I ordered my wife a bracelet and earrings the packaging and jewellery I received couldn’t have been more perfect we received a lovely welcome letter from Izzy what brilliant customer service we both couldn’t have been happier I will definitely be recommending to family and friends and will definitely be ordering again

Amazing experience as they offered me to return a bracelet which i had purchased for someones birthday which was slightly big but offered me to return it for adjustment.

After noticing the brand on Made in Chelsea, I thought I’d try it out and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. It’s refreshing to find good quality products at such reasonable prices.

Very pleased with the ring. The stone looks realistic, though a medium size would have been a better fit.

Absolutely beautiful Letia ring. Was sceptical regarding the oh-so-positive reviews; where's the catch. But I was so excited when I opened my ring just stunning and sparkly and arrived so quickly. Ordered Sunday ... on my finger Wednesday 11am... but then put back in its box for special occasions. Gorgeous packaging and additional little pink ring pouch... love love love and cannot wait for its first big outing.

Amazing company and very personable! My daughters partner had arranged to propose in the Maldives which was a once in a lifetime trip for them and he really wanted a replica engagement ring for her to use when in the sea or generally travelling around so that the real one could be kept safe, he also wasn’t a 100% on the size so this was half a size bigger than the other and fit perfectly! So this ring was perfect, she loves it as much as the original in many ways. The service and communication was excellent from Gina, from start to finish she was so helpful and even chased delivery to ensure it arrived in time for their trip. Thank you so much!

I purchased a ring from House of Carats, but the stone fell out just three days later. Although I did eventually receive a refund, the process involved considerable back-and-forth and required repeated references to the Consumer Rights Act. It seemed there was a lack of understanding that when goods are found faulty shortly after receipt, customers have stronger rights than for a simple change-of-mind return. The company repeatedly referred to a warranty, which was not relevant in this situation, and used a low-cost returns service that meant I couldn’t return the ring in its original packaging. Returning faulty goods should not cost the customer anything, yet I was asked to purchase a padded envelope and later pay a Royal Mail surcharge due to unclear instructions (which they acknowledged). Although they eventually agreed to pay the surcharge themselves, they then processed an exchange despite my request for a refund.

I also suspect they rely on AI for parts of their customer service, as some interactions were quite baffling. On one occasion, I emailed to ask why a replacement ring had been sent despite my request for a refund, and received what read like a generic, ChatGPT-style response, a cheery summary of our previous correspondence that ended by stating that an exchange had been processed, without addressing my question.

More than a month after first raising the issue, I finally received a full refund and apology. Shortly after posting my original Trustpilot review, a manager contacted me and was very helpful in resolving the matter. However, the overall experience involved unnecessary hassle, so I don’t feel able to give a higher rating.

I strongly advise caution when dealing with House of Carats.

I attempted to return a pair of earrings within the legal cooling-off period. The item was completely unopened and the hygiene seal was intact, meaning it was clearly eligible for return under UK consumer law.

However, the company refused the return outright and claimed that earrings are “non-returnable” under their policy.

This is incorrect and misleading. UK law allows hygiene-related items to be excluded from returns only if the seal has been broken. In my case it had not been.

Their customer service team were dismissive and unhelpful, repeatedly ignoring the legal position and simply repeating their internal policy.

Because they refused to comply with basic consumer rights, I had no choice but to pursue the matter through my card provider and legal channels to recover my money.

It is extremely concerning when a retailer appears to ignore statutory consumer protections and rely on policies that contradict the law.

Customers should be aware of their rights when purchasing from this company.
