Received the item and was very disappointed with the quality compared to the website photos. I contacted the company immediately to request a refund within their advertised 30-day returns period.

Despite multiple emails, they repeatedly offered store credit instead of processing a refund to the original payment method. Their website states refunds are available, but in correspondence they would only offer store credit, even if the item was returned (at my cost).

I’ve now had to raise a dispute with my card provider after being unable to resolve the matter directly, I would avoid anything from this website

Awful company, awful products with very poor quality materials. Very unhelpful when trying to return items, constantly trying to offer you store credits.

Don't waste your money, stay far away from them.

This company does not deserve even 1 star. The item I received was completely different from what was advertised on their website — different colour, different design, and very poor quality compared to the product photos and description.

Delivery took almost a month, and when I contacted customer service regarding a refund, the process became extremely difficult and delayed with unnecessary back-and-forth questioning about the product itself.

I have now reported the transaction to my bank as “item not as described” and will also be reporting the business through the appropriate consumer channels.
PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. Based on my experience, the product I received was nothing like what was advertised, and the refund process has been extremely difficult.

I would also encourage people to look beyond the reviews displayed on the company’s own website and check independent review platforms before ordering.

What I received looked nothing like what I ordered. I ordered a yellow maxi dress and it came as a two piece, cream colored, TERRIBLE QUALITY. It is awful and I will never wear it and they aren’t sending me a return form.

Received the wrong item they then tried to get me to pay for part of the replacement or in order to get a refund which is not legal in the UK as the goods were not as promised. Shipping also took a really long time initially.

Sizing is incorrect, and much bigger than items should be. When you need to return due to there sizings. They offer 15% off another purchase or advise you need to pay and follow a ‘costly process’ to do so.

Edit* after going back and forward they have advised me even if I pay to send the item back to them, they will only give me store credit for a future purchase. Going against there own t&cs

Avoid this scammy company at all costs

I recently purchased a dress from Hudson Claye and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.

The dress itself was not as expected in terms of quality. The material is quite see-through at the bottom, with a visible line where the inner slip ends, which was not clear from the product images.

When I contacted customer service to arrange a return, I was asked to provide photos (which I did), but the process has been difficult and slow. Rather than providing straightforward return instructions, I was offered store credit instead, which I did not want. Ive still not been able to return the item after several emails.

Customers should be aware that returns are not as simple as with UK-based retailers, and you may need to pay for international return postage.

Overall, the process has been frustrating, and I am still trying to resolve the return for a refund.

I placed an order on 14.03.26. The item I ordered was described as an ivory wool double breasted fully lined coat. I need this item for a specific date. I noted the registered address was London, so made the assumption it would take 3-5 days to be delivered. Once ordered, I received an email stating the item was coming from China. 2 days after purchase, I made a request to have this cancelled. I was told I could not cancel as it had been shipped. I was then provided tracking details which showed the item was not shipped until 23.03.26.
When I finally received the item, it was not as described. It was not wool, it was not lined and it certainly was not worth the £55 I paid. I requested a refund and for 1 week the company tried to force me to keep the item, offer a 10%, then 30% refund if I kept the item. Every time, I told them I wanted a refund, this fell on deaf ears. Eventually I was left with no option but to demand a refund. I returned the item on 04.04.26, provided the tracking details and to date (04.05.26), I have yet to receive my refund. I have since sent an email asking when I will receive my refund only to or be told I must supply shipping detail and wait u til the item has been received, checked and only then I will get my refund.
I am disgusted that it has now been 1 month since I returned the item and I have not had any communication from the company.

Really slow delivery and when they arrived, the shorts were if poor quality and were way bigger than their sizing suggested.
When asked about return, they suggested a 10% store credit, because the return address is in China. Scammy company. My learning point: always look at reviews of company!

⚠️ WARNING – Avoid this company ⚠️

Don’t be fooled by a company calling themselves “Hudson Claye” which was called “Hudson Grace” just a month or two ago.

I ordered a jacket from them and it arrived in terrible condition — stitching coming out, torn, and completely unwearable. When I tried to return it, they told me I had to ship it back to China at my own cost, which was never made clear at purchase.

After a long 5-month dispute with Klarna, I’ve finally managed to get my £65 refunded.

This appears to be a dropshipping operation selling extremely low-quality clothing and avoiding proper UK consumer standards. They also seem to change names, which is a big red flag 🚩

Please be careful and don’t get caught out like I did. If something feels off with a website, trust your gut

I would rate it 0 if I could. This is the worst company, I’m still in shock. I ordered a shoe which looked different to the pictures on the website. I tried to return it, I called the number on their website multiple times and no one picked up. I decided to send an email as there was no other way to return it, imagine my surprise when they tried to give me 15% store credit instead of a full refund! I had to exchange multiple emails with them over 2 days and their final offer was 60% store credit. I’m so disappointed because I wanted nothing to do with them after this shoe. Emily refused to give me a full refund. I have been forced to keep a shoe I do not want. I kept insisting I would prefer to pay the cost of the return for a full refund but EMILY kept insisting I keep the shoe. I’m so disappointed because this shoe was for a wedding. Don’t bother buying from them and don’t be fooled, you won’t be able to return the shoe though the website says otherwise!

Wife bought a bag from them. Never arrived. Customer service stopped responding. Having to contact card company to claim my money back. Best to avoid.

This would be a 0 rating. Do not buy from this company! The jacket I received is terrible and not as described and you cannot return items unless at great expense. I am trying to work out how to report them.

Doesn't feel cheap like some other brands. It is really clean and works good for both casual and fancy outfits and the material hasn't stretched out after wearing it for four weeks. - it feels like it will last a really long time and it arrived in great condition 10/10

Formally known as Hudson Grace and now conveniently changed the name due to the overwhelming bad reviews. Do not buy from this site the quality is poor and returns are not in the UK. They are not a UK based company. Offered me a 10% refund on an item that was £50 if I keep the item. I chose to pay the shipping to CHINA only for it never to arrive at the return address. Parcel is stuck in customs. Scammers!
