed with a member of their sales team before purchasing because the website pictures are wrong for the color product. Now the customer service says it's color variation. No, it's walnut, not what I was told to order!!! They will not send me the right product unless I pay to return the wrong product. I should have paid a little more and purchased from Wayfair.

Lamps ordered were not as representated in pictures- supposed to be silver but we’re horrible bright gold. False advertising! Even though wrong color I am told I have to pay to ship/buy insurance which is such a scam. Update: After weeks of speaking to Walmart help line they decided to side with Homesquare and I will NEVER buy another thing from that store.
Wrong Color Table
This Table that I ordered is not the color as represented in the photos and instruction. It is very light colored not walnut . Not only that they ship completely wrong item first time and even second time they not send correct item. What is more Home Square doesn’t cover return shipping costs even if the product is incorrect and places tons of stipulations and roadblocks to getting a return. My recommendation is buy from a different and reputable company. Just do yourself a favor and avoid them at all cost!

Buyer beware. This chair that I ordered is not the color as represented in the photos. It is very light colored - off white. NO customer service!!
I ordered a really expensive sofa from this company. They sent me an email with some trucking company that I cannot Google and find, and when I click on the link for the tracking, it asked me to enter in a number but there's no place to enter the number. I called them to find out where my sofa is as my credit cards already been billed and I get an answering machine that tells me to send an email and wait a day or two. There's a reason this company has lousy reviews on the Internet.
Poor customer service-false advertising
I had the misfortune of making a purchase from Homesquare. When the item arrived it was not the colour that was advertised. They would not stand behind their product despite sending pictures and even stating in an email to me the colour it was “supposed” to be. Clear case of false advertising and a gross lack of customer service. We had to drive over an hour to do a return at our expense. Apparently the poor ratings online for this company are well earned and we will never make a purchase from Homesquare again.

Since leaving this review, I was contacted by Homesquare's customer service and they ultimately ended up crediting me half the cost of the unit for my troubles. They were very nice -- though I should say that they contacted me as a result of this review, not the emails I sent to their customer service. They also offered to pick up the unit and bring me a new box, but I did NOT want to put it together again. In the long run, I'd recommend them for "get what you pay for" furniture. But if you're a person who wants problem free but aren't willing to pay more, I'd look elsewhere. For me, it worked out okay. Not enough for me to add stars, but not enough for me to remove them. They deserve the ding to their ratings, but also credit noted for the eventual attempts to make it right.

Last week, I purchased two pieces of bedroom furniture from Home Square. Having never heard of them, I did a little research. Finding mixed reviews, I chose to move forward because I really did like the pieces I was buying and they weren't available everywhere. Home Square also had a good price. That's on me. I choose to proceed despite mixed reviews.
The ordering was easy enough, and the purchase confirmation was emailed quickly. However, I received four different emails confirming the items were shipped. The first two were identical, the second two now showed an additional item that I DID NOT order. Same order number, different tracking number (oddly enough.)
Hoping to remedy this as soon as possible, I looked for a customer service number to call. When you call, you WILL NOT be able to speak to a person. The only option for residential purchases is email. I thought maybe I'd sign in to my Home Square account and check to see if I could get to the bottom of this mistake, but my password did not work. So I clicked Forgot Password and was sent an email to reset it. When I clicked the link to reset, I was sent to webpage with a "404. Page Not Found" error message. So I can't talk to a person, I can't go online and find answers, so I sent an email to the customer service email address (which is cs at homesquare dot com -- had to spell it out here because this site doesn't let you have email address in your reviews) -- my only recourse for help. The message on the phone tells you it could take up to 48 hours to get a response. Not enough time to help you solve the problem.
Is this the end of the world? No. And if it all works out, I'll ultimately be glad I made the purchase. But it's stressing me out and making for a terrible shopping experience and most definitely will not use Home Square or Cymax again. It's just not worth it when there are tons of other options out there. That's why I gave two stars. If this works out, I'll be fine -- and, I purchased from this site knowing the reviews were mixed. But the annoyance alone is worth the removal of the other three stars. If this doesn't work out and things get more difficult, I'll be back on here to update my review to one star.

Update:02-17-23 today I called and was able to speak to customer service. They gave the option to return/replace or accept a 25% return off the purchase price. Glad they were willing to take responsibility.
Unfortunately I did not read the reviews before I purchased 2 book cabinets. Both were damaged. I immediately emailed photos to their customer service with no response. If I call the number listed, you can place an order with a live person, if you need to speak with customer service it says email us and we’ll get back to you. No response in days… that speaks volumes.
Home Square crooks/very bad company
It has been over 1 year that I’ve been fighting with this company to resolve my issue regarding a refund. This is the worst company ever! Never, never ever buy anything from this company they are a sham, linked with bestbuy possibly fraudulent company however Bestbuy won’t help and they won’t help. I have lost all confidence in Bestbuy also over this issue. I purchase one office chair on the Best Buy website and I cannot get resolution neither from BestBuy or this horrible fraudulent home square company. I have been dealing with the so called “Reputation Manager” who promised many things to resolve my issue, the last thing they asked for was my bank info. Account number etc., so they can send the funds direct to my bank account which never came…then they stop responding. I have been dealing with Travis ..he lies and makes you think he will resolve the issue he has even offered me a daybed that never came wow!! I simply cannot believe that this company exist in Canada. One Promise “ As I have previously stated a few times now.
