Indi Dog レビュー

I decided to order two harnesses for my podenco after seeing that Hope for Podencos uses harnesses from this shop. Unfortunately, I have been very disappointed with the experience.

I placed my order nearly a month ago and, despite sending several emails and WhatsApp messages, I have not received any response or update regarding my order. I still want the harnesses and am not seeking a refund or cancellation, but the lack of communication has been extremely frustrating.

I understand this is a small family-run business, but customers should be kept informed, especially when there are delays. Had I read some of the reviews here beforehand, I would have thought more carefully before placing my order.

I hope the company improves its communication with customers in the future.

I have ordered from Indi-dog in the past and found their harnesses to be well made, good quality and long lasting.
The ‘Escape proof adjustable Houdini harness’ is an upgrade from the one I have previously bought with different hardware. The new version is adjustable in more places than the older version so it fits perfectly.
Thank you!

When you own dogs that are escape artists, you need a harness that is up to the task of keeping them physically safe and secure. For the past two years, Indi-Dog has completely eliminated that worry, allowing us to fully enjoy our walks with absolute peace of mind. However a proper ergonomic fit is also non-negotiable for us a both of my small/toy breed dogs attend physiotherapy. Finding a harness that satisfies exacting physio specifications while keeping slippery, small dogs secure is difficult, but Indi-Dog completely delivers. ✨

Why this brand stands out:

• Physio-Approved Design: Our physiotherapist praises the harness because it sits clear of the shoulder joints, ensuring a natural gait with no pinching or pressure points.

• Saved Me Money on Rehab Gear: When one of my dogs needed cruciate surgery, our physiotherapist assured me the harness would meet our rehab needs within the first week, making an expensive, specialised medical harness unnecessary. This advice saved me a considerable amount during a stressful recovery.

• Good Control & Support: The two-point attachment (with lead clips at the chest and back) gives me the precise control needed for careful physiotherapy and rehab walks. The fleece padding offers comfort with no rubbing or irritation.

• Perfect Custom Fit: The custom harness I ordered two years ago for my older dog—who is lean and long but broad in the chest—remains the best-fitting harness he has ever worn.

• Optional Neck Clips: For dogs who are head-shy and dislike harnesses being slipped over their ears, the neck clip option is well worth the small extra cost.

Advice for Owners of Light-Coloured Dogs:

If your dog has a light-coloured coat, consider your fabric choice. Light fabrics show dirt more easily, while darker tones hide stains but may leach dye onto your dog’s fur after repeated washing over time.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind:

• Lengthy Turnaround Times: As these harnesses are handmade to order, be prepared for a wait. The craftsmanship, however, is worth it.

• Website Option Overload: The website offers a wide array of choices for hardware, webbing, and padding. Take your time to find the right combination for your dog’s needs.

• Hardware Bulk: On my petite 3.7kg toy breed, the hardware appears somewhat bulky, but the security and fit are well worth this minor trade-off.

💡 Pro-Tip for Weight & Coat Fluctuations: If your dog’s weight or coat changes throughout the year, let Indi-Dog know before ordering so they can help you get the best fit.

Every dog’s needs are unique, so I always recommend consulting your own physiotherapist or vet with any questions about harness suitability.

Verdict

the Indi-Dog harness has provided safety, comfort, and peace of mind for us, meeting both physiotherapy standards and the challenges of keeping escape-prone dogs secure on everday walks. Knowing my dogs are structurally supported, safe from escaping, and wearing gear that genuinely outlasts the competition is worth every penny. I recommend this brand to anyone with similar needs. 🏆

The collar is great - good quality and it arrived quickly. I couldn't ask for better service.

Never had any news, never received the product nor the refund.
Don’t shop there !

I'm in love with the Houdini harness and all the leads I bought! Yes the shipment took a lot, at some point I was afraid I was not going to receive them, but when I did they saved the new relationship with my Podenco girl and I couldn't be happier. Yes, communication can be improved if there are issue with the shipping but patience is key when people are doing such an amazing job with what they produce. Thank you!

Excellent quality product. I love that the whole harness is adjustable as my dog is very deep chested. The purple colour is so rich and looks amazing against the black fur of my dog.
I know people have complained about the length of time it takes the order to arrive, but for me I was happy to wait as I am supporting a small business and my harness is being specially made, and it still arrived well within the time frame stated at the time of ordering.

Easy to order, just difficult to choose from a great selection of colours, materials and styles. Finally, ordered a padded quick slip collar in orange with a patterned orange padded lining. Added the personalised tag to the collar too. Brilliant idea, as it sits on the collar and doesn't dangle down.
Very pleased with collar. Very well made with premium materials. So pleased I ordered the collar with the trigger clip as it can be released without pulling it over the dogs head. This particular baby has bad ears so that is a bonus.
Excellent purchase.

Excellent harness, safe and so good looking on my dog

Shipping took longer than expected and I wish communication had been a bit more forthcoming, but I would order from this company again. They were honest and pleasant to deal with and the harnesses are everything I’d hoped for. They work great for my pups and are beautiful.

Great product and good communication

Great quality harness made really well thank you

Brilliant.
Well made, quality piece.
Well padded and plenty of adjustment options.
Really pleased, love it!
100& recommend.

Excellent product bought figure 8 in orange lined in black for my orange and white pointer. It’s beautifully made lovely soft padding for over his nose. Easy to get on and off. Would definitely recommend this company. I found them by recommendation from a fellow pointer owner

Absolutely love our new harness. We went for a custom escape proof harness, it fits perfectly and is ideal for my lurcher and his unusual proportions. I love that we could pick the colours and the quality is fab. Great value for money. Now just have to try not to buy one in every colour way I can think of!

Great quality products. I am very pleased with my purchases.

Great fit and is really well made great quality at a great price price

I ordered a harness on 15th March After 7 days I asked for an update and was told it took 7 days to make and would be dispatched in 2 further days… still no sign of harness, no replies to e mail and telephone number on website is for a German number which doesn’t exist … is this company a complete scam ???

This is the third escape-proof harness I have bought from Indi dog, and I would not go anywhere else. These are high quality robust harnesses with plenty of adjustment, excellent.

I've purchased a few of these harnesses over the years and the quality and attention to detail couldn't be better - it's perfect. The webbing used is soft, the fleece padding is comfortable for my dogs that have short fur and thin skin. The only reason for 4 stars is communication could be better - seemed to require multiple emails and there was some confusion in delivery expectation timeframe due to different information being posted in different areas of the webpage and SHOP app. Expect custom fit orders to take awhile, but it is 100% worth the wait!
