I initially had a positive viewing with Darren, who gave me the impression that his recommendation carried significant weight with the landlord regarding who would be selected.
​However, after having to follow up on an email sent on Friday, I received a response today that completely contradicted this initial conversation, shifting all responsibility away from what was previously discussed.
​Due to this lack of transparency, coupled with slow communication turnaround times, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding and have withdrawn my offer. Disappointed with how this process was handled.

I can't really fault the service we got from Hythe and Waterside, especially from Tina who went above and beyond to close the sale. Any frustrations were with the overall system of buying and selling property in England.

Tina the sales co ordinator, chased my buyers,&our solicitor's as well as her sellers solicitor. Was a really stressful time, but she kept reassuring me we'd get there. Sold 27th Feb exchanged 15th june. The whole experience was fantastic. Darren the agent was lovely didn't rush us let me go back to measure garden, knew how committed we were. Reassured buyers we were a good fit, to purchase their property.
Highly recommend Hythe and waterside, I would definitely sell or buy through them, if we in that position again. But we've brought our forever home from them. Extremely grateful.

From the viewing to the exchange, we couldn't have asked for more. Buying and selling is stressful, but Tina was amazing. She was so helpful, calm and responded to communications quickly and even out of normal business hours, going above and beyond for us and our seller. Tina wanted us to both secure our new homes and worked so hard to get us there. Fantastic service, even when she was facing loss in her world. We cannot thank her enough for keeping her eye on the prize for us all. Highly recommend!!

The best estate agents we have ever used. Darren helped my family out of an awful situation. We went to Darren with only 5 days to find somewhere new to live and he had us all confirmed for a new place within 3 days. Darren made the impossible happen and myself and my family are so incredibly grateful for him and will never forget his kindness, understanding and how good he is at his job.
Darren was very professional throughout and really had a good understanding of every property they had available and was able to pick the best one for us.

I have bought, sold and rented out a property with this agent. They have always been professional, reliable and friendly. They take pride in the service they provide, their knowledge of the area and the property market.

I instructed H&W to sell my property. After they had started, I discovered that they did not use Rightmove to advertise properties (despite emails from the Sales team containing the Rightmove logo). After nearly 3 days of debating this and chasing them, they finally used another estate agents to list my property, causing confusion to buyers.
I was unhappy with how they were marketing it and requested to cancel my contract with them. In response they effectively told me that I was wrong and lied to me about how it had been marketed. I again, requested it be cancelled and I received the most rude, obnoxious email from Christina which effectively told me that I had no idea what I was talking about, just to let them get on with it, told me I had no honour and even brought my current employment into it! I'm so upset with the disgusting email that I had that I have now completely blocked their numbers and emails.

Gold standard customer service, knowledgeable, experienced, hard working, affable, courteous and problem solvers when required. Thank you Darren and Angela.

Right from the onset, the care and attention given by all the staff at Hythe and Waterside has been great!! Their emails/phone calls are prompt and clear. They’re a great team who are willing to help in sometimes stressful situations. Highly recommend.

Professional and easy procress

The only agents to treat us like humans, so full of kindness and compassion they went above and beyond to help us find our next rental property. We couldn’t appreciate them more, such a wonderful team with an astounding attitude and work ethic.

Darren has persevered with this sale for many months before we were ready to market, and always sounds professional and knowledgeable; cheerfully negotiating two deals, the second after we were let down.
The office team, fronted by Maddie is always communicative, and flexible when I edited the brochure (sorry). They are organised, and chase the professionals to ensure things move on and don't fall down cracks. (Hope the pro's don't mind - but that's their problem).

Darren and Maddie have made dealing with Waterside a pleasure. Darren has been very helpful in the negotiation process and in arranging several viewings to the property.
He and Maddie have been excellent in progressing the sale and keeping us well informed at every stage. Maddie particularly has kept right on top of the whole process regularly reporting to us and presumably the sellers. In summary, they take the whole sale process very seriously and are very customer focused.

We have used both the Lettings and Sales side of Hythe and Waterside Lettings. The staff are very good at keeping you informed of what's going on and they are very pleasant to deal with.
